Humans

    Rika Suzuki

Voiced by: Asuka Nishi (Japanese), Alexis Tipton (English)

Emi's best friend from the call center agency. A former resident of Kobe, she hides her accent to avoid people asking her about the Kobe earthquake, which killed some friends of hers.

  • Accent Interest: She is from Kobe but she hides her accent to avoid people asking her about the Kobe earthquake. She does speak it when speaking with her folks.
  • Berserk Button: Having lost friends and classmates in the Kobe earthquake, Rika relates how she would always get extremely angry whenever anyone asks her about it, so she's particularly happy when Emi (who presumably doesn't know about the earthquake) doesn't say a thing about it.
  • Cuteness Proximity: In episode 9 she gives Chiho a big hug after seeing how adorable she is in her work uniform.
  • Hypocrite: While she hates people asking about her past, at times she will pester her way into finding out the past of people around her.
  • I'm Taking Her Home with Me!: Rika's reaction when she first meets Chiho is to give her a bear hug and request for her to become her friend.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Emi is hellbent on not involving Rika, and Alciel even comes up with an extremely elaborate and brilliant lie to excuse everyone's behavior. This got shot to hell in Volume 8 when Emi contacted her via Idea Link (which gave away her location to the angels), her trying to get information from Ashiya and not succeeding, then Gabrial and the Heavenly Legion attacked Villa Rosa Sasazuka and kidnapped Ashiya and Nord Justina and only she was saved by Amane.
  • Love Confession: Gives one to Ashiya in Volume 13, to which he rejects. However, by Volume 16, after a bit of consideration, she realized that Ashiya didn't actually properly reject her, so she decides to go after him again.
  • Luminescent Blush: When Alciel thanks her for putting a more positive spin on his new house husband tendencies, she blushes and looks down until Emi snaps her out of it.
  • Muggle Best Friend: Emi's closest friend on earth.
  • Office Lady: Her day job, which she works alongside Emi.
  • Shipper on Deck: She ships Emi/Maou, despite the fact Emi says she's not interested.
  • Tsundere: Despite overall being a nice gal, she uncharacteristically treats Maou with hostility in their first encounter, mostly to get a read if he's actually boyfriend material for Emi.
  • Unwitting Muggle Friend: Though she has no intention of prying, as They're Called "Personal Issues" for a Reason.

    Mayumi Kisaki

Voiced by: Yumi Uchiyama (Japanese), Caitlin Glass (English)

The manager of the MgRanold's where Maou and Chiho works.

  • The Ace: For MgRanold's. Her store boost a 100% revenue increase from the previous year. Maou considers her someone he wants to catch up to.
  • Burger Fool: While she takes her job at MgRanold's very seriously, her actual passion is being a barista, which she deftly demonstrates when the Hatagaya MgRanold's opens its cafe. After she's selected for transfer to a desk job, she plans to quit the company in 3 years, open her own coffee house, and hire Maou and Sariel.
  • Informed Attractiveness: The light novel states that she has the face and figure of a model.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: She doesn't fire Chiho despite her initial screwups at work, and recognizes Maou's hard work and dedication. She eventually rewards him with full time work and a raise, followed by making him an assistant manager.

Other

    Miki Shiba a.k.a. Miki-T/Da'at
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miki_shiba.png
Voiced by: Kimiko Saito (Japanese), Cynthia Cranz (English)

Miki-T is the landlord for Maou and Alciel and has a rather gonky appearance, but she knows more than she's letting on.

  • Brown Note: Looking at her in a bikini causes loss of consciousness and involuntary vomiting for Maou, Alciel and Lucifer.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: She's quite familiar with magical goings-on, but this doesn't really show up until most of the way through the first novel. In the anime, due to Adaptation Distillation, her alerting Maou and Alciel about the magic sonar pulses is never touched upon or explained.
  • Delusions of Beauty: Miki believes that she is beautiful, often pointing out that the "Mi" in her name means "beautiful", despite being morbidly obese. A photograph of herself in a swimsuit which she sent to the demons from Enta Isla cause them to experience a violent burst of nausea.
  • Fan Disservice: Her bikini picture is so bad that seeing it makes Maou and Lucifer collapse. Alciel had to go to the bathroom and puke. He later tries to use it as a weapon.
  • Gonk: She's so ugly that her looks frighten Maou and Alciel. You don't want to see her in a bikini.
  • Insistent Terminology: Claims her name, Miki, is spelled with the kanji for beauty and radiance. Additionally, she insists people call her Miki-T.
  • I Was Quite the Looker: She apparently looked a lot like her niece when she was younger.
  • Physical God: It's revealed in the novels that she is Da'at, the last of Earth's Sephirah, as a result of Earth's Tree of Life reaching its full potential, and the incarnation of the Kabbalic concept of Knowledge, as close an existence to God as is possible.

    Amane Ohguro/Binah
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amane_oguro_1.png
Voiced by: Yuko Kaida (Japanese), Dani Chambers (English)

Miki-T's niece and the owner of Ohguro-ya. Like her aunt, she knows a lot more than what she's letting on.

  • The Bus Came Back: She originally only appeared in Volume 4, but came back in Volume 8 and becomes a regular presence ever since due to her moving into Villa Rosa Sasazuka after her dad kicked her out of Ohguro-ya due to the events in Volume 4.
  • God's Hands Are Tied: Apparently there are certain rules that govern her ability to give out information, namely that she can't say what Miki-T hasn't already said.
  • Physical God: She's Earth's version of Binah (or at least a child of one), one of the Jewel on the Tree of Sephirot. This, as she noted, makes her distantly related (due to being on different planet; each planet with sapient life has their own Tree) to Alas Ramus, who is a fragment of Ente Isla's version of Yesod, another Jewel.
  • The Little Shop That Wasn't There Yesterday: After the fight on the beach, she decides to fire the whole gang due to completely throwing out the beach's energy balance out of whack (although she's generous enough to give some payment bonus due to general good work), and snapped her finger, covering the whole area with fog, and the next thing the gang knows after she cryptically talked to them, the beach and the shop was gone. Any attempts to ask around for her or calling her cellphone resulted in zero response, as if the people in the town never knew of her existence.
