Supa Strikas

    In General

As a whole

The main team of their titular series. Each episodes of the Supa Strikas centers around them as the main protagonists.

  • Badass Normal: In their own accord, they are this when it comes to several situations that involves football.
  • Busman's Holiday: Whenever Strikas go on vacation, they'll be in a circumstance to be forced to play football.
  • Character Focus: Each episode tends to focus on a particular character, and they usually make a point of it by making the cold open have a scene that focuses on that character. Or rather whenever they joined Shakes on that matter.
  • Red Is Heroic: They all wear red shirts and of course, they are the main protagonist of the show.
  • Red Shirt: Literal with Strikas' bench players but subverted in that they're more like Mauve Shirtnote  and downplayed, of course, since it's just football, no matter how serious.
  • The Main Characters Do Everything: Done to extreme levels. The only coaching staff is the man only known as Coach. There are no medical staff, and the players are frequently seen treating each other (or sent to a hospital). When something needs to be fixed or a mystery needs to be solved, a player (and at times Spenza, a friend of the players) take care of it which can cause them to miss parts of the game. The opposition teams do the same, with whatever mean trick they do usually done by their star player.

    Shakes

Shakes

The youngest member and the star player of Supa Strikas. He comes from Kenya and takes the position of striker, wears the no. 10 Jersey. Shakes is known to be The Everyman of the team who often finds himself in tough situations yet he also finds ways to solve it by the end of the day, usually with the help of his friends and teammates.

  • Arch-Enemy: To Skara from Invincible United. No matter how many times Shakes face Invincible United, he always fight against Skara.
  • Nice Guy: His most defining trait. No matter what happens, Shakes would be there to help his teammates along the way. Willing to extend a helping hand to anyone else in need and even his own opposition. The Cold Open for "Food for Thought!" has Shakes winning the Super League Fair Play award before a food fight breaks out caused by him and Skara.
  • Not So Above It All: While Shakes is more of a Straight Man, he often joins the others with their playful antics.
  • Only Sane Man: He's the only striker (not counting Coach) who knows something is up in every game that the Supa Strikas faced.

     El Matador

El Matador

Shakes's striking partner from Spain and wears the no. 20 jersey. He is often seen wearing a pair of aqua strapped sunglasses and his hair fashioned into a ponyttail. He is the most expensive player in the Super League and thus the one of the most wealthiest players in the team. El Matador is incredibly self-absorbed, selfish, melodramatic and obsessed with hogging the spotlight. Despite these qualities the Supa Strikers mean a lot to him. He is also worth every penny as he is a very skilled player, capable of scoring goals in almost every scenario. A very consistent goalscorer.

  • Cool Car:
    • As expected for someone as vain and very conscious about appearances as El Matador, he owns quite a lot of very impressive and cool-looking cars. We get to see most of them in "Your Latest Trick", but the most common one seen is "Bruno", a gold Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560–4.
    • The rest of his collection seems to be another gold Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560–4 also nicknamed "Bruno", one Coupe and one Porsche Spyder.
  • Cool Shades: His favorite accessory is a pair of strapped sunglasses with aqua lenses and yellow frames, he tends to be very overprotective of them and gets very strict when either teammates or anybody else touches them.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": While a few of the players are usually called by their nicknames yet their real names are known, El Matador is one of the few that is usually called by their nickname exclusively, with his real name being unknown.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's absolutely full of himself and always tries to make himself seem like the best thing there ever was. But at times he is willing to tone down his narcissism and look out for his fellow teammates if needed be.
  • It's All About Me: Saying he is narcissistic would be an undestatement. He's incredibly full of himself yet it's not unfounded as he's one of the highest scoring players in the Super League. Despite all that however, he's still pretty good when it comes to teamwork, willing to give others credit and support and doesn't try to hog all the spotlight from his teammates.

     Klaus

Klaus von Jurgen Ulf Gutentag

The backup third striker in the trio of strikers for the team. He hails from Germany and wears the no. 2 jersey. Klaus has long blonde hair and a pretty large chin. He loves to read, especially detectives novels like the Inspector Von Spectre series being quite addicted to them too. While Klaus isn't usually in the starting lineup and has an inferiority complex due to not being noticed as much as Shakes or El Matador, he's still a dependable player as 65% of the goals that the two other strikers scored were provided to them by Klaus, proving his solid position in the team and trio. He is sometimes referred to by fans and the Super League as the "Super Sub".

  • Bookworm: Klaus is an avid reader, from gossip magazines to mystery novels. His love for reading does end up helping the team, such as in "No Man's Island" where he is able to share crucial information that helps his team realize that (as per usual) Invincible United were cheating to win.
  • Cowardly Lion: He tends to get scared easily especially if something strange happens or the opposition happens to be intimidating. Yet he can still suck it up and is willing to do what he can if needed be.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: He's very out there and has a pretty overactive imagination. Which tends to be grating towards his teammates.
  • Germanic Depressives: Averted hard. While he hails from Germany, he's practically one of the most cheerful and eccentric members of the team. A Cloudcuckoolander Comic Relief who is almost always doing something rather odd or at least making a fool out of himself, yet has a sunny disposition nonetheless.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: An eccentric goofball he may be, he's one of the most sentimental members of the team and does his best to be helpful to both the Supa Strikas and anyone that might need his help.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: He absolutely adores strudel, most of "Own Ghoul" has him looking to get some to eat while visiting Feratuvia. With the Butler form "On Klaus Inspection" already having some strudel ready as it's a butler's duty to know their guests.

     Twisting Tiger

Twisting Tiger

The team's right winter and midfielder from Japan, wearing the number 16 jersey. He previously played for Nakama FC before joining with Supa Strikas. Tiger is know for his accurate shooting, incredible speeds and disorientating spins. His signature move is the Twisting Tornado (which he can do normally or even upside down). Tiger is known to be one of the quickest players in the field, being able to zoom past opposing players with ease. He wears a golden tiger necklace as a lucky charm and believes it helps Supa Strikas in their matches.

  • Anime Hair: Not only is his hair a darker shade of red but its also almost perpetually upright and spiky.
  • Establishing Character Moment: In the first episode of season one, he scares one of the Nakama FC players by intensely staring and then growling at him. Before cheekily stating that he was only kidding before passing the ball to Rasta. Showing that he's a subersion of the Fiery Red Head trope.
  • Fiery Redhead: Like his Establishing Character Moment shows, he's an aversion. While he has dark red hair, he's one of the more calmer, friendlier and more respectful members of the team. Although when needed be, he can be rather intense at times.

     North Shaw

Nicolas "North" Shaw

The first-choice defender of the team alongside his partner Blok, he wears the number 8 jersey. He also loves surfing and has the matching attitude/personality for it. He has dark skin, sports a blonde afro and eyebrows. Shaw can be quite competitive and reckless at times on the field, but he's a great defender. Besides soccer and surfing, he also enjoys wingsuit gliding and testing his survival skills. Even having his own survival reality show called "What to do now?"

  • Arch-Enemy: Shaw is rivals with Giorgo Liquido, Hydra's striker and fellow surfer.
  • Ambiguously Brown: He has dark skin, yet its hard to tell if it's his natural skin color or a very dark tan.
  • Surfer Dude: Has the appearance, voice accent, and lingo down to a T. With a common activitiy he partakes in when not playing soccer is usually surfing.

     Big Bo

Bojack "Big Bo" Anderson

Big Bo is the main goalkeepr and vice-captain of the Supa Strikas. He wears the number 1 jersey and is often claimed to be one of the Super League's best goalkeepers, having won many awards. He is from Liddleton, Texas, with Supa Strikas being his third team.

  • Arch-Enemy: A mostly one-sided one, Spike Dawson absolutely loathes Big Bo for giving him a Career-Ending Injury. Meanwhile Big Bo used to feel guilty about it but after several attempts by Spike Dawson to ruin him, Big Bo's feelings of guilt would be replaced by annoyance.
  • Gentle Giant: Is the fellow gentle giant of the team alongside Blok. He's a large man but overall he's friendly, caring, and does his best to look after his team.

     Blok

Jozef "Blok" Rybar

The team's second defender and North Shaw's defensive partner, wears the no. 55 jersey. Hailing from the fictional country of Brislovia (named after Bratislava and Slovakia). He is nicknamed "Blok", thanks to his pretty impressive skills when it comes to blocking the ball in soccer matches, although he is also a capable striker when needed be. While he has a tough exterior, he is actually extremely soft and caring. He's also on the quiet side which is a stark contrast to his talkative teammates. However when he does speak, most of the time people have ahard time understanding him as he almost exclusively communicates inn Brislovian, although he at least understands English.

  • Charles Atlas Super Power: While he is one of the team's largest and strongest members, the feats his able to do are close to superhuman. From being able to send the ball flying through practically the entire pitch with a kick, to straight up going toe-to-toe with his own powerful robotic doppleganger!
  • Gentle Giant: He's one of the team's larger members and while he isn't afraid to use his brawn, he's a massive softie.
  • Intelligible Unintelligible: In later seasons, instead of being The Unintelligible to almost the entire team. It seems most of the team is able to understand his language quite easily.
  • Mirror Match: In "Roblok Wars", Toni manages to swap the sabotaged Roblok with the Real Blok causing chaos in the match between Supa Strikas and Technicali. Thankfully the Real Blok comes in at the nick of time and fights his robotic doppleganger, surprisingly being able to match it blow-for-blow.
  • Suddenly Speaking: Downplayed, while he does speak from time to time, it's mostly in his native tongue. However at the end of "Communication Blok", after a successful match against Technicalli and the help of Shakes makes him reconsider his choice of quitting the team. He responds to shakes friendly goodbye with a gravely yet simple "Bye bro."
  • The Quiet One: Blok usually keeps to himself and even when he does speak it's usually in his native language. That the audience (and sometimes certain members of his team)can't fully understand.
  • The Unintelligible: He mainly speaks in his native tongue of Brislovian which sounds more like indistinct grunts and growls. Only Shakes and North Shaw are members of the team to understand him.

Invincible United

    In General

Invincible Unitedg

Hailing from South Africa of Italian Origins, Invincible United are the main antagonists of the show, biggest and biter rivals of and the Evil Counterpart to the Supa Strikas. They are considered one of the best teams in the Super League but also its most meanest and dishonest. Their coach is Vince (who has history with Coach and Shake's father). The team's most notable players are Skarra (lead striker and former captain), Dooma (current team captain), Automatic (former Supa Strikas member and has powerful throw-ins), Dingann (primary defender), Snake, Knight and "The Web" (goalkeeper). Their home stadium is The Vice which has a design based on the Roman Colosseum and has a capacity of 60,000.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Unlike the Supa Strikes, they will do anything whatever it takes to win even using underhanded tactics. This often bites them back in the ass.
  • Meaningful Name: While it is a foreign name, Dingaan sounds a lot like Dingbat and he's defintiely far from the brightest person in the team (or even in general).

Iron Tank

    In General

FC Iron Tank

Iron Tank are a super league team hailing from Germany. Its players are made up of both former and active members of the Bundeswehr. Their coach is Colonel Von Pushup and its notable players are Johann Uber, Thor, Von Eye, and the Mangler (goal keeper). Another knowm player is Erin, a smaller and tech-savvy player who often is in charge of Iron Tank's Intelligence division. They are considered one of the roughest, toughest, and strongest teams in the Super league.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: In "Dat Boot", Uber accidentally helps Shakes by lip-reading Dancing Rasta's instructions, although by the time he realizes his mistake it was already too late.

Technicali

    In General

FC Technicali

FC Technicali is a team that comes from Los Angeles, United Stataes. Their coach is Toni Vern, a Mad Scientist type who is usually busy trying to think up of ways to cheat just to win in their games rather than actually helping his team get better at footbal. Their most notable players are Chuck T. Chipperson, John J. Johnson Jr. and Benedict B. Bradley. The team's lead striker, midfielder and goalkeeper respectively. After Invincible United, Technicali is one of the more notorious cheaters in the Super League, although that's mainly because of Toni's doing rather than the team itself. Technicali's home stadium is Technical Stadium, sometimes referred to as The Hub, and has a capacity of 68,000.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Toni Vern is always thinking of underhanded ways to win against opposing teams through the use of technology, especially Supa Strikas. Which almost always ends up backfiring when either Supa Strikas find out or they eventually find a way to circumvent it.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: After his appearance in his semi-titular episode "Blok/Attak". Blok's brother Attak is never seen again playing for Technicali.

    In General

FC Grimm

Debuting in Season 3 Episode 3, Grimm FC is a Romanian Team located in the fictional country of Feratuvia. Their coach is Coach Belmont and the team's legendary player is Spike "Awesome" Dawson. Their lead midfielder and captain is Vladimir Savich from Serbia. The land and the players greatly enjoy putting up a monster/Halloween-theme, even using Halloween tricks to intimidate the oppositions. Grimm's home stadium is called "The Cauldron". Their legendary player was Spike "Awesome" Dawson but he was accidentally injured out of his career by Big Bo.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite their intimidating appearances and love for all things spooky, monster and halloween-themed, they're surprisingly decent people. Unlike other teams who almost regularly cheat before a match, Grimm FC usually has outside forces cheat for them without their consent or knowledge.
    • The only time they actually cheat is in "Ahead of the Game" and even then compared to the records of some of the other teams, the fact they only cheated once is pretty impressive.
  • Fat Bastard: Spike Dawson is an incredibly petty, obese, and gluttonous bastard. At first he's the high-ranking type of business fat bastard before ending up as a Basement-Dweller.
  • Formerly Fit: After his Career-Ending Injury, Spike Dawson would lose himself hard. Going from a decently lean and mean athlete into a Fat Bastard.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: [[spoiler Spike Dawson would end up binging on strudel after his Career-Ending Injury until he ended up incredibly obese]].

Hydra

    In General

FC Hydra

A footbal club representing France. They are known for having one of the Super League's fastest players owing to their underwater training. Their coach is Alfredo Del Aqua and their notable players are Giorgo Liquido (lead midfielder) and Skipper (Team captain), although other known players of the team include Shane Fin, Ripple White, and Joe Mamoa. Hydra has one of the most unique stadiums in the Super League which is aptly called "the Floating Stadium", which true to its name floats above the ocean and can even submerge to protect itself form upcoming storms, it also has a capacity of 70,000.

  • Arch-Enemy: Giorgo Liquido's main rival on Supa Strikas is North Shaw, however he does seem to set his sights on Twisting Tiger as well. Such as in the episodes "Tough Luck" and "Worth His Weight in Goals", as both are considered one of the fastest players in the league in the latter.
  • Surfer Dude: Liquido and a few other members of Hydra are surfers just like North Shaw, although they're more of the antagonistic surfer bro types.
