Murraseth

The main nation of the Catfolk.

Nurvatcha

A coastal nation that is the homeland of the reclusive spider people Anadi.
  • The Theocracy: Subverted. The Anadi government is organized around the Empty Throne, an empty seat meant for the Anadi's main goddess Nana Anadi (Grandmother Anadi), but it's an honorary seat, and Grandmother Spider is not expected to rule.

Vidrian

Formerly Sargava, a Cheliaxan colony cut off by the Eye of Abendego and paying tribute to the Free Captains. Has since gained its independence and is struggling with unity amidst several squabbling tribes and former colonists.
  • Amoral Afrikaner: Inverted with modern Vidrians who, while dependent on mercenary work as a major export, are generally seen as a cosmopolitan and community minded people that despise slavery. Played straight with the old nobility of Sargava who were unrepentant slavers and bigots.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Of colonization in general and the Scramble for Africa is particular.

Tirakawhan

Rahadoum

    In General
This northern Garundi nation has forsaken all Gods and forbids their worship within their borders.
  • Flat-Earth Atheist: And militantly so. The Rahadoumi government enforces its policy of state-sponsored atheism by making liberal use of its armed forces to, ah, discourage the practice of worship and religion.

    Rashana
A ghast and priest of Kabriri who created a number of potent magic items, including the Ghoul Stone.

    Amir
A human who converted to the worship of Kabriri and carried the Ghoul Stone.
  • Category Traitor: He worships Kabriri, something usually only done by ghouls.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: As part of the worship of Kabriri.
  • Uncertain Doom: He crawled into the Darklands, "never to see the sun again." Whether he died or just became something else that prefers the night isn't clear.

    Maghara
CG male young adult copper dragon ghost, CR 13

Slain by Aashaq as he attempted to visit his mate, Maghara's spirit became bound to his lair rather than the location of his death.

The Sodden Lands

    In General
This area was once three thriving nations, but was devastated by the Eye of Abendego.
  • Astrologers: Before the Eye of Abendego, the Sodden Lands were home to the greatest astrologers in all of Golarion.

    Old Wulunga
N male advanced muck bunyip

A particularly large and powerful bunyip who's gained a reputation among the people of the Sodden Lands.

Katapesh

    In General
A small nation that broke away from Osirion. Although it was founded by Sarenite expatriates, desperation gave it a new idol-wealth.
  • Bazaar of the Bizarre: Most of what can be purchased in Katapesh is more mundane, but when they say that everything can be bought and sold there, they mean everything-provided you know where to look.
  • Black Market: It's not illegal to sell anything in Katapesh, but the Nightstalls exist so that merchants can sell things like slaves and unicorn horns without getting a black eye from more empathetic residents.
  • City Guards: Katapesh has laws in the interest of smoothly facilitating trade, and it's the Zephyr Guard's job to enforce them. Unsurprisingly, they accept bribes.
  • The Conspiracy: The Pactmasters, a faceless group of merchants who enforce the anarchic state of free trade in Katapesh. They work behind the scenes, leaving the day-to-day affairs of running Katapesh to the Pactbroker Hashim ibn Sayyid. They're actually witchwyrds, four-armed aliens of a Proud Merchant Race. In addition, the Pactbroker Hashim ibn Sayyid was killed and replaced by a veiled master named Olordaera, meaning there are two conspiracies in Katapesh secretly working against each other. While the Pactmasters' belief in laissez-faire capitalism is genuine, Olordaera's goal of world domination by the alghollthu is significantly more sinister.
  • Heinous Hyena: The Lamashtu-worshipping gnolls are native to Katapesh, and they don't take kindly to newer residents. They're bandits and slavers who the few remaining adherents of Sarenrae in Solku work to drive back. Averted by Shimon-Je, who's actually an abolitonist and the biggest thorn in the Pactmasters' side.
  • Merchant City: Katapesh is known for the slave trade and pesh, but just about everything can be purchased there.
  • Slave Market: Okeno is home to the most infamous slavers in the Inner Sea region, and when their competitors include Cheliax, that's no small feat.
  • Vice City: Crime isn't as common as you'd think in Katapesh, but a city where the only motive is profit is bound to be corrupt. Okeno is even worse, as it's where all the slavers come from. Solku meanwhile is an aversion, as it's the center of Sarenrae's faith in the region.

    The Brazen Clutch

Vyraxis, Assarriah, and Kharumm

CG female and male wyrmling brass dragons, CR 3
A trio of bronze dragon hatchlings being held by the Aspis Consortium for sale.
  • The Chessmaster: Ever since they learned that they were going to be sold separately and that brute force wouldn't help them escape, they've been scheming and manipulating to get out.
  • Dwindling Party: There were five of them, but one was sold and another died due to mistreatment.
  • God Guise: Some of their guards hold dragons in superstitious reverence, something they deliberately exploit.

Thuvia

    In General
This nation is the home of the Sun Orchid, a key ingredient for a potion of Youth.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: When the Sun Orchid Elixir was discovered, the heads of state decreed that only the Alchemist who discovered it is allowed to make it. They sell the few they make every year at an auction in which they get to keep all bids, even those of the losers. Thuvians can't purchase it at all.

    Deyrubrujan
LE female great wyrm blue dragon, CR 21

A blue dragon who plots to influence the bidding of the Sun Orchid Elixir.

  • The Chessmaster: She prefers secrets to treasure or territory, as they give her the tools to manipulate entire cities with a few whispered words.
  • Revenge by Proxy: When a Chelish soldier failed to follow through with his part of a deal but died before she could get revenge on him, she slew his living heirs and razed their village.
