Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For PokĂ©mon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the PokĂ©mon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the PokĂ©mon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a PokĂ©mon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@ Sailor Venus: Yeah, if a Death Battle fight counts as Character Derailment we aren't including it. At least, that's what I think the rule is

@neoamon: The Steam Team aren't potholed to Land and Sea Travel in the allies section.

I'm feeling conflicted about what to do with the Archipelago. It got one abstain and one upvote, so I'm worried I'll get pushback if I decide to go ahead and make the profile.

Nitro Indigo the reason that the Steam Team isn't linked is because Franky shares the same hall with them.

[up]I forgot that.

Since the Archipelago has more upvotes than objections now, I'll start working on it.

  • Queen Dagmar is the mother of Princess Bean and princess of Maru, having first been betrothed to her uncle Yog before his death, where she settled for his brother and Bean's father Zog. There was an attempt to poison Zog with a petrification spell, but a young Bean absent-mindedly switched the chalices and she drank the poison instead. Zog lost his greatest love, and would try to find elves so as to use their blood to heal her. This was successful...unfortunately everything Zog thought he knew about his first wife was a lie. Dagmar was in fact a textbook Bitch in Sheep's Clothing who set the poison for Zog, and when found out made a potion that petrified almost all of Dreamland. She stole her daughter away, trying to manipulate her as a pawn to achieve her ultimate goal of obtaining ultimate power over magic and immortality to rule the world. She even married Satan himself. Fortunately she was defeated and her newfound immortality wouldn't mean much when being imprisoned forever in a gibbet.
  • Dagmar was meant to forever languish in that gibbet, with the knowledge her family's control over Maru was gone forever and everyone who cared about her is either dead or sees her for The Sociopath she really is. That was, until Melkor spotted her and that annoying puppet she was stuck with. He broke her out, however removed her immortality and healed her back to how she was before gaining said immortality. When demanding why, the Dark Lord of Arda said that he had been watching certain parts of the multiverse for some unexpectedly impressive magical villains. Dagmar was one of these, standing out compared to almost every Matt Groening antagonist for always been treated seriously and to date was the only one he created to have earned Complete Monster status. Also, if Cosmos can have Princess Bean, he can have her evil, hot mom. However Cosmos beat Melkor at his game by finding a position for one of Bean's closest friends, Elfo, who was the very catalyst for her resurrection. Having wanted to trap him in a collapsing cave, she wasn't enthused.
  • Princess Bean was absolutely livid to learn that her mother had ascended, and while she no longer had the immortality she learned from the Trogs, she was still the ambitious, vindictive bitch that made her an Arch-Enemy. Before she had arrived, Mom had proven to be a contender for a new arch-enemy given the similarities, though they have different ways of gaining and/or maintaining power; Mom exploits the consumerist market and sciencenote , Dagmar exploits magic. Both are good at hiding their evil nature. Bean was relieved that they chose to be rivals instead of teaming up because Mom's business model doesn't leave room for her wannabe Sorcerous Overlord shtick, she doesn't want to risk her pulling a Crossover Villain-in-Chief...and even Mom thinks her parenting is cruel. And when Mom is a better parent than you, it shows how evil you really are. Also, among her many crimes, Dagmar was personally involved with permanently killing her other close friend and herald, Luci.
  • Though she was good at faking it, she doesn't care for Bean and never did. Well, not as an individual; in order to fulfill a prophecy that could benefit her she tried to push her into villainy for her own purposes. This included putting the Crown of Pain on her head, which given the painful screws on it and how it reduced her brother Jerry to a simpleton. Knowledge of her daughter as a potential chosen one led her to be aware of Philip J Fry, "the mighty one" who's superior yet inferior brain allowed her to defeat the Brainspawn and the Dark One. Why is a subject Fry is understandably sheepish about. He seemed to be under the impression she was the kind of threat as Mom, only for Bean to tell her friend "oh no, she's worse". As a close friend of Bean, he took her word for it. Bender has chosen to wise up after learning about what happened to Luci, who bears a lot of similarities to him. Bender himself isn't much better as a parent unless your name is Ben, but he is a manageable Token Evil Teammate with enough friendships and the occasional limit to his evil to avoid being half as bad as Dagmar.
  • While there are many flawed or outright bad parents under Groening's purview, none really compare to Dagmar. Bean had some misgivings over her (now amicably ex) step-mother, she proved a welcome break from the Wicked Stepmother stereotypes in fantasy. No, it was Bean's biological mother who was wicked, and wicked beyond measure. She's well aware of that fact, and sometimes brings up that step-mom trope in jest with other evil moms she's friends with; Lady Tremaine, and the Evil Queen. Usually neither have the scale of ambitions Dagmar has, with the former's evil hitting closer to home, but personality-wise they fit. Dagmar's evil hits very close to home for Snow White. Her usage of the Crown of Pain also hits close to home for Simon Petrikov, who spent a millennium as the insane Ice King for putting on a cursed crown on his head once. All that she took from that is that the Ice Crown might be a good fit for her head. Considering she's such a ruthless sociopath, she might even be able to ignore the debilitating effects of the crown.
  • Her potion of petrification has proven a devastating tool, and it's safe to say the only way she didn't succeed a long time ago is because Bean switched the potion around by share accident. When asked how she made it, she said "gorgon eyes", before saying "I was just kidding" after pissing Medusa off. The gorgon wishes she stuck to the deadpan. She distrusts Dagmar quite a bit since she might try to use her for a more advanced petrification spell that the Elixir of Life can't fix. Currently, the evil queen is testing new deadly poisons with Queen Beryl. Dagmar affectionally refers to her as another girlboss, as Beryl will got to whatever hellish lengths possible for her to conquer the world. Yes, this includes working with the omnicidal Metallia, who turned every civilian in the Moon Kingdom to stone.
  • She's decided to work alongside the imperialist psychopath Firelord Ozai, becoming a proud honorary member of the Child Abuse Supporters. Dagmar and Ozai form a wicked Lightning/Fire Juxtaposition, swapping stories of their settings different magic settings and finding their kids "disappointing". Emperor Palpatine felt this pairing was "cute" and sees potential in her. He doesn't want her as an apprentice and after Vader isn't sure when he'll be truly ready for another, but she is welcome to be an Inquisitor if she wants to. Learning the Dark Side from him was an attractive idea, though this would guarantee the Skywalkers would put her higher on their enemies list...Luke especially, given who his dad is. One of the reasons why Dagmar is making these alliances with powerful political tyrants is that she wants to restore her family's control over the Middle Eastern-inspired Maru. They've advised her to start with try to phase using rats as currency. With Cremmorah and its snake-based economy, she admits it's something she should've thought about earlier.
  • Finds the evil mom Ragyo Kiryuin quite fashionable, but not quite the right type of evil to work with. She thought Britannian Emperor Charles might work with her, however he tacitly refuses because Even Evil Has Standards, and in his own very messed up way all the evil he's done is to make a better world for his kids. Said kids heavily disagree, and understandably don't see much of a difference between the two villainous parents in the parts of their personalities that matter. Her personal pick for a nefarious parent to ally with, though, was clearl Morathi. They're quite similar in they're sadistic beauties that manipulate their families and are eager to worship or pay homage to demonic beings behind everyone's backs, The Dark Elf proved better at it since she managed to get Malekith to defect from his kingdom and start his own when he couldn't become the Phoenix King. However her focus in on the Dark Elves triumphing, so their alliance may be one of kindred spirits but it's entirely situational and a matter of time until one stabs the other in the back. Her son Malekith was incensed by their (admittedly shaky) pairing as tyrant he may be, he is not fond of excessive hedonism or cruelty and can be Affably Evil and genuinely value both competence and family members...not something you can say about Dagmar, even ifnote  he's arguably done worse than her.
  • It's safe to say that after reducing her Satan to a Henpecked Husband and killing his son Luci, she's not going to her job of Queen of Hell back any time soon. Her power over Hell was such a threat that Bean commented she might have to do something as extreme as destroying her mother's soul, even at the expense of her own. Except even this isn't an option in the Trope Pantheon, which is why she isn't too mad about the slight de-power Melkor gave her. She wasn't actually intended to rule Hell, instead push her daughter into it, but as far as she's concerned it worked pretty well. She enjoyed "girlboss flexing" to the Lucifer that's the "CEO of Hell, and ended up making even snider comments learning a potential timeline where Azazel succeeded at taking the job and making her a maid. She'd love to shape Azazel into being a worthy ally and commander of the infernal. It doesn't matter that every member of the cast of Helltaker sees her as way too nasty for their tastes, she's still gonna try and bring out the worst in them.
  • The Satan of South Park noted this relationship, as it reminds him of the abusive relationship he had with Saddam Hussein, in which he was the victim. He managed to get rid of him by sending Saddam to Heaven with the Mormons, but in hindsight he wished that he thought of just cursing him with immortality and placing him in a place he couldn't cause trouble. Needless to say, he is not taking any chances with her. The Satan from the Castlevania series was a lot more impressed than concerned over Dagmar, musing that while he'd prefer to reign alone in Hell, she is welcome to be a close second in command. Time will tell whether they upgrade this to Unholy Matrimony.
  • Malebolgia was fairly impressed by her villainous exploits and being able to reign as queen of Hell, though reminded her that she shouldn't expect that to work on him. She wasn't trying to, and figures Malebolgia is wise enough to not let her use him as some sort of meal ticket. Though the demon lord likes Dagmar, he feels the need to "remind her of her place" by pointing to Slappy the Dummy and Chucky the Killer Doll. While she doesn't have any problems with them, she's still put off due to part of her imprisonment being having to put up with the insufferable Freckles puppet forever. Emperor Mateus treated her more warmly, having successfully conquered Heaven and Hell after he died, and proposes their empires should work together to guarantee pantheon supremacy. Adria is a more personal friend of Queen Dagmar, who was just as exploitative towards her own daughter Leah as a host towards her lover and demon lord Diablo. In hindsight, Dagmar can't help but feel as if Bean tricking her into marrying the devil instead of making her worked better than she thought.
  • White hair, mystical powers, a familial tendency for not being all that right in the head? Yeah, there's a few Targaryen jokes you can make about her. It's a dynasty she's quite interested in, seeing potential for further enhancing her own magical powers. She's impressed by one of the founders, the more ruthless Queen Visenya, and sees her as a rival. While Visenya, likely being a practitioner of dark magic, agrees with this and notes she's a cunning foe, her own evil is much more up in the air and unlike her she loved her kid. Unfortunately she and Aegon the Conqueror are not enough of a Morality Chain to stop Maegor the Cruel from really leaning into the whole "Cruel" side. He wouldn't make Dagmar his bride, but only because he likes her personality and skill at being evil. He wasn't that enthused on her desire to bring out Dany's inner darkness since she's a descendant of his hated nephew, even if they get along. That said, Dany is a lot more concerned, especially given her TV self's actions . She doesn't think that highly of her dad Aerys as he's a bit too unstable to work with her.
  • She sees a lot of her ex-husband in Robert Baratheon, seeing him as a sad, heartbroken man Loving a Shadow and letting that make him a bitter Jerkass. Even sadder, given Zog was eventually able to find happiness despite his Jaded Washout status. Safe to say Bobby B would be a lot happier if he was the parent of Bean that ascended instead of Dagmar; she's everything he hated about Cersei except with the Machiavellian part amped up, and that includes what was revealed about her after he died. The Master of Whispers, Varys, muses she is another reason for his deep distrust of magic. He's pretty sketchy, and better at it than Odval as Dagmar has mused. Cersei, for those wondering, doesn't trust Dagmar and it's not something people hold against her. However she does like conversing with her, considering both are scheming queens albeit with different angles to their lust for power, with Dagmar wanting to give advice over how to get Joffrey to be a better heir. And by better, we of course mean less Stupid Evil. Joff dismisses this as just women gossiping.
  • The closest Dagmar has ever come to caring about her daughter is her Enemy Without Bad Bean, though this is only because she's mommy's little villain and thus follows orders. She was interested in Babidi because of his ability to mind control people by influencing the darkness in their hearts, and though she chides him for his short-sightedness. Still, she has no problems working with the alien wizard to achieve their mutual goals of domination, since at this point even Babidi has wizened up to needing legitimate allies and not just brainwashed individuals. The Dark Dragon was her first choice of ally, what with his ambition of ruling a magical hegemony or else, however he refuses to accept working with a human even if he believes she's a credit to her species. She considered Tirek for a little bit but decided no, no matter how much their desires might align any magic users is a fool to get in arm's reach with him. The Godhand feel more promising, however it's more her wanting to become an Apostle, if not a member of said Godhand. It's something beyond her reach though, since it requires her to have cared about someone in the first place as someone you care about is a required sacrifice. Having climbed the ranks of nobility himself and having an unending, unfettered ambition, Griffith has a place in his frozen heart for Dagmar.
  • With what got her ascended, Dagmar is very cautious with her actions in her own Hall so she doesn't fall under the same fate a second time, especially with a poison that would just straight up kill her with no chance of revival. Granted, the Trope Pantheon makes such a thing impossible but she's savvy (or maybe just paranoid) enough to anticipate there is in fact a "true death" a resident can suffer. With a heroic user of poisoned weapons practically right next to her, it's highly prudent as Akane recognizes her as yet another nefarious tyrant that managed to make it to the Trope Pantheon. Oberyn Martell would certainly help her out with that due to the deep amount of evil Dagmar possesses, and as a loving father he is naturally appalled by her treatment of Princess Bean. Not wanting to be petrified again has her at a distance from Medusa, though she has been trying to see if she could somehow harness her petrifying appearance as an additional weapon to use against her enemies. Both Percy Jackson and Melisandre have dealt with this trope before; he and the sage Phineas had a bet where each of them drank a vial of gorgon blood, one of which had poison. However, Gaia intervened because she considered Percy more valuable alive. For Melisandre Cressen had poisoned both cups, but her magic protected her. Neither like Dagmar; Percy mostly for moral reasons, and Melisandre sees her as a potential vessel for the darkness of the Great Other.

  • Elfo is an elf from Elfwoodnote , who mostly name themselves after a certain trait, then "-o" at the end. He grew tired of the saccharine, always jolly Sugar Bowl of his setting, wanting the grime and cynical edge of the outside world. After a fight with some gnomes and ogres he ended up in Dreamland, where he ran afoul of King Zog who wanted to drain his blood for an elixir of life. He ended up becoming friends with Bean and Luci, and while his hybrid blood meant he couldn't be used to the elixir he helped find a way for it to work. Sadly he ended up dying in a miscommunicationnote  and when Bean chose her mother over him, she proved Evil All Along. Fortunately Elfo found a way back from death, and though it took some time to make up with Bean, they did.
  • Elfo has seen a lot in his life. He's gotten over his crush with Bean, found and lost love, only to eventually settle with the new queen of Dreamland Miri (aka Mop Girl). He discovered that his mother was in fact an ogre queen, Gronda, and learned that trogs were a type of elf. And he's accepted Bean's new mermaid love, Mora. Him and Luci were always going to be heralds to their close friend, and Bean thought it was only a matter of time until they pass the bar to become official deities in the Trope Pantheon. She was hoping both of them would come up, since she wanted to see Luci again, but it was a treat to see Elfo again. Unfortunately this ascension was in part, responding to Melkor's latest scheme to boost his numbers; ascend Queen Dagmar. Elfo came up as a response by Cosmos to this, though he was plenty worthy of the trope without this. Given he's half-elf, his name has been seen as ironic. On another note, he has dealt with Hansel and Gretel before...unfortunately in his universe they were maniacal cannibals more akin to the witch from the original story. Because of this, he's unable to properly trust the original articles even if they were just as horrified to learn what their alternate selves were like.
  • Homer Simpson looked at Elfo at one point and could've sworn that Bart was trying to prank him by wearing an elf costume. Visually there are similarities, even without taking having the same creator into account, though Bart feels he's more closer to a Milhouse than himself; Elfo may be seen as a renegade by the standards of his fellow elves, but note that his crimes include complaining about their overly happy lifestyle, criticizing their candy-based economy, sleeping with the king's daughter, and never returning library books. Him and Bender aren't that impressed by him and regularly rib on his "weenie-ness", yet at the same time they have a fondness for the elf. Maybe it's just down to having experience with friends like him, but that's still a good start to make conversation. Surprisingly enough, Ned Flanders has a decent accord with Elfo. Ned can be overly straight laced and uncool by most metrics, but usually has a good head on his back and when push come to shove can be surprisingly badass if need be. Maybe part of it is that suppressed desire of Ned's to be a teensy bit more wild coming out.
  • Elfo is close friends with Spike the Dragon. Like Elfo, Spike didn't exactly feel like he fit in with his kind, and is a valuable companions with lingering feelings towards another. He was shocked that dragons aren't proven to exist in Elfo's universe, given its blatant comedy fantasy setting. And if he had to be honest, he was expecting an elf to be a bit tougher...no offense to Elfo, mind you. Philip J Fry is another good friend of his, being another Groening protagonist who despite his often foolish behavior has a pretty good heart, and can relate to having a crush like Elfo did. That said, Fry would eventually become an official couple with Leela, it just took about a decade for them to officially start dating. One odd thing they have in common is being involved in a rather embarrassing Stable Time Loop. For Fry, it was botching his Back to the Future moment and becoming his own grandfather. For Elfo, it was shooting his past self by accident in an attempt to find and stop whoever killed him in the past and thus set the road for Queen Dagmar's resurrection. A couple other friends of Elfo are the Cowardly Lion and Dave Lizewski, losers who managed to prove themselves as heroes despite what doubts they or others had of them.
  • He has a surprising number of similarities to Hagrid, of all people. They're close friends of the main character, are hybrids of races with wildly different sizes with the mother being a member of the large race (giants for Hagrid, ogres for Elfo), were mostly raised by their father and have a maternal half-brother that's full the other race. Unlike Hagrid the smaller race's genes are a lot more dominant, which made it a rather shocking reveal for Elfo. And awkward in hindsight since he had been in conflict with his half-brother Junior without even knowing their relation. Don't worry though, they made up. Him and Hagrid don't have that much in common so they aren't too close, but they are affable towards one another since they're usually that to everyone anyway. Elfo is actually close friends with Hermoine due to joining her in her social movement, SPEW. Basically he cannot wrap his hands around the idea that house elves have Happiness in Slavery and joins her in vigorously protesting that status quo. Him and Harry Potter are on good terms given his heroism and friendship with Hermoine, though they're not as close. The surprise of his heritage is somewhat of a point of interest to Sunny, as she spent much of her life having no idea she was the hybrid of two different dragon breeds.
  • Legolas thinks he's a bit closer to a hobbit than anything, something the smaller elf actually thinks works as a comparison. They both became explorers bored of their home town, only to find themselves dealing with greater evil than they imagined. Malekith was embarrassed to see what some elves are like in other universes, spending their days singing song and making candy. The irony is that he probably wished his childhood was half as saccharine as Elfo's, and he proves so different in tone and personality to Elfo's kind that is scares him. Shrek was surprised to learn that he was half-ogre, and thinks that he's a pretty good lad. Elfo was quite interested to learn about his story and his friends, as they come from a similar kind of irreverent parody of fantasy tropes. He noted that technically speaking, Elfo is royalty due to who his mother is, though because both parents thought the other had died he didn't know until a lot later in life. Not that he cares too much about that, though it's an interesting talking point he sometimes brings up with Jon Snow who turned out to be the long-lost son of royalty and an unlikely romance.
  • The elves from the Warhammer universe consider his status as an elf, even a half-elf, somewhat absurd. Regardless of the alignment elves usually don't have high opinions on other races, or even other elf groups. The other Malekith, Morathi and Malus think his ilk are some High Elves descendants that were genetically emasculated and created as some sort of mockery of the race, an opinion Elfo prefers to ignore given how their evil blows virtually everything in his setting out of the water (admittedly not because they're monsters like Dagmar, but that their setting is a lot darker). Tyrion, Teclis and Alith Anir aren't impressed by Elfo, but they begrudgingly admit he's an accomplished hero and stuff like going to Hell as part of a plan to get out with his friends was kind of badass. Orion doesn't bother with any haughtiness, musing while largely ambivalent towards Elfo and his kind he does respect his lack of pomposity and level-headed personality.
  • Lord Farquaad thinks that his hybrid status makes him a freak, and he's unfortunately not the only person who believes that. Dolores Umbridge went on a racist tirade on him being some abomination due to his parentage, calling him a Child by Rape (which is blatantly untrue) or that his father's pairing was an ogre was basically bestiality (again, blatantly not true), which pisses Elfo off but not to the degree of consuming him or making him feel ashamed of himself. He's perceptive enough to see Farquaad calling him a freak unfit for his vision of the world as Psychological Projection, has Farquaad himself is apparently half-dwarf (and even discounting that, he doesn't live up to his own standards of normal anyway and is clearly compensating because he's insecure about his size). Elfo is insecure yes, but not about any racial attributes. Rather, it's his Ear Notch he's insecure about. And this insecurity wasn't made any less due to the trope's holder Zira existing, due to all the evil she's done. Jack Horner doesn't hold his hybrid status against him...if only because he holds equal contempt for any magical race. He wanted to take him to harvest his blood similar to Zog, only to be annoyed that his hybrid status makes him "useless", albeit only in his self-serving eyes.
  • Because he was seen as an outsider by his people, and to a lesser extent Dreamland too, he can easily understand what Rudolph went through and gets along with the reindeer. Santa Claus has noted that the elves Elfo belonged to were physically similar to his Christmas Elves, and wonders if they and the trogs might be evolutionary cousins of sorts. While his universe doesn't have Christmas, he still gave Elfo a gift of an expensive flute since he's proven himself to be on the nice list. Elfo sometimes like to play this flute alongside Astolfo, since he likes his cheerful attitude and that it's not as saccharine as Elfwood; the fact that not being cheerful and experiencing the more cynical side of life was taboo there was his real problem with his homeland. Astolfo has a bunch of fun adventuring stories to tell. While he is seen as an outsider by his kind, he still has a strong Sweet Tooth. He's curious about Princess Bubblegum because of her Candy Kingdom, and Vanellope as she lives in a (almost literal) Sugar Bowl video game called Sugar Rush. They found that they had some things in common as Vanellope wanted more out of her life, leading to her moving to a different racing game named Slaughter Race.
  • When he died, he went to Heaven, but intentionally got himself sent to Hell by making fun of Jerry as part of a scheme to come back to life. This almost backfired massively with him being stuck witnessing the worst moment of his life forever, but luckily Luci is one crafty little demon and got him resurrected. An attempt to assassinate Shrek by Lord Farquaad via cross-bow ended up hitting Elfo instead, and a glitch in the pantheon's revival system had him stay dead for some time. Elfo feared he would end up in the realm of the Kingdom of the Emperor Dolorous, but instead he ended up in a hula and luau. There he met the Satan of South Park, who was surprisingly approachable. Having dealt with his own relationship issues he liked to hear how even if he was a Dogged Nice Guy at first he matured and found a healthy relationship. Also, getting himself kicked out as part of a plan was pretty badass for someone seen by most as a wuss. The two have a casual friendship, though it might just be because Satan can get pretty lonely at times and his Disenchantment counterpart gave a good word about the elf.
  • Because he was resurrected, he is liable to potentially becoming a Black Lantern sleeper agent by Nekron should an emotional tether be made. While Nekron is an Enemy to All Living Things, he takes special umbridge in the resurrected (despite allowing resurrections to create sleeper agents). Unsurprisingly, Elfo is scared of the Lord of the Unliving. He's just as if not more so scared of the Death from Final Destination, who could easily see what his return as cheating and has a sadistic sense of balancing its books. He's talked about it with the protagonists from Final Destination, who can understand Elfo's embarrassment over causing his own death in an attempt to avert it, though both parties can agree the former got it worse. Voldemort was rather perplexed by Elfo not being nearly as afraid of death and going to Hell as part of his friends' plan. While having his own bigotries against Elfo, the elf is more put off by all the evil he's done than anything.

Okay, um, I'm going to ask, I want to make a suggestion but I don't know how to and can't write it fully as it will take a lot of more time than expected, but can I just leave a simple suggestion that possibly someone who is interested or intrigued might consider making it a full-fledged suggestion for the pantheon? Admittedly, I can't figure out about how the candidate for ascended would have specific relationships (allies/enemies) to figure ahead.

Do we have one for either Cannon Fodder or Propaganda Hero yet? Because I have one that would work for either.

The Helldiver Corps, Divine Organization of Dying in Droves (if taken, Divine Organization of Looking Heroic for the Camera) https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/helldiver_corps.jpg

Rank: Demigod (Quasideity without Stratagems)

Symbol: The yellow Helldiver Corps skull insignia

Theme Songs: Helldivers Main Theme, "A Cup of Liber-Tea"

Alignment: Lawful Evil

Portfolio: Space Marine, Diving Into Hell, Having Cool Capes, Stuff Blowing Up, Obliterating Their Enemies To Dust, High Turnover Rate, Throwing Bodies At An Objective, Spreading Managed Democracy Across The Galaxy By Force, Surviving Substantially Longer Than Their Predicted Life Expectancy

Domains: Protecting Managed Democracy, Patriotism, Jingoism, Unfaltering faith in systems we don't understand

Herald: General Brasch

Followers: Johnny Rico of the Terran Mobile Infantry, Resocialized Terran Marines, The Imperial Guard

Allies: Broforce

Enemies: Any Horde of Alien Locusts, All Killer Robots, All Space Elves

That's all I've got so far.

[up] sorry if I missed it, but did you make a proposal for this previously?
