Video Game: The Division
The Division is an upcoming Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game open-world Third-Person Shooter under the Tom Clancy brand (such as Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell, though it should be noted that Clancy himself is not involved directly in the game) by Ubisoft Massive, announced at E3 2013. Planned to be released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, but later expanded to PC due to overwhelming request from fans.

In 2001, a simulation in emergency response to a bio-terrorist attack on the United States, Operation Darkwinter, has revealed that America is very much more vulnerable than it thought with society predicted to totally collapse in just five days. The President secretly signed Directive 51 in 2007, as a contingency to cope with a real Darkwinter scenario. Rumors fly around that covert agents and splinter groups are planted all over the country, but nothing can be confirmed. Then the real thing came...

The Division takes place in a dystopian near-future version of New York City. Society has become "fragile" and "complex", noting the fact that terrorists were able to unleash a pathogen by exploiting the cash consumers use to spend on Black Friday. Players are members of "The Division", a classified unit of high-trained, tactical self-supporting agents working on containing the crisis throughout America.

The Division involves an interesting gameplay mix of Watch_Dogs (user interface), Ghost Recon (tactical and squad-based mechanics), and Sword Art Online (RPG Elements and Skill Scores and Perks). The game also introduces "Snowdrop", a new proprietary engine that Ubisoft will use for The Eighth Generation of Console Video Games. Ubisoft revealed the game through a seven-minute trailer, consisting of nothing but gameplay and improvised dialogue from demonstrators. Fan reception has been extremely positive, with many calling it the Watch Dogs of E3 2013 (a Ubisoft game that's a new IP announced at their E3 presentation the public was unaware of prior to the conference with positive reception).
