• October 16: During an excavation of a colonial era house in the Black Hills outside Burkittsville, Maryland, students from the University of Maryland's Department of Anthropology discover a duffel bag belonging to Heather Donahue, one of three film students who disappeared in October 1994. The bag contains various pieces of filmmaking equipment, including footage of the final days of Heather, Josh Leonard and Mike Williams. The anthropology professor David Mercer is at a loss to explain how the bag could have been buried under the house as the soil had seemingly been undisturbed for more than 200 years. • October 18: Dade Murphy (formerly known as Zero Cool, now going by Crash Override) and his friends frontline a worldwide army of hackers to crack into the Ellingson Mineral Corporation’s Gibson supercomputer, facing off against Ellingson’s IT Security Head Eugene Belford aka The Plague. They are arrested by Richard Gill of the Secret Service, but succeed in both thwarting the daVinci virus that threatened to capsize Gibson’s oil tankers and obtaining evidence of a worm that was embezzling money from Ellingson’s financial transactions, with Emmanuel Goldstein aka Cereal Killer taking to Razor & Blade’s Hack the Planet show to expose Belford as the architect of both the daVinci virus and the worm it was a smokescreen for. • October-November: Methos romances waitress Alexa Bond, not caring that she has inoperative terminal cancer. The two leave on a world tour. (Highlander: The Series)
• October 27: Ms. Frizzle's class misses a scheduled dress rehearsal for a concert the next day and end up trapped in the Walkerville Sound Museum, where Carlos Ramon learns why his instrument kept sounding "ploopy". (The Magic School Bus)
• October 31: Parent-Teacher Day at Walkerville Elementary. Ralphie Tennelli is convinced Ms. Frizzle may be a vampire and leads a stakeout to find out for sure. (The Magic School Bus)
• November 21: Birth of Mary Lindsey to single mother Dr. Anne Lindsey. Duncan MacLeod helps Anne through labor and gives her a house as a present. It is the last meeting between the two former lovers. (Highlander: The Series)
• November 28: First appearance of Thailog, a clone of Goliath. (Gargoyles)
• December 1: A meteor impacts Maple Valley, Washington, utterly destroying a local factory owned by the Betty Crocker company but leaving the human infant riding it miraculously unharmed. The girl is soon adopted by the multimillionaire owner of the aforementioned corporation, Hass "The Flame" Harley and named Jade Harley. On the same day, an ectobiological sample is taken of Nanna Egbert, one of the witnesses of the catastrophe. (Homestuck)
• December 3: Jade Harley and her adoptive Grandpa, Hass "The Flame" Harley, move to the uninhabited island where the Frog Temple and Becquerel, First Guardian of Earth, are located. An ectobiological sample of Hass is collected. (Homestuck)
• December 4: A meteor impacts Houston, Texas, destroying a small record shop. The meteor was carrying a pony and a human infant; the pony dies on impact but the child is miraculously unharmed. The infant, a boy, is adopted by one of the former patrons of the shop and named Dave Strider. On the same day, another infant-bearing meteor ends all aquatic life in a lake in New York, but leaves its cargo unharmed. The infant, this time a girl, is adopted by a local scientist and named Rose Lalonde. An ectobiological sample of Bro Strider, Dave's adoptive guardian, is also collected at this time. (Homestuck)

  • Wanda Li plans to go see The Nutcracker, but things go wrong at Walkerville's recycling plant, and she learns a valuable lesson about recycling.   • The Monster Hunter International 100th anniversary Christmas party is interrupted by an attack from the dimension of the Old Ones, killing 97 Hunters and forcing the company to shut down. (Monster Hunter International)

• NSA agent Bert Myers pursues Rogue Agent Frank Brennan to Central Park, where Brennan is shot by off-duty police officer Nick Wolfe. Brennan secretly revives as an immortal and goes into hiding. After her friends Mia Rowlands and Jesse Handon are splashed with a toxic chemical in a drum dated 1919 found in an old well, Jo embarks on a mission to change history so that the drum is never placed in the well. The two girls also learn that Louisa's neighbor Sir Ivor Creevey-Thorne is holding his young ward Nicholas, who is secretly Tsarevich Alexei of Russia, prisoner and plans to sell him to the highest bidder. • A Wraith scout ship crashes near Zaddik's village on a planet in the Pegasus galaxy. The villagers decide to take no chances and kill the surviving Wraith. However, they miss two of them: an adult male and a young female. Zaddik finds the female, names her Ellia and raises her as his own daughter. They live in an abandoned mine in the forest for the next ten years. The male Wraith periodically kills villagers in order to sustain himself and comes to be known as the Daimos. (Stargate Atlantis)
• Private eye Harry D'Amour uncovers a plot to resurrect a dark sorcerer. (Lord of Illusions)

During the preparation of the festivities, Lisa Simpson discovers the confession note Jebediah Springfield wrote about his past as the pirate Hans Sprungfeld, and tries to reveal it to the town, with only Homer Simpson believing her. Despite eventually finding indisputable proof, Lisa decides to hide it, believing that the myth of Jebediah Springfield has far more positive influence than the truth of the man he really was ever could. The infant boy and the rather hefty unabridged joke book riding the meteor are completely unharmed. The boy is adopted by Nanna Egbert's son and named John Egbert. • July 4: Humans win the day against an Alien Invasion, and from then on the Fourth of July is no longer known as an American holiday.
