Time in the restored Digital World now flows at the same rate as the Real World. With the gate between the Real and Digital Worlds set to close (and there being a risk of the Digital World viewing them as anomalies to be erased), the Chosen Children say goodbye to their Digimon and return back to the Real World, albeit with hope that they will reunite again one day. There, they find Pumpmon and Gotsumon, two minions of Vamdemon who are more interested in causing mischief in Shibuya than fighting the Chosen Children. However, Vamdemon kills them for their insolence, leading an infuriated Yamato and [=WereGarurumon=] to battle Vamdemon, with Takeru and Angelmon helping drive him off.
