  • 3-2-1 Penguins!: In the episode "The Green Eyed Monster", Zidgel faints when he discovers just how big this grass-eating monster is.
  • Adventures in Odyssey: In "A Stranger Among Us", Eugene passes out from shock after finding that Connie is still alive.
  • Adventure Time:
    • In "Princess Monster Wife", Princess Monster Wife's appearance is so horribly disfigured that Finn and Jake cannot look at her without fainting.
    • Lumpy Space Princess faints when she realizes there is no phone coverage inside the shelter in "Bad Jubies"
    • Princess Bubblegum faints with relief after her people were saved from a plague by the Ice King's pained howls. After trying to flip over a bed and shouting in Gratuitous German first.
    • Played straight by Marceline of all people. In Betty she gets a little... overwhelmed by the discovery that her old friend and father figure Simon had been freed from the ice crown's curse.
  • The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Hugh and Judy both faint when they see Jimmy get sucked up into the Junkman's ship by the League of Villains in "The League of Villains".
  • Alfred J. Kwak: Winnie faints when Dolf repeatedly threatens to kill her to get information out of Von Paljas in "Non Lang En Gelukkig". She's unconscious for an abnormally long time.
  • The Amazing World of Gumball: In "The Singing" Teri, who is Terrified of Germs, passes out when she sees the rat spreading music around. She then has a dream about germs that pastiche J-pop.
  • American Dad!: Played for laughs when Stan outs Terry as a homosexual to his homophobic father. Terry faints into his lover's arms in the most girly way possible, and Stan, drunk off his ass, calls him out on it.
    Stan: That's not how a straight guy faints. This is how a straight guy faints! [faceplants]
  • Amphibia: Mr. Boonchuy faints at the sight of talking anthropomorphic frogs in "The New Normal".
  • Atomic Betty: In "The No-L 9" Betty's mom understandably faints upon seeing her dad for the first time in 30 years.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender :
    • Sokka faints when he observes Ying giving birth in "The Serpent's Pass". Probably because he literally saw it about to happen (i.e. the baby was crowning just as he walked into the tent).
    • In "The Awakening", Aang wakes up from a coma following a life-or-death situation... in a Fire Nation ship. With his friends disguised as Fire Nation soldiers, complete with Sokka in full armor. The shock of the situation (combined with him still feeling physically woozy to begin with) knocks him out cold for a couple more minutes, until his friends get him back up to speed when he wakes up again.
  • The Batman:
    • "A Matter of Family". Completely justified for Tony Zucco. He's just had his ass handed to him by a very angry Batman, then fallen from the top of a trapeze, only to be caught by Robin before he hits the ground. Once he's back on solid ground, he understandably faints dead away.
  • Batman: The Animated Series:
    • In "Two Face: Part 1", Grace faints when she sees Two-Face's face for the first time.
    • In "Feat of Clay, Part 1", Raymond Bell faints while being questioned by Batman. Considering Batman's terrifying interrogation technique, it is not surprising.
  • Batman: The Brave and the Bold: In the cold open of "Enter the Outsiders!", a bystander faints at the sight of Bwana Beast's Two Beings, One Body powers in action.
  • Big City Greens: in "Blood Moon", Gloria faints when Cricket drops down the doorway to scare her. She kind of sets herself up for it when she comes to the Green house to complain about a disgusting jack o'lantern that he left at the coffee shop and demands to see him.
  • Bob's Burgers:
    • In "Sacred Cow", Bob faints after he witnesses Moolissa's death, resulting in him having a dream about talking to Moolissa on a cloud and kissing him.
    • In "The Kids Run the Restaurant", Bob passes out at the sight of his hand bleeding a bit.
  • Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese: Boy helps an old lady feed the birds by ripping up her bread for her, and she's so impressed she swoons. We then see her being lifted into an ambulance on a stretcher.
  • Captain Flamingo: In "Face the Music", Rutger loses his glasses which is very expensive. The last time he lost it, his parents fainted over the Shockingly Expensive Bill for the glasses.
  • Danger Mouse: DM himself, uncharacteristically, faints dead away at the prospect of confronting the world's largest spider in "The World Wide Spider".
  • Dennis the Menace: In one episode of the '90s cartoon, Dennis wins a Blue Peter art competition, but when "his" winning painting is unveiled live on air, it turns out that the judges picked the abstract series of splodges that Gnasher painted on the other side of the canvas. When Dennis explains this, the campy art critic in charge of the contest is so shocked that a dog took first prize that he faints.
  • Dexter's Laboratory:
    • In "A Duck's Cartoon", Mandark thinks Dexter stole the former's duck and Dexter responds that Mandark's duck isn't in Dexter's laboratory. Then they both faint when they notice Dexter's monkey starting a family with Mandark's duck.
    • in the episode Dexter Detention Miss Wimple who is Dexter's teacher faints when Dexter yells out the answer to the first question in a test out of annoyance when a student bugs him for the answer.
  • DuckTales: Mrs. Beakley has an Oh, Crap! reaction and faints when she holds Big Time and Baby Face Beagle, who are disguised as Dewey and Louie, in front of a mirror, in "Send in the Clones".
  • Exchange Student Zero: Lucinda faints after seeing a large wave plunge down on John.
  • The Fairly OddParents!: Timmy's dad faints from shock quite regularly, often preceded by a high-pitched scream. In one episode he does it three times in the space of about twenty seconds.
  • Family Guy: Before her marriage to Carter Pewterschmidt, Lois Griffin’s mother Barbara was courted by a highly effeminate dandy named Roginald. When she and Carter briefly separated many years later, Roginald reappeared on the scene and came face to face with Carter during a reconciliation attempt. Roginald threatened to fight him over Barbara, but Peter Griffin stepped in and simply uttered the word “penis”, making Roginald faint from the perceived vulgarity.
  • Fanboy and Chum Chum:
    • Chum Chum faints in the episode "Wizboy" when Fanboy does the cut-off finger trick, and again in "Speed Eraser" when he is shocked over what the magic eraser does when literally attached to Fanboy.
    • Lupe faints in "A Very Brrr-y Icemas" after Mr. Mufflin's Man-Arctica costume is shed.
  • Feed the Kitty: When Marc Anthony is witnessing (what looks like) Pussyfoot getting baked into cookies, he passes out several times.
  • Fun and Fancy Free: Edgar faints when he sees Willie the giant lifting the roof off of the house.
  • Futurama: In "A Fishful of Dollars", when Fry learns that a thousand years of compound interest on his bank account has made him a literal billionaire, he's so shocked he starts breathing heavily, then starts foaming at the mouth, then finally passes out.
  • The Ghost and Molly McGee: Andrea faints in "First Day Frights" when Ghastly Ghost Scratch accidentally scares her in the bathroom.
  • Gravity Falls: Lampshaded at the end of the episode "Not What He Seems", when the Author of the journals comes out of the portal in Stan's secret lab, on top of him being Stan's long-lost twin brother.
    Mabel: Is this the part where one of us faints?
    Soos: Oh, I am so on it, dude. [faints]
  • The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy: In "Night of the Living Grim" Billy’s reaction upon seeing Grim as a human, instead of his usual walking skeleton state is to faint.
  • Horrid Henry: Out of the fear of injections, Henry faints from his brother Perfect Peter's explanation about said injections.
  • It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Linus passes out when he sees what he thinks is the Great Pumpkin (actually Snoopy).
  • Jelly Jamm:
    • In "Princess Smile", Rita faints after she sees Bello's failed attempt to fix Princess's mouth.
    • In "Flying Bathtub", Goomo is extremely nervous that the King will find out that Bello and Mina have gone out with the eponymous bathtub and force him to wash his socks. When Bello and Mina come back Just in Time, Goomo faints.
  • Josie and the Pussycats: The episode "The Secret Six Secret" has the villains loose a Bengal tiger in the girls' hotel room, because they know too much. Alan manages to trap the tiger in a Murphy bed. Upon hearing what the girls endured, Alexander faints. When his sister, Alexandra, tries to give Alan a Smooch of Victory, she trips over Alex's inert form.
    Alexandra: The next time you decide to faint, do it by an open window.
  • Kaeloo:
  • King of the Hill: In the episode "Revenge of the Lutefisk", Bobby accidentally starts a fire which destroys the community church. He spends an entire day consumed with shame and remorse, and the next day, upon hearing an official announcement that the police are on the trail of the "arsonist," the sheer terror on top of it all drives him into a faint.
  • Little Princess:
    • In "the Special A Merry Little Christmas" the Chef passes out when the Princess calls the burnt turkey "crispy". When he wakes up, he doesn't get up immediately; he just lies there for awhile.
    • Puss passes out when a statue of Queen's Great-Great-Granny gets it's head knocked off in "I Want to Play Football".
    • Puss passes out after the Princess sneezes on him in "I Don't Want a Cold!" and he thinks he may be catching her cold.
  • The Little Rascals: In the short "The Zero Hero", Alfalfa faints after Darla tells him that the bank robbers are not his disguised friends.
  • Littlest Pet Shop (2012): In "It's the Pet Fest! Part 1", Blythe faints from excitement early in the episode when she finds out she'll be taking care of Heidi, Jason #1's favorite pet. In Act 3, Blythe realizes that she needs to set up the Pet Fest within two weeks. She faints in panic over the short lead-time.
  • The Loud House:
    • In "Fool Me Twice", the Louds (except Lily and Luan) faint in embarrassment when pranked by their stunt doubles.
    • In "Lynn-er Takes All", Lola passes out after Lynn wins a game of "Pretty, Pretty Pageant Queen".
    • Parodied in "A Star Is Scorned", when Lola tells her teddy bear Mr. Sprinkles that Lily is a finalist for a cuteness competition, and Mr. Sprinkles coincidentally flops over. Lola responds with, "I know, it's shocking!".
    • "The Spies Who Loved Me" has Ronnie Anne walking straight towards an open cellar door. Frida faints because she thinks that Ronnie Anne hasn't noticed.
    • In "Ruthless People", Mr. Loud faints upon seeing the termites infesting his house. It takes Lana's smelly shoe to wake him up again.
    • From "The Whole Picture":
      • Lincoln faints when he realizes that he forgot to put film in the camera before taking all the photos.
      • Clyde faints as usual when he sees Lori. Clyde also faints when he sees himself dressed as Lori in a mirror.
    • Howard faints multiple times in the episode "Snow Way Down", first when Lincoln casually asks if they can go on the Ramp of Insanity. Harold remarks that this is why he is doing the driving. He does it again when he finds the note where Clyde says he is going to sled off the Ramp of Insanity, and again at the end when he sees Clyde and Lincoln sledding off of a tall hill.
    • In "House Music", Luna and her father both faint at the end when they find out that the bearded stranger she talked to was really Mick Swagger in disguise.
    • Clyde had a crush on Lori in early seasons, which would occasionally cause him to black out.
    • Lynn Sr. in particular has a habit of passing out when afraid, notably in "Tricked!" when he spends most of the episode unconscious due to his fear of Halloween, and "Not a Loud" where he and the President both black out at the prospect of delivering Lincoln. The First Lady ends up delivering him instead.
    • Howard, one of Clyde's fathers, faints out of worry for the safety of his cats in "Purrfect Gig".
    • "The Loudest Thanksgiving" has Bobby pass out upon seeing his mother covered in (what he thinks is) blood.
  • The Magic Schoolbus: In the episode "Going Batty", seeing Ralphie in a vampire mask horrifies Arnold, causing him to faint.
  • Miraculous Ladybug: Sabrina faints when Fang (a very friendly crocodile) materializes in front of her on the bed she's making in "Pixelator".
  • Milo Murphy's Law: Milo faints thrice in "Lady Krillers" when he hears that Tobias, who is typically the franchise lead of a Show Within a Show, will not be in the next "Krill Hunters" movie.
  • My Little Pony: In "The Runaway Rainbow", Rainbow Dash faints when Rarity says (after skating all around Ponyville and splashing Rainbow Dash with mud) that she wants to do it again.
    Rarity: That was fun! Let's do it again!
    Rainbow Dash: Again?! [faints]
  • My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic:
    • Rarity is well aware of her own tendency to faint at dramatic or emotional moments.
      • Rarity faints twice during the episode "Bridle Gossip". First, when she hears that mysterious zebra Zecora's stripes are not a fashion choice, but something she was born with, and then again when the other ponies list the "horrors" of the Everfree Forest.
      • In "A Dog and Pony Show", Rarity faints when when Sapphire Shores asks her to make five more dresses in addition to the one she just made.
      • Rarity faints when her friends surprise her by showing up in Canterlot in "Sweet and Elite".
      • Rarity faints twice in "A Canterlot Wedding – Part 1", once when she finds out that she is making dresses for a princess' wedding and again when she learns that she'll be making dresses for the wedding of a princess and the captain of the royal guard. Twilight magically produces a pillow for the second one.
      • In "Forever Filly", she mentions she's so excited at the prospect of spending the day with Sweetie Belle that she could faint, and then asks if the CMC have a fainting couch anywhere.
      • Rarity is her usual Drama Queen self in "A Matter of Principals" and faints (into Fluttershy's arms) at the prospect of leaving in the middle of her friendship quilting class.
        Rarity: All of those unfinished seams! [faints]
    • Spike faints when Nightmare Moon makes her grand entrance in the pilot episode "Mare in the Moon".
    • Happens twice in "Applebuck Season":
      • Applejack ends up fainting after believing she's finished her apple-picking all by herself, only to be shown an acre that still needed to be picked. In the latter case, it's likely justified, as Applejack was suffering from severe sleep deprivation in addition to the shock, thus crossing over with the exhaustion faint.
      • Parodied when a Flower Sister faints when faced with a bunny stampede (normal-sized bunnies, mind you, who are rather harmless).
    • In "Princess Twilight Sparkle – Part 1", Spike faints thrice in short succession when learning that: the princesses have vanished, that Twilight is now in charge, and that the Everfree forest is invading Ponyville.
    • Rainbow Dash faints twice in "Trad Ya!", both when the pony with the book she wants refuses to trade it to her. Very justified in the second instance, as Dash has spent most of the episode obtaining the Orthos that the trader originally wanted in trade.
    • One of the Gala guests, next to Lyra, faints when the Smooze, a Blob Monster, is introduced in "Make New Friends but Keep Discord".
    • Pinkie Pie ends up fainting from too much excitement in "The Mane Attraction" when Countess Coloratura makes her big entrance.
    • Fluttershy faints in "No Second Prances" when it looks like Trixie has gotten herself eaten by the manticore.
    • "All Bottled Up": Starlight faints when Trixie makes the map table disappear with a misaimed bit of magic.
    • Nurse Redheart passes out once Twilight gets Flurry Heart to end the mass-levitation of everything and everypony in the room at the climax of "A Flurry of Emotions".
    • "Honest Apple": Photo Finish faints when Applejack makes fun of her disco ball dress at a fashion show.
      Photo Finish: I faint!
    • Fluttershy faints in "2, 4, 6, Greaaat" when Twilight tells her she will coach a Buckball team. Pinkie almost immediately wakes her up by throwing water on her face.
  • Ned's Newt: Ned faints when he finds out that the parents of a baby that he thinks will play at a New Year's pageant actually live in a town other than Friendly Falls.
  • The Octonauts:
    • It's a Running Gag for Tunip to faint almost every time he hears bad news.
    • In "The Emperor Penguins", Tweak passes out after Barnacles informs her that the GUP-S has fallen to the bottom of an ice chasm. She is pretty quick to wake up, though.
      Barnacles: Tweak! I didn't think you'd take it that hard.
  • Oggy and the Cockroaches: In the episode "Docu-Mentally", Oggy discovers Dee Dee removing the tape from his, well, video tape. He falls to the ground and passes out in shock. The cockroaches then proceed to film themselves playing around with Oggy's body and then send it to television. The result? Well, yeah...
  • Oscar's Orchestra: Sylvia's tendency to do this, and Trevor's constant failure to catch her as she falls, is a Running Gag.
  • PAW Patrol: In "Pups Save a Mer-Pup", Chase at the beginning of the episode insisted that mer-pups aren't real. When he sees Skye actually turning into one, he faints.
  • Peppa Pig: Miss Rabbit gets so nervous when meeting The Queen that she faints twice.
  • Phineas and Ferb:
    • In "Thanks but No Thanks", when he finally gets some thanks from Major Monogram Carl lets out a squeal of joy and passes out.
    • Candace faints at the end of the episode "Lights, Candace, Action!" because she is mortified about the video's success on the internet. Phineas, not looking behind him, says, "Goodnight, Candace."
  • The Powerpuff Girls (1998):
    • In "Little Miss Interprets", Professor Utonium gives three (failed) cakes to Roger McDongle. Roger asks if he can eat the cakes and the Professor says yes. Since the Girls have mistaken the Professor's complaining about the cakes for being about them, Bubbles faints upon hearing this.
    • In "Curses" Ms. Keane faints in shock when she hears the girls swear.
    • The museum curator faints in a cop's arms "Monkey See, Doggy Do" after the girls make a huge mess in the museum while trying to look for whoever who stole the Anubial Jewels.
  • Popeye: In "Fowl Play", a Running Gag has Olive doing a melodramatic faint whenever her pet parrot is in danger, with Popeye catching her at the very last second, even when in the midst of fighting Bluto.
  • Ready Jet Go!:
    • Mitchell faints at the very sight of his Love Interest Mindy in "What Goes Up..." when she sneaks up on him a second time.
    • Carrot faints into Celery's arms when Jet mentions him in his song in "My Fair Jet".
    • Moonbeam faints after Sunspot flirtatiously winks at her in "Back to Bortron 7".
    • Jet faints after Zerk informs him that his parents will be assigned to another planet after their presentation in "Back to Bortron 7".
    • Mitchell faints at the very sight of Mindy in "What Goes Up...", after she sneaked up on him a second time.
  • Roger Rabbit Shorts: At the end of "Tummy Trouble", Roger faints at the sight of his hospital bill.
  • Rugrats:
    • In the flashback embeded in "Kwanzaa", we see that Great Aunt T fainted when she realized that she had met up with Martin Luther King Jr.
    • Chas faints twice in "Chuckie Is Rich"; first when he learns that he's won the sweepstakes and again when he learns that he's lost nearly all his money due to a bad investment.
    • "The Bank Trick": When Mrs. Trencherman sees that her jewels are missing from her deposit box,note  she shrieks and passes out.
      Tommy: Hmm. Must be her naptime.
  • Schoolhouse Rock!: In "The Tale of Mr. Morton", the eponymous Mr. Morton faints after he reads a letter from his crush, Pearl.
  • Scooby-Doo:
    • Shaggy and Scooby frequently faint when they're scared (which is often).
    • A Pup Named Scooby-Doo: Parodied In "The Were-Doo of Doo Manor". Scooby and his parents faint every time someone says "Were-Doo" out loud. In-Universe, it's called a "Doo Family Faint".
  • The Simpsons: In "Mypods and Boomsticks" Lisa faints when she realises that her Shockingly Expensive Bill is the result of her excessive downloading and not being mindful enough of the cost of the songs.
    • In "Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment", the anouncement of the prohibition of alcohol is followed by shots of several of Springfield's drunkards (like Homer, the regulars at Moe's bar, and even Mrs. Hibbert) fainted on the floor from reading the news.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM): Upon hearing that Sonic was unable to destroy the Doomsday Project in "The Doomsday Project", Antoine crys out "We are doomed!" and faints.
  • South Park:
    • Stan, in the episode "The Cissy" when his father Randy tells him that he is Lorde and proves to him that he's not making it up.
    • In "It's a Jersey Thing", Ike screams and passes out when he sees Kyle donning the Jersey look.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants:
    • In the episode "Krusty Dogs", Mr. Krabs takes away Krabby Patties from the Krusty Krab menu and puts hot dogs in their place. SpongeBob's reaction is to faint from shock, just as two paramedics immediately arrive and revive him. SpongeBob, however, faints again upon seeing Mr. Krabs take out the kitchen oven.
    • Squidward collapses at the sight of the size of SpongeBob's swollen splinter in "The Splinter".
    • One of the doctors faints at the end of "Code Yellow" upon finding out that SpongeBob (who has been performing surgery) isn't a real doctor.
  • Star vs. the Forces of Evil: Eclipsa faints upon hearing Those Were Only Their Scouts in "The Right Way", although in her defense, she was already exhausted at the time.
  • Star Wars: The Clone Wars: In "Blue Shadow Virus", Jar Jar Binks faints when the last virus bomb is defused, causing Ahsoka, Padmé and Rex to turn and stare.
  • Star Wars Resistance: A dock worker faints at the climax of "Sixty Seconds to Destruction" when the freighter finally comes to a halt just before smashing into the platform.
  • Steven Universe: In "Serious Steven", Steven passes out when he enters the last room of the maze he and Garnet are in once he remembers a traumatic ride on the Teacups with her that endangered everyone due to his own upset stomach.
  • Super Giant Robot Brothers!: In "Gone and Back Again", Shiny faints upon finding out that he's been gone for 10 years.
  • In Super Mario World during the episode Rock TV, in the flashback where Luigi reminds Mario of the trouble they got into with the "Speak to Santa" hotline back in Brooklyn, Mario faints when he reads off the Shockingly Expensive Bill of $1,295.31.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987):
    • Upon encountering the turtles for the first time, April O'Neil mutters "I can't handle this" and sinks to the ground unconscious. She stays out cold throughout the time it takes for them to transport her to their hideout and onto a bed. On waking and sitting up, she then immediately sees ratlike Splinter offering her some tea. At the sight of this, she mechanically utters "I don't believe this" and flops right back onto the bed, gone a second time. Somehow, Donatello was able to wake her up easily this time by simply grabbing her hand, but not the previous time.
    • Irma faints twice in the episode "The Case of the Killer Pizzas". First when a monster hatches from April's pizza, and later when she spots one of the monsters fully grown.
      Vernon: You can't take her anywhere.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003): Just like her 1987 incarnation, April O'Neil faints upon meeting the turtles for the first time, and stays out cold all through them bringing her to the hideout and laying her down on a sofa. After waking up, she tries hard to convince herself that it was All a Dream and that she's still dreaming the conversations that she's having with the turtles at this very moment, leaving the turtles exasperated. On seeing Splinter's human-sized rat appearance, April is too shocked to even be able to continue telling herself that what she's seeing isn't real anymore, and goes limp right there on the sofa. Unlike her 1987 incarnation, this April stays in her second faint for much longer, to the point where Mikey straight-up gives up on trying to wake her up and goes to listen to music instead, telling the others to just notify him when she wakes up. The villain of the episode even manages to carry out an entire bank robbery in the meantime as April lies dead unconscious. When she wakes up from this faint, she's finally a bit more open to accepting that the turtles and Splinter might be real.
  • Teen Titans: Robin faints in the cold open to "Betrothed" when Starfire hits him (and the rest of the Titans) the news that she's getting married to someone she has never met.
  • Tiny Toon Adventures: In the episode ''Whale's Tales'' Elmyra faints when Buster and Babs explain to her what whaling is.
  • Total Drama:
    • Sadie throws her arm over her forehead and swoons when the hunky Justin joins the competition in "Not So Happy Campers - Part 1".
    • In "Aftermath IV: Who Wants to Pick a Millionare?", Chris flirts with the airport agent who makes no effort to hide that she's a fan of his. Once he calls her a "fine-looking lady", there's a moment in which she manages to stay upright, but then she throws her arm over her forehead and swoons.
    • Sugar is shaken to her core that her team voted off the wizard Leonard in "I Love You, Grease Pig!". She dramatically walks forward with her arm held over her forehead and then goes down.
  • Transformers: BotBots: Frostferatu faints every time something mildly shocking happens in the episode "Crime and Bun-ishment".
  • Wakfu:
    • Slo-Mo the referee does this twice in "The Masked Gobbowler"; first when he realizes that Eva and Amalia are actually girls, and again when the Masked Gobbowler reveals her true identity.
    • Elaine stiffens in shock and faints in "Bellaphone Island" upon seeing Eva and Cleo getting the ship down from the peak it was stuck on... by shooting it with arrows and making it fall back in the water.
    • Sadlygrove does this in the second part of the OVA after finding out that he's the current reincarnation of the god Iop.
  • WordGirl: A star-struck TJ faints in "Tobey's Tricks and Treats" when he sees "WordGirl" (actually Violet wearing a WordGirl Halloween costume) at his door.
