Original Characters
Claude
Voiced by: Hiro Shimono (Claude), Minoru Shiraishi (J)
Artist: Shinichiro Otsuka
- Amnesiac Hero
- But Now I Must Go: He leaves the party for a few stages near the end of the game. He does come back three stages till the final boss.
- Butt-Monkey: Claude gets abused by the entire villain side in trailers.
- Cowardly Lion
- Electric Torture
- Lethal Joke Character: Like Jean before him. He may be a coward with low stats and his attacks may look silly, but he's excellent at breaking stats and makes for good support all around. Let him do some healing and with a lot of patience you can get him to level 99. Laugh as enemies can't touch him and his attacks are a One-Hit Kill at that point.
- Literal Split Personality: His bandaged right arm, named J.
- Original Generation
- Power Dyes Your Hair: When J comes out, his hair turns yellow.
- Taking the Bullet: For the chosen heroine in the final battle.
- This Loser Is You: Serves as a stand-in for the player, particularly with free talks.
- The One Guy: For the good guys.
- The Medic
Noel Kazamatsuri
Voiced by: Rina Sato
Artist: Satoshi Urushihara
- Bunny Girl: One of her portraits in her W-Impact attack has this portrait.
- Catchphrase: When performing her tricks, she'll occasionally say tane mo shikake mo gozaimasen~, which can be roughly translated as "No tricks or gadgets up my sleeve~!"
- Colony Drop: The final part of her fourth attack drops a gigantic ball at her opponent.
- Cool Board: Some of her attacks involve her riding a magical hover board.
- Doppleganger Attack: Her final attack starts with her summoning a clone of herself.
- Kick Chick: Her second attack ends with this. People would be reminded of someone who does that.
- Original Generation
- Stage Magician: Calls herself a "magical magician" student.
- The Ditz: Tends to fail at her magic almost as much as Louise.
- Too Kinky to Torture: Having a can thrown at her while she's failing at her fourth attack (which is a magic show) just turns her on. This is one of the many times she shows off this trope, though it's also the most blatant of the bunch.
- Wardrobe Malfunction: Invokes this on both herself and Sonico when she attempts a disappearing act in one of the animated scenes.
Meru Ransheru
Voiced by: Hisako Kanemoto
Artist: Toru Minazuki
- Catchphrase: She'll occasionally say the line, anata no haato ni break desu~, or simply translated as, "I'll give you a heartbreak~!" Could also be an unintentional Call-Back to Jean's heartbreak KO move in Spiral Chaos.
- Combos: And how. Most of her moves have high hit-counts, but she's probably set a record with her fourth attack, which does a whopping SIXTY-EIGHT hits. In comparison, few moves (outside of finishers) in Spiral Chaos or otherwise go above 30 hits, let alone double that. Overall, Meru may be an extreme case, as it's not uncommon for her to get over 200 hits or more ALONE, especially after a W Impact.
- Cute and Psycho: Meru shows shades of these, with her yo-yo techniques being based in assassination, and her odd tendency to giggle uncontrollably at times. In most cases though, it's minor, and can probably be seen as a Foil to Noel's more subdued and kinky behavior.
- Cute Bruiser
- Cuteness Proximity: She could give Rena a run for her money.
- Everything's Better with Rainbows: Her final attack.
- Expy: Possibly from Melty from Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. Also overlaps with Actor Allusion as her voice actress voiced the heroine Amy, who is Melty's friend.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Meru wears mismatching socks.
- Girlish Pigtails
- Idol Singer: Following Maron from Queen's Gate, she also wants to be one. It's the subject of her free talks, and also pops up as one of her illustrations in a W Impact.
- Hollywood Tone-Deaf: Suffers from this in an animated scene where she performs karaoke with Claude, Aria, Rem, Hibiki, and Riko as the audience.
- Improbable Weapon User: She's a magical yo-yo user. Meru can use them to string up enemies and zap them with lightning (Magical Lightning Yo-yo), or materialize marbles (Magical Biidama Attack) or sawblades (Magical Force Cutter) to smack the enemy around. She'll even use them like punches.
- Original Generation
- Shout-Out: In her "goddess of destruction" form one of her attacks resembles the Hell Stringer used by both Agnes Berge and Richard Krueger from Super Robot Wars UX and another like Kenshiro's Hokuto Hyaku Retsu Ken except with yo-yos.
- Useless Accessory: For whatever reason, her attire is outfitted with small wings and a squirrel tail.
- Wings Do Nothing: Averted. Her wings can actually grant her some form of flight, but it acts more like levitation, and for the most part, she still uses her yo-yos to propel herself around.
- Verbal Tic: Desu~
- Wardrobe Malfunction: One of her W Impacts has her in a swimsuit, with the top falling off and using her arms to try and cover up.
- Wingding Eyes: Similar to Cute in Spiral Chaos, although Meru's eyes have sparkles instead of a star shape by default.
Eve Valentine
Voiced by: Kotono Mitsuishi
Artist: Fumie Muroi
- Original Generation
- The Mentor: To both Noel and Meru
Mii Madobe
Voiced by: Yui Itsuki
- Downloadable Content: Similar to Aryutta, Luna, Hyumina, and Aine. She's free as of 2/27, starts at level 5, and has her own set of Free Talks.
- Glacier Waif: In battle, she hits as hard as Hibiki, despite being less than half her size. However, she has low movement and evasion stats.
- Hyperspace Arsenal: Her backpack is specifically designed to carry all her inventions. It also doubles as a jetpack.
- Improbable Age: She looks like a preschooler, but is in fact a Child Prodigy capable of using tools of mass destruction.
- Macross Missile Massacre: Her third attack (in pencil form) and her MAP attack.
- Original Generation
- Shout-Out: Her "Odango All-Range Attack" resembles the Bit attacks used by the Elmeth, the Quebeleys and the Kshatriya.
- In one promotional video, she mentions "dressing up like a cat and delivering pizzas", an allusion to her designer Noritaka Suzuki's breakout work.
K-86X
Voiced by: Kei Mizusawa
- Beam Spam
- Downloadable Content: Free as of 3/13. Like Mii, she comes with a set of Free Talks.
- Emotionless Girl
- Macross Missile Massacre
- Original Generation
- Robo Speak: Invoked. Her dialogue is both robotic in nature and, ignoring kanji, is written completely in katakana. Also, her attack names are written in English.
Rin
Voiced by: Hitomi Nabatame
- Genki Girl
- Gratuitous English: Fond of slipping these in her speech.
- Original Generation
- Ridiculously Human Robot
- Those Two Girls: Runs the item shop.
Dorothy

- Ridiculously Human Robot

- Tears of Blood
- Yin-Yang Bomb
Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel
Haruka Minazuki (Red Angel)
Voiced by: Yukari Tamura
Aoi Kannazuki (Blue Angel)
Voiced by: Mamiko Noto
Kurumi Hazuki (White Angel)
Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya
Tesla Violet (Twin Phantom)
Voiced by: Yui Horie
- Meaningful Name: Uses electric-based attacks.
- Shock and Awe
Nine Violet (Twin Phantom)
Voiced by: Ryōka Yuzuki
Kyousogiga
Di Gi Charat
Dejiko (Di Gi Charat)
Voiced by: Asami Sanada
Puchiko (Petit Charat)
Voiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro
Usada Hikaru (Rabi~en~Rose)
Voiced by: Kyoko Hikami
- Do Not Call Me Usada: Prefers to be called Rabi~en~Rose.
- Vocal Evolution: Possibly due to the time gap between her last time she voiced Usada officially and this game, Kyoko Hikami's voice in this game sounds a bit deeper than before.
Swan Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear
Hibiki Tachibana
Voiced by: Aoi Yūki
- Chick Magnet: When you can get the Infinite Stratos girls and Aria warning the girls not to kiss her lest they become pregnant, you are this.
- Cutscene Incompetence: Some stages will force Hibiki to eject out of the battle despite the fact that she could probably kick their asses in gameplay.
- Good Old Fisticuffs
- Lightning Bruiser: She's going to be one of your strongest front-liners in the game. Even without any buffs, she can take down a lot of bosses late-game as long as players hit enemies tactically and use Geo Effects to full effect.
Tsubasa Kazanari
Voiced by: Nana Mizuki
- Crutch Character: At the start of the game, she's already at level 4 where the rest of your party members are still at level 1. Then just before the end of the first route split, she leaves your party members and doesn't come back till 10 stages later. By that point however, she's already outclassed by your other party members who have a lot of stat growths from leveling up and being the MVP of some of the chapters. Still good though to take in-game.
- I Like Swords: Lots of swords.
- You Shall Not Pass!: To Laura in Noel's route.
Chris Yukine
Voiced by: Ayahi Takagaki
- Gratuitous English: Mega Deth Party.
- More Dakka
- There's No Kill like Overkill: One of Chris' attacks is Megadeth Quartet
- Verbal Tic: Very fond of using the word "zenbu" (everything).
Super Sonico
Super Sonico
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Sonico's first attack has a magic stick dropping out of nowhere and her shaking the stick turns her into a giant.
- Captain Ersatz: She's Super Heroine Chronicle's answer to Nekki Basara and Fire Bomber in general in Super Robot Wars.
- Lethal Joke Character: Her attacks are just downright silly looking, but she is one of the best support characters in the game.
- Musical Assassin: Her final attack is just her playing the guitar. Powerful enough to send an opponent to the sky.
- Mysterious Protector: Those not familiar with Sonico will probably wonder who that oni-masked figure is. It's her manager.
- Status Buff: At high levels, she can pull off area of effect buffs that either heal allies, heal their three stats, increase their attack or defense up to 30%.
- The Ditz
- The Medic
- Words Can Break My Bones: Her second attack has the Nico Nico Douga website's words on a video attack the enemy.
Higurashi: When They Cry
Rena Ryuuguu
Voiced by: Mai Nakahara
- Finger Poke of Doom: Her final attack, after breaking her toy hammer.
- Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs
Mion & Shion Sonozaki
Voiced by: Satsuki Yukino
Rika Furude & Satoko Houjou
Voiced by: Yukari Tamura (Rika), Mika Kanai (Satoko)
- A Bloody Mess: Rika in their last attack. It's just a distraction. And ketchup.
- Trap Master: Satoko as usual, though it's subverted in their second attack when Rika, Satoko, AND the enemy all get caught in her trap.
Aria the Scarlet Ammo
Aria H. Kanzaki
Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya
- Dual Wielding: Both guns and swords.
- "Groundhog Day" Loop: Experiences this and is the only one who remembers about the events of Higurashi: When They Cry in Lingyin's route.
Shirayuki Hotogi
Voiced by: Mikako Takahashi
Riko Mine
Voiced by: Mariya Ise
Jeanne d'Arc
Voiced by: Ayako Kawasumi
- An Ice Person
- Terrible Artist: Her third attack consists of her making an ice sculpture using her opponent. Hilariously enough, the sculpture matches the drawing till it shatters.
Reki
Voiced by: Kaori Ishihara
- Improbable Aiming Skills: Some of her attacks involve deflecting bullets with debris to get a shot in around cover, or get multiple hits in.
- Overrated and Underleveled: She joins you at level 8 when your party members are more than likely in their 30s to 40s.
- Magikarp Power: Fortunately, there are the Free Stages that players can play around with. Get her a few levels and her MAP attack is one of the best in-game despite only targeting one enemy.
Infinite Stratos
Houki Shinonono
Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa
- Lightning Bruiser: A self buff that increases attack, accuracy, and evasion by 25%, can reload her and her allies shield energy, and can tank in the front lines.
- Mid-Season Upgrade: From a Training IS to the Aka Tsubaki.
- Perpetual Frowner: Houki's expressions seem to be her being grumpy, or just being mad about something.
Cecilia Alcott
Voiced by: Yukana
- Status Effects: Her second attack has a chance of inflicting poison to enemies.
Lingyin Huang
Voiced by: Asami Shimoda
- Nitro Boost: Well, not exactly, but her first skill gives her +3 to movement.
Charles Dunois
Voiced by: Kana Hanazawa
Laura Bodewig
Voiced by: Marina Inoue
- Awesome, but Impractical: Her AIC buff makes all attacks done to her reduced by 80%. Sadly, It Only Works Once and it severely drains her Shield Energy which is needed to operate her suit.
- The Cameo: Clarissa Harfouch and the Schwarzer Hase (Black Hares) squadron make an appearance if players execute Laura's fourth attack.
- Heel–Face Turn: She's the first boss of the game and she's also the first to join the cast out of the villain squad.
The Familiar of Zero
Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière, Lemon-chan
Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya
- Cherry Tapping: Her third attack ends with the opponent at Louise's feet, who had to fire a lot of Explosions and all but one miss. She then drops her stick and opponents take damage.
- Epic Fail: Aside from above, two of her attacks has her failing on whatever she wants to cast.
Siesta
Voiced by: Yui Horie
- Covert Pervert: Her last attack involves her reading a naughty book.
Tiffania Westwood
Voiced by: Mamiko Noto
- Wardrobe Malfunction: One of her attacks has an enemy land on her boobs before toppling her over. As Tiffania tries to get off, her clothes straps unravel.
Dream Hunter Rem
Rem Ayanokouji
Voiced by: Naoko Matsui
- Chainmail Bikini: In her warrior form.
- Super Mode: Her warrior form. Her skill set becomes a lot more useful with a buff that can boost her attack power by 50% for one whole turn.
Professor Shinigami
Voiced by: Ichirō Nagai
- Sinister Scythe
- The One Guy: For the villains.
