A list of characters appearing in both Five Nights at Treasure Island and Oblitus Casa.

Main Enemies

    Photo-Negative Mickey

Photo-Negative Mickey

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/832b172f_ed7b_406d_8e2b_e0f0efb2b05c.png
Wanna see my head come off?
A photo-negative toon, who looks like good old Mickey Mouse. He acts as your first threat in Treasure Island, and is based off the photo-negative Mickey costume seen in Abandoned by Disney. He returns in Oblitus Casa as a Custom Night character.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Every villain can count, but Photo-Negative Mickey is a particular case as he's pretty much the exact opposite of the actual Mickey Mouse in every aspect.
  • Big Bad: He's treated like this, being the first enemy you encounter.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: He may be the most prominent enemy in Treasure Island, but he's only a sadistic follower playing the role of MOTHER's Sycophantic Servant.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Wanna see my head come off?"
  • The Dragon: To the real Big Bad, MOTHER. Out of all of the characters, the most loyal to the overall main antagonist is usually Photo-Negative Mickey.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: In Treasure Island's older versions, he had a deep, masculine voice. This is even more pronounced in the final version, where his voice is pitched so far down that it sounds demonic. This is relaxed a bit in Oblitus Casa, where his voice is more distorted than pitched down, but it is still very deep.
  • Jerkass: While every toon can count as a jerkass, Photo-Negative Mickey is the only one to pursue Jake on the first night, every night, and is even willing to kill him when the power runs out, making him stand out as the biggest and most obvious one. And unlike Willie in the second game, who does the same thing, Photo-Negative Mickey clearly savors the hunt.
  • Madness Mantra; He's never heard saying something other than "Hey!" and "Wanna see my head come off?"
  • Meaningful Name: He's a version of Mickey Mouse with inverted colors.
  • Mascot: Being a version of Mickey Mouse he's of course this. He's also the most well known game character and the face of the game.
  • The Misophonic: Shares this with Oswald, Impurity, and Disembodied. They have no eyes, so their hearing is very sharp, making the loud noise a camera makes when it turns off the perfect weapon to scare them away with.
  • Perpetual Smiler: He’s always doing this, with absolutely no variation in his expression, even as he’s killing you.
  • Psycho for Hire: Not that MOTHER is that much saner than him. He's attacking Jake under the orders of the real Big Bad, but it's clear that, out of all of the toons, he actually takes pleasure in hunting people down and taunting them while doing so.
  • Unholy Matrimony: Once Impurity starts appearing, he tends to show up together with her.
  • You Don't Look Like You: His current model used for Oblitus Casa has many noticeable differences from his model in Treasure Island, with reduced melting, brighter colors, a tail, visible dents and yellow-ish stains that make him look dirty.

    Oswald

Oswald

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1dad490f_2c9a_4c38_802f_b1f4cd542636.png
Bless your soul.
A dark-colored toon representing the very first Disney character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. He likes to hide in the dark. He returns in Oblitus Casa as part of the Custom Night.
  • Aerith and Bob: He is notably the only character in the main nights of Treasure Island to not have an original name other than Photo-Negative Mickey, simply being named after the character he is based on.
  • Ambiguously Christian: Like his previous iterations, Oswald constantly refers to "God" for salvation during his attacks, in one way or another. Whether it's the God in religion or something more metaphorical (like MOTHER, his leader) remains unknown.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: In older versions of Treasure Island, Oswald had a dark coloration to his face, instead of the white the original character had. In-universe, it was because the Oswald costume was incomplete. In reality, his textures were messed up and the white on his face was accidentally on the back of his head.
  • Elite Mook: Basically functions as a harder version of Photo-Negative Mickey and Impurity.
  • Expy: He is one to Freddy Fazbear from the first Five Nights at Freddy's game. His behavior is similar to Photo-Negative Mickey and Impurity, but sneakier; while the two make themselves known clearly in the cameras and when they arrive at the Office, Oswald likes to hide, so you have to be sharp to identify him.
  • Hair-Raising Hare: He's a toon shaped like an anthropomorphic rabbit, and is out for your blood like all the others.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • His current model has slight discolorations on his face, as a reference to his original design where his face was the wrong color due to a texture error.
    • In relation to the actual character of Oswald, his tendency to ask why he was abandoned and wonder where "God" went is most certainly a nod to Oswald's history, as his rights were forcefully taken from Walt Disney and he was condemned to obscurity for decades before the modern Disney company bought him back.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Like Photo-Negative Mickey, he's always smiling no matter what.
  • Token Religious Teammate: Oswald is the only one to ever explicitly refer to a god while attacking the player during the main nights, which has been a tradition since the first version.

    Disembodied

Disembodied

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/09a2799c_c3a8_4b68_80ce_ffb7d14a283a.png
The melted head of Donald Duck, who has sprouted tentacles and really likes to yell at you. As in, he'll get in your face and get really, really loud.
  • The Disembodied: As his name suggests.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: In older versions, Disembodied was quite literally just Donald’s head with black eyes and no hat. The hat, tentacles and melted appearance weren’t introduced until the final version.
  • Expy: To Balloon Boy from Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Both are non-lethal enemies who are warded off like most other characters, but when they appear they make a very annoying noise and make it easier for others to attack you. Unlike BB, however, Disembodied's noise isn't permanent as he can be scared off while he's quacking at you.
  • Foul Waterfowl: Donald was never a saint, but Disembodied makes him look like one by comparison, as he attracts his fellow toons for them to kill you.
  • Hell Is That Noise: Makes an extremely loud electric quaking noise which will attract other characters to the Office unless he is shooed away.
  • Mythology Gag: He is one of the few toons whose speech is unintelligible, which seems to be a jab at the real Donald Duck whose speech is notorious for being nigh-unintelligible without subtitles.
  • Noisy Duck: Is a duck who quacks extremely loudly when he spawns in your office, speeding up the toons' pursuit of the player. This role is shared with Daisy, who replaces him as his Distaff Counterpart in Oblitus Casa.
  • Support Party Member: Unable to kill you directly, Disembodied instead makes it easier for others to do so.

    Acephalous

Acephalous

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/469056c3_a12a_4a41_97e9_0ca2e9de77f6.png
A headless body resembling Goofy’s. Due to having no eyes or ears, he cannot hear you, but he can feel you through vibrations. It’s best to stand still.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In older versions, he could be warded off with a camera like everyone else, despite the fact that he had no head to hear the sound with.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: "I thought you cared."
  • Losing Your Head: His head is missing, an inverse of Disembodied. Distracting him requires you to stand still, because he does not have ears and relies on vibrations to track you.
  • Meaningful Name: "Acephalous" is a fancy way to say "headless".
  • Super-Senses: Due to lacking a head to see or hear with, Acephalous uses vibrations to detect people. This is why you have to stay completely still when he's around, as it's the only way he can "see" you.
  • Playing Possum: Your method to fend him off.

    Impurity

Impurity

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/8b84d8d2_80a6_45f9_9943_ade6d4ca708e.png
A horribly deformed version of Minnie, with small, yet sharp teeth, who questions her own existence constantly. Originally known as Impure Mouse prior to the final version.
  • Adaptational Ugliness: Compared to the previous versions of Impurity in 3.0 and 4.0, the version in 6.0 has a much creepier design, having bigger eyes, a wider smile, and much more detailed teeth.
  • Giggling Villain: She laughs sinisterly in two of her voice clips.
  • Hanging Around: Can be seen hanging before walking through the building. Bonus point for her saying she likes to hang around.
  • Identity Breakdown: "Why do I exist?"/"This isn't how we're supposed to be."
  • Lady Macbeth: It's highly likely she remains devout to Mickey like her original self In-Universe, being a distorted copy of the real Minnie toon, and she is very much evil for Photo-Negative Mickey's sake in the first game.
  • Nothing Nice About Sugar and Spice: Her design is based on the classic Minnie, and even though she's villainous, she possesses false charms by acting feminine. In reality, she's really just an evil force out to kill you, and whatever she says to you that seems human is only a trick.
  • Playing the Victim Card: Like the other toons, she says phrases of self-loathing to lure you into a false sense of security. Unlike the other toons, this reaches existential levels, as Impurity wants the player to sympathize with her identity crisis. It doesn't mean she won't still kill you regardless, because she will.
  • Scary Teeth: One of her most prominent features is her teeth, which are very small, and very noticeable on her very narrow jaw.
  • The Smurfette Principle: She is the only female character who actively hunts the player.
  • Unholy Matrimony: Once she starts appearing, she tends to show up together with Photo-Negative Mickey.

    The Face

The Face

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/01a668d5_7d2f_444b_923b_9cbc363b05e4.png
Click here to The Face's Inkblot form

A legless version of Mickey Mouse, with small eyes and a massive head. He's… different from the others. He's the only enemy from the first game to appear in the main nights of Oblitus Casa, where he's been horribly corrupted.

  • An Arm and a Leg: He has no legs, forcing him to crawl around. Doesn't make him any less deadly.
  • Death Seeker: One of his lines is begging someone who tried to kill him before to Mercy Kill him and end his own suffering.
"You had the chance to finish me."
  • Evil Cripple: He is a murderous Mickey Mouse toon who only has stubs for legs, forcing him to crawl around.
  • Expy: Was initially one of Golden Freddy, as a different-colored (normal-colored in his case) version of the titular antagonist who would rarely appear in front of you and require you to lift the camera monitor again.
  • Facial Horror: While he was not easy on the eye on Treasure Island, in Oblitus Casa he's even more hideous thanks to his inky body decaying following the Time Skip, with the skin of his face melting to reveal a human skull, as well as now having rows of teeth that he lacked in the previous game. He doesn't look any better in his Inkblot form.
  • Hellish Pupils: Unlike most of the other characters, he has realistic human eyes. As a result, fending him off requires you to turn the lights off.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: An inversion. The Face is a dissent from the other toons in the game due to being the one MOTHER can't control, but he's seemingly more villainous than they are as he goes straight into killing you instead of taking everything as a joke like the rest of the cast.
  • Not in This for Your Revolution: His implied reason for not merging with Hourglass like the other toons.
  • Perpetual Smiler: His face is stuck in a permanent sinister smile.
  • Weakened by the Light: In the Pirate Caverns sections of Treasure Island, he is shooed away by flashing your camera at him, while in Oblitus Casa, he is dealt with by holding a lighter in his face.
  • Who Needs Their Whole Body?: He lacks his legs on all of his appearances, but that doesn't make him any less of a threat as the other toons.
  • Wild Card: MOTHER sees him as this, because he's the only one she can't control. While he wants Jake dead just like everyone else, he doesn't take part in the fusion into Hourglass, which explains why he's still around by the events of Oblitus Casa. He’s also the only toon to appear on Night 5 besides MOTHER/MickMick.

    Undying

Undying

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/199bb87f_9d9d_4683_beb4_1f7383376073.png
An eyeless mascot costume of Mickey Mouse, who groans with every step and wanders the Pirate Caverns. One has to wonder just what's inside...
  • Adaptational Nonsapience: Undying could speak in the previous versions of the game. Now he can only mutter and groan incoherently and is unable to communicate.
  • Affably Evil: "Affable" isn't quite the word, since he's acting that way during his moment of murderous psyche, and he can't speak, but Undying seems more human in his pursuit of Jake than the main toons do in that he tries to maintain somewhat of a professional demeanor as he does so, and is also willing to make his presence clear at all times even when actively stalking him.
  • Artificial Zombie: It's heavily implied that his suit contains the remains of Henry Miller.
  • Composite Character: Undying was a separate undead being in earlier versions of the game from the form Henry took when he died, a yellow humanoid missing a head and an arm. In the final version, Henry becomes Undying.
  • Creepy Mascot Suit: A rather blatant case of this, he's a disheveled, bloodstained, eyeless 1970s Mickey Mouse mascot suit that moans constantly and kills people indiscriminately.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: The last enemy to appear on the main nights. Surely, he must be the last, since there's no one else available. Wrong. The toons up to Night 3 all merge into a Fusion Dance called "Hourglass", who is the real Final Boss.
  • Expy: Of Springtrap, as a version of a main character who has a dead body stuffed within.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: The original Undying was just a red humanoid, far from the eyeless Mickey costume he is today.
  • Giggling Villain: In lieu of talking, he makes a moaning sound that verges on giggling.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: In the cutscene at the end of the first Pirate Caverns segment, Undying is seen in a hallucination with glowing white eyes.
  • He Who Must Not Be Heard: Unlike the other enemies in the first game (not including Disembodied who can't speak anyway), he is the only one to speak in incoherent gibberish rather than clear voice lines.
  • Immortality Hurts: He's a groaning, moaning supernatural homicidal being called "Undying", one can assume that he is unable to die and it causes him pain.
  • Playing Possum: Like Acephalous, your defense against him is to stand still until he goes away.
  • Perpetual Smiler: His mascot costume is obviously unchanging, resulting in a constant smile that almost makes him look sinister.
  • Room Full of Crazy: When the player unlocks the room at the back of Floor 2 of Pirate Caverns, they are met with a room of scratchy drawings of Mickey Mouse (and MOTHER), as well as various warnings that the toons are lying to everyone, presumably created by Undying as his mug flashes in front of the player upon entering this room.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: He leaves Pirate Caverns following Night 4 (using the elevator somehow), and after attacking Jake, leaves the island entirely, for reasons unknown. It's eventually revealed that he's actually Henry Miller and he escaped Undying to help Jake out in Oblitus Casa.
  • Smarter Than You Look: The way he behaves gives one the impression he's an idiotic, mindless killer zombie simply passively waiting for his prey to come for him while trapped in Pirate Caverns. However, he ends up reaching the surface of Treasure Island in Night 5... and the only way he can do that is by using the elevator, which he shouldn't be able to use from the start because he's completely blind.
  • The Team Normal: He is the only enemy from the main nights to be a costume instead of a toon.
  • The Unintelligible: All he does is make unintelligible groans of pain.
  • Up Close with the Monster: Often gets up in Jake's face while stalking him on Floor 2 of Pirate Caverns.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Despite his voice being muffled by his costume, he possesses the same guttural screeching upon death as the rest of the cast.

    Willie

Willie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/54627336_8d4e_4f08_a527_10d14dec4ed4.png
Where's my boat?
Another version of Mickey, this one being based on Mickey’s first appearance in Steamboat Willie. He is the first enemy you meet in Oblitus Casa.
  • Amusing Injuries: A promotional render shows him smashing Dippy's head with a mallet for some reason.
  • Captain Obvious: He can sometimes remind us that he has a hat on his head.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: He is completely black-and-white, like the source material he is based on.
  • Fooled by the Sound: He can be lured away by playing a music using the cameras.
  • Mascot: He can be considered one to Oblitus Casa, as he was the first character revealed, is the first foe and appears in a lot of the game’s artwork.
  • Mythology Gag: He is based on the character of Willy, a former replacement for PNM in Treasure Island who was dropped and demoted to a bonus character in the final game. He shares several of his quotes with Willy.
  • Perpetual Smiler: A prime example, with a wide grin that never falters.

    Belial

Belial

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ed9a0e7e_bbe2_4288_ac1c_df4af5b440ea.png
A newly formed toon, based off Oswald's lover Ortensia/Sadie. She's basically an infant, and she definitely shows it as she cries loudly when she's formed.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Quite literally. She manifests in real-time if the player fails to erase her drawing, essentially making her the youngest of the toons that attack.
  • Blob Monster: Looks like one due to being newly formed and noticeably unfinished.
  • Hell Is That Noise: When she forms, she unleashes a very loud, echoing crying noise that attracts every toon in the building.
  • Meaningful Name: Belial is a name used by Hebrews and Christians to describe the Devil, and she is most certainly quite demonic with her cry.
  • Mythology Gag: She's based off Ortensia/Sadie, who was a character in the 4.0. version of the game that never even saw a demo.

    Daisy

Daisy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/57d9f46e_e317_4217_a8c3_687e8c5ebcc8.png
The head of Daisy Duck, with spider-like appendages much like Disembodied. She loves to nag at you. As in, she'll get into your office, make a loud quacking noise, and temporarily shut off a camera.
  • Distaff Counterpart: Of Disembodied.
  • Hell Is That Noise: Like Disembodied, she makes a very loud quacking noise when in the office.
  • Mythology Gag: Daisy has been part of Treasure Island since 2.0., though she never made an appearance afterwards. That is, until Oblitus Casa, where she’s received a completely new design that reflects Disembodied’s new design.
  • Perpetual Smiler: She does even as she quacks at you.
  • Support Party Member: When she appears on a camera, you have to fend her off with a flash. In a previous version, she would temporarily break a camera, and you could ignore her by switching to a different camera. As of 2.0, flashing her is a mandatory action if you don't want to be left unable to use the cameras for a short time, which in some cases leads to certain death.

    Photo-Negative Minnie

Photo-Negative Minnie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2bf372e8_99b6_48c7_aa61_5e7e9bad8a0f.png
A photo-negative toon resembling Minnie. She was an enemy in the early versions of Treasure Island before being replaced by Impurity, and has returned for Oblitus Casa.
  • Appearance Angst: Like with Impurity's Identity Breakdown, Photo-Negative Minnie also seems to have issues with her appearance, with one of her lines asking if she's ugly.
  • Decomposite Character: The original version of Photo-Negative Minnie has effectively had her design split in half. Impurity kept the physical appearance of the character, with the emphasis on her height, her teeth and her empty eyes, but the new Photo-Negative Minnie kept the color scheme while adding aspects such as eyes. Both can be seen hanging before moving closer to the office.
  • Don't Look At Me: One of her lines is "Stop Looking at Me".
  • Hellish Pupils: Like The Face, she is one of the few toons with eyes, being small, realistic and unblinking.
  • Mythology Gag: She’s been a character in almost every version of Treasure Island until the final, when she was replaced by Impurity. Now, she’s back in Oblitus Casa.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Like her male counterpart, Photo-Negative Minnie never stops smiling, though it isn’t as wide as Mickey.
  • Weakened by the Light: Due to being one of the few toons with eyes, she is deterred by flashing the camera lights at her.

    Pete

Pete

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/58ee326c_537b_4d73_9954_4bcbd6338634.png
Mickey’s old rival makes an appearance as a toon, hiding up in the attic. If he's up there, make sure not to disturb him…
  • Cats Are Mean: He's a toon entity shaped like an anthropomorphic cat, and he immediately kills you if you flash your lighter on him while he's in the attic.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: As he's based off Pete's steamboat days, he is completely black-and-white.
  • Fat Bastard: Just like the real Pete, he's rotund and hostile.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Not to the same degree as his counterpart in Treasure Island, but his mechanic involves leaving him alone in the darkness, and he is only clearly seen during his jumpscare.
  • Just Ignore It: He can easily be avoided by not entering the attic and by not using the lighter there.
  • Silent Antagonist: Doesn't speak a single word nor make a vocal sound, unlike the other enemies in the game (except when he jumpscares you).

    Dippy

Dippy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a0f8c913_1b99_4fd1_8bde_d66c63dc31ec.png
A toon resembling Goofy's early days as Dippy Dawg, but with two rows of sharp teeth. Remember to watch your window when he's around.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: Naturally, as he's based off the original appearance of Goofy.
  • Enter Stage Window: His method of entering the office and attacking you.
  • Fooled by the Sound: Like Willie, he can be lured away by a melody playing in an adjacent room.
  • Original Generation: Whereas all of the other characters are from or are based on characters from older versions of Treasure Island, Dippy is completely original and was made for Oblitus Casa.
  • There Was a Door: He can be lured into one of the rooms leading to your office, but he'll still go all the way to the outer window.
  • You Are Already Dead: If you hear the glass shatter, you know what to expect.

    The Shades

The Shades

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b932ddc6_683d_4a9d_9ec9_bb8caeefeb4b.jpeg
A ghostly set of foes from Post-Mortem, resembling old friends from Treasure Island. Specifically, Photo-Negative Mickey, Oswald, Minnie, Goofy, Sadie, and Donald.
  • Group-Identifying Feature: All of them lack legs and are extremely withered.
  • Mythology Gag: All of them have this in various ways. Their voices are all edited versions of their respective character’s lines in older versions of Treasure Island. In addition, while Photo-Negative Mickey resembles his current design, Goofy heavily resembles the version of him from 4.0., where he had a head and yellow vest, Minnie has a hook in her back which was taken from one of Impurity’s beta designs, Oswald’s coloration is based on the original version of him from 1.0., Donald lacks a cap like older versions of Disembodied, and Sadie is a character from the 4.0. version of the game who never got to appear in the final version.
  • Perpetual Smiler: All of them have one.
  • Significant Name Overlap: They share their collective name with the white eyes in the darkness from Treasure Island, which may point to a connection between the two.
  • Support Party Member: Two of the Shades can’t kill you.
    • Shade Goofy will take the doll if he is not warded off by the lights.
    • Shade Donald temporarily disables both your cameras and the doll if you accidentally click on a fake Mickey Head.
  • Time-Limit Boss: Shade Sadie is essentially this. She moves very slowly, but there's no way to stop or delay her; if she arrives in the Office, you're dead. Misusing the doll will make her reach you faster.

Spoiler Characters (WARNING: SPOILERS ARE UNMARKED)

    Hourglass

Hourglass

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2d67f07b_19bf_47f5_96e1_3f270a87b7ab.png
An amalgamate of all the toons (except The Face and Undying). They are the main antagonist of Treasure Island’s Night 6 and return for Oblitus Casa's post-night sections.
  • Adaptational Abomination: Every toon can count, but Hourglass is a particular case. Initially, it was a green humanoid that walked on all fours upside-down, and had a Mickey face, with a simplistic design and being its own entity. In the final version, it becomes a distorted amalgamation of the toons up to Night 3 and is a big, black, inky mess with teeth that's wearing a Mickey Mouse mask.
  • Asshole Victim: This thing and its occupants had been trying to kill Jake non-stop throughout FNaTI and years later in Oblitus Casa when Jake visits the tunnels under the cabin. If anything, Jake killing it in return is more of an In-Universe Catharsis for him... until MOTHER fights back, anyway.
  • The Berserker: Unlike the toons that comprise it, Hourglass is blindly predatorial and purely focused on killing, with none of the sympathetic traits backing up said toons, naturally making it a force to be reckoned with.
  • Expy: Of Ennard, as an amalgamation of (most of) the previous enemies who is only encountered during the final night.
  • Final Boss: The final enemy to be faced.
  • Final-Exam Boss: He has all of the characters' abilities, using them alternately.
  • Fusion Dance: He is the amalgamation of all of the cartoon characters with the exception of the Face and Undying and takes over their roles in hunting you in Night 6.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: After MOTHER merges Photo-Negative Mickey, Oswald, Disembodied, Impurity, and Acephalous into Hourglass, it becomes the overarching antagonist of the series due to being MOTHER's motive to be more direct as an antagonist, and its death is why she tries to kill Jake in her MickMick form in Night 5 of Oblitus Casa.
  • Kill It with Fire: Their ultimate fate in Oblitus Casa. Jake finds them to still be roaming after a year, so he takes it to himself to lure them into a trap to incinerate them.
  • Killed Off for Real: Jake traps Hourglass in a room filled with gas barrels before pulling out a lighter and setting the room on fire. Stuck and with the door shut, Hourglass effectively burns alive in that storage room.
  • Sound-Only Death: The painful wails indicating its death are only heard behind the door once Jake sets it on fire. Averted in 2.0 where Hourglass' incineration is actually visible.
  • You Don't Look Like You: In Oblitus Casa, Hourglass has a completely revamped design. Among notable details are a rabbit ear, Disembodied-like tentacles, a few stray limbs and a brand new mask resembling the Gascots from Room Zero.

    MOTHER

MOTHER / MickMick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2e08eb9b_a952_401a_afc1_7ab67f7276eb.png
He’s here, my children.
Click here to see MickMick's first form.
Click here to see MickMick's second form.
A mysterious Mickey Mouse silhouette, and involved in something much bigger than you. She’s the main villain of the Treasure Island series.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: In the previous versions of the game, GOD/UO rarely communicates with the player, consequently lacking a motive for her actions as the Big Bad. In the final version, MOTHER is made into a Knight Templar Parent who is very much capable of speech, and actively possesses a deep hatred for those who oppose her.
  • Adaptational Karma: In previous versions of Treasure Island, GOD/UO gets away with her misdeeds as the one leading the attacks since the previous versions feature an Ambiguous Ending, and certainly don't feature a sequel. When the first game was finished and a full version of Oblius Casa followed, however, MOTHER (replacing GOD/UO) finally dies unambiguously in the sequel.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Henry. And for a very apt reason.
  • Asshole Victim: She deserves no sympathy when she ends up being incinerated in the finale of Oblitus Casa as the Big Bad who has brought misery unto Jake during both the first and second game.
  • Big Bad: While she's the Greater-Scope Villain of the first game, she's the main antagonist of Oblitus Casa by serving as an active threat than staying in the background.
  • By the Lights of Their Eyes: In the cutscene after Night 2, she is only identified by the whites of her eyes materializing beyond the locked gate of the Pirate Caverns.
  • Composite Character: She is already a reimagining of GOD/UO from early versions of Treasure Island. However, her toon form is that of MickMick, another proposed Photo-Negative Mickey replacement from 4.0. who, unlike Willy, never got a chance to return until now as part of MOTHER.
  • Cruel Mercy: As the leader of the toons, she should be expected to be a very powerful entity who can do a One-Hit Kill. Instead, she lets her mook toons do the work for her while she observes in the shadows. That is, until Jake kills Hourglass, at which point she finally steps up as MickMick.
  • Death Cry Echo: She can be heard with high-pitched wailing underneath the Black Speech at the end of Night 5, as to indicate her screaming in pain as the fire consumes her.
  • Dystopia Justifies the Means: A miniature version of a dystopia in the form of Discovery Island. MOTHER converts the place so it can work for the supernatural toons she orders around, unwilling to let any outsiders investigate.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: She hates Jake for his heroism and definitely hates any innocent people who try to infiltrate Discovery Island, using that as her reason to kill.
  • Evil Virtues: Determination. Most notably, her fusing the toons in the first game when they're too weak to kill Jake individually. Even years later long after she fused her first children into Hourglass and Jake returns to Discovery Island to battle her after she personally kills Jake's colleagues, she is still insistent on killing him, and refuses to let up. Even losing her most valued mooks doesn't stop her, as she decides to personally confront Jake herself after he kills off Hourglass.
  • Expy: Seems to be one for Shadow Freddy from Five Nights at Freddy's 2, being a dark, shadowy version of the main mascot antagonist (in this case, Photo-Negative Mickey/Mickey Mouse) with white eyes. Considering she's also hostile in Oblitus Casa, she may also be one for Nightmare from Five Nights at Freddy's 4, whom is not only theorized to be the same entity as Shadow Freddy, but like MOTHER with the toons, may be behind the Nightmare animatronics and in control of them. Her inky black tentacles may even bring to mind Nightmarionne from the same game, or even Slenderman.
  • Faux Affably Evil: She always speaks with a polite tone, even when threatening the player and personally confronting them on Night 5 of Oblitus Casa.
  • A God Am I: She boasts about this once you anger her by killing Hourglass, claiming as well that she's "the grass you step on, the air you breathe", she's also has Reality Warper powers, if Henry and she are to be believed.
  • God Is Evil: She is a supernatural being who apparently has other supernatural beings under her control, while also being a horrendously vile and power-hungry being who wants nothing more than to kill and manipulate people for her own amusement.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Everything seems to imply she's this.
  • Hate Sink: MOTHER is depicted as a psychopathic, remorseless killer with no comedic moments or redeeming qualities whatsoever, who is also a delusional and temperamental Control Freak who is unable to take responsibility for her own misdeeds, all so the player can root against her and yearn to eventually kill her off come the Grand Finale. She's also made to look worse than her subordinates by comparison, despite them being just as murderous, as unlike them, MOTHER obviously has a conscience regarding what she's doing. Unlike the Big Bad of the original franchise, William Afton, she gets no moments that depict her as having even an inch of understanding of other human beings (as William himself is at least a human being unlike MOTHER who is a ghostly supernatural form), being cruel and tyrannical over Discovery Island to the bitter end and killing anyone who opposes her for the pettiest of reasons.
  • The Heavy: All of the conflicts in the series can be linked back to MOTHER and her inability to be anything but a selfish Control Freak, as she is the one controlling the mascots that pursue Jake, is the one who commits the off-screen murders of Jake's fellow SSA agents, and is also Retconned into being responsible for the multiple versions of the game that were released over the years.
  • It's Personal: After Jake kills Hourglass, MOTHER personally goes after him.
  • Jerkass: She doesn't care for anyone but herself, and for that reason, she decides on murdering people who visit "her" island via her toons while gleefully watching from the background, then after watching Jake kill Hourglass after constant torture, believe that it somehow makes him the villain, all while thinking she's somehow in the right. Actually, you're more likely to hate her for everything she stands for in the end.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: She tries to invoke having loved ones in the form of the toons, but it's quite clear she's mostly using them for her own agenda.
  • Kill It with Fire: How she meets her end.
  • Killed Off for Real: Jake kills her for good at the end of Night 5 in Oblitus Casa.
  • Knight Templar Parent: Played for Horror. She's overprotective of the toons and in fact encourages they kill people, as she sees visitors as threats to their privacy. It gets to the point that she forces the toons up to the first game's Night 3 into a Fusion Dance so they can defend themselves more effectively from said visitors.
  • Mama Bear: The main reason she attempts to directly kill Jake in Oblitus Casa is that he killed "her children".
  • Mysterious Past: What exactly she is and how she ended up controlling the toons is unexplained. It's implied, however, that she and her "children" are Corruptusa what?.
  • No Name Given: She may be called "MOTHER", but this is only for convenience. Who she really is and whether she's even a Mickey Mouse in the first place is uncertain, as she never introduces herself truly.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: As MickMick, she can somehow enter the attic whenever she wants. Make sure to keep track of her on the cameras so you don't end up with an unpleasant surprise.
  • Perpetual Smiler: As MickMick, which gets even more pronounced when she transforms further.
  • Psychopathic Womanchild: If her Villainous Breakdown at the end of Night 4 of Oblitus Casa is any indication, MOTHER is more like an immature adult in the form of a noncorporeal being who never quite learned to take responsibility for herself, and she is extremely petty even before Jake personally encounters her on Night 6 of the first game.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Combined with Motive Rant. She gives a hefty one when Jake kills Hourglass at the end of Night 4 in Oblitus Casa.
"No...! No! No, no, no, no, no, NO!! What did you do?! They were children, my children!! I took them under my care! I protected them... They did nothing to you people, until you came...! They didn't know why you were doing anything to them... They didn't even understand what you wanted...! They were scared! And you killed them! You people shouldn't have come here. I shouldn't have led you. I've seen what you people do before... Everything that you do here! Every time your team meddles in something they can't understand... Every time they push and prod and poke too deep! You don't even realize that the grass you step on... the air you breathe... It's all... me! I've always been here... every... single... time...! Even if you didn't realize it. Even if you didn't recognize me. I have been here, forever... and I will be here forever... But! Even after the countless amount of times I've seen this play out. The eternities I've spent with you! ...I never thought you'd go this far! I was wrong to let you pollute this place, to walk all over me, as long as I did. I was wrong not to do anything a long, long time ago. It will all end here. I will make sure of it!"
  • Scream Discretion Shot: MOTHER can be heard screaming in rage at the beginning of her boss battle music before she appears as MickMick, likely hinting at a Painful Transformation.
  • Society Is to Blame: An outright villainous example. MOTHER claims that it's due to the SSA's investigation team choosing to scout Discovery Island and encountering her "children" (the toons) that they became scared and chose to fight back. This is willingly ignoring the fact that she obviously made them act that way towards humans in the first place.
  • The Sociopath: She fits the bill. Unlike the other toons, she is clearly aware of what she's doing and is sapient enough to address her enemies directly, making her stand out as more vile than the other enemies as she's clearly aware she's tormenting innocent people and controlling others for her own amusement. As well as this, it's rather clear she doesn't actually care for anyone besides herself.
  • Token Evil Teammate: While MOTHER is their leader, and the toons are antagonistic mostly of their own will, they only act that way because MOTHER made them that way, being the reason the toons attack the player at all. This immeasurable evil of hers is also part of why The Face disobeys her.
  • Tom the Dark Lord: A villainous, psychopathic shadow of the former Mickey Mouse leading a group of psychotic supernatural toons called "MOTHER".
  • True Final Boss: She is the real final boss of Treasure Island, serving as the final enemy in the canon story and being the leader of the very toons who had been attempting to kill Jake throughout the first game and up to the sequel's Night 4.
  • Unblockable Attack: Her going into the attic as MickMick in Night 5 of Oblitus Casa. The player can't deter her by returning to the ground floor or shining the lighter in her face like with The Face, so visiting the attic when she's in it results in immediate death.
  • The Unfought: Despite being the presumed main villain, she is not an in-game enemy. While this changes in Oblitus Casa, you still don’t fight her true form but rather her physical avatar: MickMick.
  • Villain Ball: She's capable of murder in her noncorporeal form as is, so what does she do to battle Jake? Take on a physical form as MickMick to spite him... while there's an active fire in the cabin. Inevitably, that fire kills her.
  • Villainous Breakdown: She does not take it well when Jake kills Hourglass for good, going into a full Motive Rant and attacking you directly as MickMick.
  • You Have Failed Me: Implied. As of 2.0, the hanged corpse of all other toons can occasionally be seen in the cabin during Night 5. Whether she did it herself or pushed them to do it is unclear, and it does bring into question if she really cares about "her children", or if she only cared about those who fused to become Hourglass.

    Henry Miller

Henry Miller

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/henrycloseup.png
You know, Jake, I really had my doubts about you. I mean after everything that happened, after what they did, and then they sent you here, who wouldn't?
The previous intern before Jake who went missing in the Pirate Caverns sometime before the events of the first game.
  • And There Was Much Rejoicing: Declares Jake’s success in killing MOTHER with an incredibly gleeful tone. She was creating an infinite loop where Henry constantly suffered, however, so he would of course be the most relieved to be free from it.
  • Apocalyptic Log: His voice message to Jake in Night 3 and Night 6 is implied to be documenting his final moments before he is killed.
  • Ascended Extra: In previous versions, Henry was never actually identified, barely had any clear role in the story, and was mostly his own character. The only role he really plays is being the reason Jake visits the island. In the final version, he becomes Undying, being a more direct antagonist, and helps Jake fight the toons in the sequel after getting out of him.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: He helps Jake mainly because he was the only one that actually bothered to search for him.
  • Beyond the Impossible: He found a way to get out of Undying and built a body made purely of trash he found. He also sees Jake killing MOTHER as this, mentioning he didn't even expect him to be able to do so.
  • Big Good: Him getting lost on the job is what causes Jake to visit the island on another SSA assignment, and he aims to take vengeance upon MOTHER for targeting him, which is what causes the present day events of the game to occur.
  • The Chessmaster: He used what he learned about the toons during his time observing them to help Jake get rid of MOTHER.
  • Composite Character: In earlier builds of Five Nights at Treasure Island, his form when he become an undead being was actually shown to be a yellow humanoid who lost his arm and his head. In the final version, he is implied to possess the previously separate character of Undying.
  • Cosmic Plaything: Every time the story repeated in limbo, he's the one missing and has to suffer quite a lot, to the point where you can momentarily see both the classic, red humanoid Undying and the yellow humanoid missing an arm from older versions of Treasure Island flashing as he explains this, heavily implying he was once them as well. He stopped being this once he got out of Undying and fought back.
  • Creepy Monotone: Justified, due to having a body made mainly of trash he found. He’s seen using a transmitter on his hand to communicate with Jake.
  • Determinator: Nothing will deter him to stop MOTHER once and for all, not even death, possession-by-suit, being stuck in a limbo or not having a body.
  • Disposable Intern: Strongly suggested to be one. He helps Jake so he doesn't end up like him.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After enduring so much suffering over several loops, he helps Jake finish off MOTHER, to free him and everyone else from the endless pain.
  • Justified Tutorial: The notes informing the player of the behavior of the enemies throughout the game actually came from Henry.
  • Manslaughter Provocation: Since Oblitus Casa reveals Undying is actually Henry, it's unlikely he kept himself sane during MOTHER's torture of his soul upon killing him, and by the time he completely lost his mind, he started to kill visitors of Discovery Island out of passion, rather than actual malice.
  • Meaningful Appearance: He wears an eyeless Mickey Mouse mask just the same way that Undying does, showing him to be the same entity. As a more subtle detail, Henry is also the same height as Undying.
  • Mr. Exposition: His entire speech at the end of True Nightmare is an Infodump regarding himself and MOTHER's wrongdoings. A vague exposition, but an exposition nonetheless.
  • Never Found the Body: His body after his death and transformation into Undying is never found in the end. What is seen in his ending is his spirit taking on a form made of scraps.
  • Nice Guy: Henry is genuinely friendly to Jake and willingly describes his experience with MOTHER to him after she is defeated. He stands out compared to his former SSA colleagues, who are clearly negligent towards others and don't really care much for workplace safety — or even bothered to search for Henry himself at all after he went missing on the island.
  • The Reveal: At the end of Custom Night’s True Nightmare mode, he appears and reveals that he's the one who has been guiding you in Oblitus Casa by making the notes, having found a way to get out of Undying and building a body for himself with whatever he found. He also reveals that MOTHER had everyone stuck in a limbo where the events from the older versions of Treasure Island also happened, being the one who always suffered the worst fate. When he got out, he waited for a chance to finish things once a for all, and once Jake also got out and reappeared later, he got it.

Custom Night-Exclusive

    Classic Photo-Negative Mickey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/027d7c8c_03dd_44ce_a895_0608bd87a7b2.png
The version of Photo-Negative Mickey in older versions of Treasure Island, before his redesign for the final version. He appears in the Classic Mode and in the Custom Night as an enemy.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Wanna see my head come off?"
  • Giggling Villain: Prone to laughter between his morbid threats.
  • Mascot: His simplistic design that makes him physically identical to Mickey is very well-known to many from the days when everyone played Treasure Island’s original demo, to the point where many associate him with the game more than the new design. He is also this in a literal sense, as all characters were originally costumes before being changed into toons.
  • Stylistic Suck: His appearance is taken from the oldest and most simplistic versions of the game, where he was simply an inverted Mickey model. His jumpscare sound is also the high-pitched one used in the older versions, and the jumpscare itself has erratic and twitchy movements.

    Classic The Face
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fbc164d9_7f15_4208_aaa8_17d1528383d8.png
The version of The Face in older versions of Treasure Island, before his redesign for the final version. He appears in the Classic Mode and in the Custom Night as an enemy.
  • Just Ignore It: He is fended off simply by bringing up the camera whenever he appears.
  • Stylistic Suck: Like Classic Photo-Negative Mickey, his art style is quite simplistic and his jumpscare sound is the old high-pitched version.

    Mascot Photo-Negative Mickey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/78323559_9b79_48c7_8b47_358e51e5ea36.png
Another version of Photo-Negative Mickey resembling the official Mickey mascot costume, which seems to be the exact same mascot seen in Abandoned by Disney that inspired Treasure Island’s version. He only appears in Custom Night.
  • Alien Blood: As in the original story, this costume has thick, yellow blood which may or may not actually be vomit. You can see this with the yellow stains around his neck and on his mallet.
  • Blood Is the New Black: Not only does he have yellow stains around his neck and on his mallet, the color of his own blood, but his sleeves have red bloodstains on them.
  • Creepy High-Pitched Voice: In comparison to everyone else, at least. While the other Photo-Negative Mickeys have deep, masculine voices, the costume follows the voice described in Abandoned By Disney, being a “hushed, perverted, but perfectly executed Mickey Mouse voice”.
  • Mascot: Aside from literally being a mascot, he is one to Abandoned By Disney as a whole.
  • Mythology Gag: Him holding a mallet is a reference to A Few Suggestions, where the costume whacked a person’s skull.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: He wears a formal suit.
  • Shout-Out: Whereas the entire game is loosely based off of Abandoned by Disney, with the Big Bad being loosely based on the mascot costume, this character is the very same mascot costume from the story.

    Pete (Treasure Island)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/061b548b_a300_41b2_a313_0d7470bafece.png
Another version of Pete based on the old Disney cartoon Steamboat Willie. Not to be confused with the Oblitus Casa version of the character, as this Pete is more or less the original. He only appears in Custom Night.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: His only physical appearance is during his jumpscare. Prior to that, the only way to stop him from attacking you is to click a camera that has a red indicator on it.
  • Mythology Gag: Pete was originally planned to be a bonus character all the way back in the 2.0. version of the game, and was even once considered to come back for the final game.

    Willy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3880b3cc_e2fd_4741_b12c_33f5c549aad6.png
Not to be confused with the Oblitus Casa character with a similar name, though the Willy here inspired the later Willie. This is another Mickey Mouse based on the old Disney cartoon Steamboat Willie. He was going to replace Photo-Negative Mickey in 3.0., but was dropped due to backlash. He does return for the Custom Night, however.
  • Demoted to Extra: He was going to be the main antagonist at point, but was dropped and now only remains as a Custom Night character in Treasure Island.
  • Expy: Of Phantom BB from Five Nights at Freddy's 3. He will appear on a camera feed and jumpscare you if you don't disable that feed, switch to another feed, or put down the camera. Unlike BB, however, if he attacks you, it's game over.
  • Extreme Close-Up: On the cameras, his face is zoomed uncomfortably close, which also makes it easy to spot him.
  • Non-Indicative Name: He's named after the titular boat of the animated short, but is just another version of Mickey.

    Sparky
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/37ff8118_d1d8_4e4a_8e8b_4d1c31f05e3a.png
A dog character styled after the animatronics of Five Nights at Freddy's, based on a famous hoax about the first game. He only appears in Custom Night.
  • Shout-Out: He is based on a hoax made shortly after the first Five Nights at Freddy's was released. Rumors circulated that a dog animatronic was an easter egg in the same vein as Golden Freddy, with even a fake screenshot being branded as proof, to the point that Scott Cawthon had to personally debunk them. As a nod to this, he has the jumpscare sound from the first FNaF game.
  • Stock Animal Name: "Sparky" is a pretty cliched name for dogs.
  • Token Robot: He's the only character in the game to both be an animatronic and not be based off a Mickey Mouse character.

    Cabin Face
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ee8797ef_071e_4282_8a95_df67743e5899.png
A version of The Face from the very first version of Oblitus Casa, who has come back to haunt the final version's Custom Night.
  • Development Gag: He's the only enemy from the 2015 version of the game and possibly that version’s only surviving asset. The only reason he was included was because his model was miraculously found on an old hard drive.
  • Go for the Eye: He is fended off by you catching his eyeball bouncing across the attic.
  • Stylistic Suck: While not nearly to the extent of the first game's classic characters, Cabin Face still has a very simplistic design even with revamped textures. It is stated in-game that his mesh and rig were not edited in the slightest since 2015.

    Slester
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/61e47f31_987c_4aa8_987f_e59d2f25aea4.png
A puppet-like character from Treasure Island's very early days, who is now back as a Custom Night-exclusive character.
  • The Bus Came Back: After having missed out on several incarnations of Treasure Island, Slester makes his grand return in Oblitus Casa.
  • Support Party Member: He cannot kill you in the Custom Night, but he will distort the screen when he's stared for too long in the office, making it harder for the player to look at the cameras.
  • You Don't Look Like You: As Slester was originally a very simplistic model, he recieved many new details in his new model. Most notably, he has an extra needle in his leg, the gap between his legs is nowhere near as high, his face has a more stitch-like appearance and he has a bleeding hole in his chest which exposes a heart.

    Ink-Blot MickMick
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2724d486_b58c_45cb_8df3_6bfa6b9cc07a.png
An inky version of MickMick from Nightmare Before Disney, an old spin-off of Treasure Island. He returns in Oblitus Casa's Custom Night.
  • Body Horror: He appears to have an exposed skull, has no jaw, is missing most of his limbs, and is melting.
  • Giggling Villain: Omits a deep laugh when he enters the cabin.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: You send him away… by blinking at him.

    The Corruptus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/85842993_57cd_48b3_a138_163828046fc7.png
A character from Abandoned: Discovery Island, an unofficial fan revival of the original game's first version. He makes an official appearance in Oblitus Casa's Custom Night.
  • Advancing Boss of Doom: Watching his duplicates will take him one step forward, and there's no way to reverse his progress.
  • Electronic Speech Impediment: His original incarnation simply had repeating syllables, but in his Oblitus Casa appearance, his voice has so many glitchy effects that it makes him near-unintelligible.
  • Fusion Dance: He is one of The Face, Mortimer (then known as Suicide Mouse), and Photo-Negative Mickey in his continuity. This is retained in his redesign, as he has patches of all their colors on his body.
  • Ghostly Glide: He has no feet, but has the ability to hover above the ground.
  • Mind over Matter: Whenever he enters a room, it is turned upside down and objects float around him.
  • Non-Indicative Name: In Abandoned by Disney lore, "Corruptus" refers to a manifestation of the public's negativity, which the toons in the final version of Treasure Island seem to be. In regards to this character, known as "The Corruptus", he is based on corrupted technology, which is why his design and motif are based on themes of heavy electronic glitching.
  • Shout-Out: He is one to his game of origin, Abandoned: Discovery Island, specifically the original version, rather than the unaffiliated later versions.
  • You Don't Look Like You: The Corruptus had a very simplistic model in his source material, but was completely redesigned for his official appearance. He now has static in his eyes and mouth, green glitchy effects around his body, a body that closer resembles Mickey Mouse (while retaining the lack of legs) and a much more balanced application of the colors of his components.

Creepypasta Challenge Mode

    Jeff the Killer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c32a6855_6965_4289_ad48_0d7bc0e5db03.png
A name known to many, the creepypasta legend himself, Jeff the Killer, is in Oblitus Casa.

This page is for tropes exclusively about his appearance in said game; any tropes about Jeff in general should go to his main page.

    Slenderman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5c6fff94_7057_42a7_9341_b351d5f1f3f2.png
The tall man in the woods, Slenderman is a being to be feared by many and a creepypasta legend.

This page is for tropes about his appearance in Oblitus Casa. Tropes about Slenderman in general should go to his characters page.

  • Shout-Out: While all of the Creepypasta Challenge characters are this, Slenderman stands out as you have to collect eight pages to clear his challenge.

    Smile Dog
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6108ad1a_463a_4378_b175_d5c825144012.png
A demonic dog with a deadly grin, you’d better spread the word if you don’t want to deal with the Smile Dog.
  • Hellhound: It is a demonic, evil dog with goat feet.
  • Weakened by the Light: When the drawing begins to reform, it is deterred by flashing the camera lights on its face a few times, or using the lighter if it is hiding inside the attic.

    Eyeless Jack
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ba1dce57_5be8_42f5_80b7_8e7d247f5a5c.png
A being that appears during sleep paralysis, and that’s all anyone knows about it.
  • Eyeless Face: It's in the name, after all.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Listening to his footsteps allows him to be located, and he can only be briefly seen by flashing the light at very close range.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Compared to his original counterpart, Jack wears no clothes, is much, much taller and has a brown color scheme in comparison to a blue one. His mask and empty eyes are very much the same, however.

Easter Eggs

    Mortimer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/078f4aeb_546d_46e6_94d6_f3297e7338cb.png
Real suffering is not known…
A monochrome mouse who lives inside the world of television and makes the world around him grey, inspired by Suicide Mouse. In prior versions, he was even named Suicide Mouse.
  • Adaptational Badass: Suicide Mouse in the Abandoned: Discovery Island era of the game was hardly a threat, only activating on the third night and acting pretty much the same as every other enemy. This time around, he is much faster, much more aggressive, and much more villainous overall, as he can appear at any point as an Easter Egg and can deactivate the other enemies to kill the player himself.
  • The Cynic: Exaggerated. Mortimer isn't only constantly bemoaning the world as a bad place, the hatred of the world he lives in is what makes him such an aggressive enemy.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: He is black-and-white and every room will turn black-and-white if he enters it, including Treasure Island's Office.
  • Diabolus ex Nihilo: Unlike the other toons, there is little explanation for Mortimer's circumstances in the context of the plot, as well as for why he's so much more overpowered than them and why he's even involved with them in the first place. He doesn't seem to be under MOTHER's control either, and is seemingly acting according to his own agency.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: His eyes perpetually glow white.
  • Hearing Voices: "Can you hear the screaming?"
  • Invincible Villain: Once Mortimer is triggered, he'll take a direct path to the player, and there is no way to stop him. Aside from putting up the monitor once he's in the room, in the first game, of course. You Are Already Dead if he's activated in Oblitus Casa.
  • Meaningful Name: "Mortimer" is French for "dead pond". In addition, Mortimer was the original name chosen for Mickey Mouse before Walt Disney’s wife insisted it be changed.
  • Mythology Gag: "Mortimer Mouse" was Walt Disney's original name for the character who would later be known as Mickey Mouse. The name would later be used for one of Mickey's nephews (although it's shortened to "Morty"), as well as one of his rivals.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: Getting killed by him in Oblitus Casa triggers the Game Over screen with a black-and-white filter, the Mickey head logo from the 1930s flashing on the screen, and the ominous melody heard at the end of the fan interpretation of Suicide Mouse.
  • Reality Warper: Aside from coloring the room he is in monochrome, all illustrations and pictures inside the room will change into that of Mickey's.
  • Scary Teeth: Has a thick, sharp set of teeth in his gob.
  • Shout-Out: As mentioned above, he inspired by Suicide Mouse, a creepypasta describing a lost cartoon that causes those who watch it to go insane. Some of his lines are taken word-for-word from the story ("The sights of Hell brings its viewers back in.", "Real suffering is not known.") while others reference it in other ways ("All you can do is smile wider… and wider…", "It gets louder… the more you walk… the louder it gets.") , the music accompanying his appearance in is lifted from a fan interpretation, and he emerges from a TV screen displaying the old Mickey logo from the 1930s, which is described in the story to be part of the cursed video.
  • Slasher Smile: He constantly has a sadistic grin on his face.
  • Snowy Screen of Death: The music that accompanies his appearance is cut off in the middle by static.
  • Television Portal: He emerges from a television in both of his appearances.

    Pluto
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2578c7b3_dc10_4f76_813a_2bcc2aa116bd.png
A docile yet ghastly character based on Mickey's pet dog Pluto.
  • Big Friendly Dog: Well, he still offers some tension by being an ominous presence in the office, but unlike the other toons, he isn't dangerous, and he doesn't try to kill the player either, making him an exception to the rampant villainy in the other characters.
  • Easter Egg: While Mortimer and the Forgotten One cause a game over, Pluto is a pure easter egg who can't kill the player. He can sometimes be seen in the Office, the Pirate Caverns and the Attic, but does not do anything to the player.
  • Hell Is That Noise: He emits a low whipsery growl whenever he appears.
  • Red Herring: He makes the same wood-cracking sound as the other characters when he appears in the Office, which can mislead you into thinking he's dangerous, especially if you're not familiar with his status as an Easter Egg.
  • Team Pet: Like the original Pluto, this Pluto is the only one to represent a domesticated animal out of everyone in the cast.

    The Forgotten One

A Mickey toon who sometimes appears in the Office. His true purpose is unknown, all that is known is that he was forgotten.
  • Expy: An expy of Golden Freddy from the main Freddy's games, as a yellow version of the mascot who suddenly appears in the office to crash your game, further shown with his Oblitus Casa jumpscare being a saturated close-up of his face, like Golden Freddy. His redesign even shows that he has an association with the year 2014, much like Golden Freddy with 1987.
  • Joke Character: Stated by the game's director to be one. He is, being a parody of Golden Freddy.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: He can cause a game over in Treasure Island, but rather than attacking the player, encountering him triggers a system error that takes the player back to the main menu.
  • You Don't Look Like You: His new design not only reduces his melting and gives him his arm back, but also gives him a full set of clothes, being a yellow shirt, brown pants, blue gloves, and white shoes, along with a cane and a hat with the number 2014 on it.

    Squidward
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a8541ac8_a3e7_4e65_aab1_11ba4c44f33e.png
A hellish, robotic form of Squidward Tentacles, based on Five Nights at the Chum Bucket's Squidward. In Oblitus Casa, he appears with his withered design from Five Nights at The Krusty Krab: Chapter 3.
  • Easter Egg: Like Pluto and the Nightmare Suicide Mouse, he cannot kill the player.
  • Shout-Out: A crossover from Five Nights at the Chum Bucket.

    Nightmare Suicide Mouse

Another character based on the Mickey Mouse from the Suicide Mouse creepypasta, being a nightmare version of Mortimer/Suicide Mouse. He is from Nightmare Before Disney, a spin-off of Treasure Island.
  • Easter Egg: Like Pluto and Squidward, he cannot kill the player in the original Treasure Island.
  • Shout-Out: A crossover from Five Nights at Treasure Island: Nightmare Before Disney.

    DEEZ & NUTS
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deezandnuts.png
Well now that I'm here, I can make things a little more charming than they previously were.
Two joke characters from previous troll builds of both Five Nights At Treasure Island and Oblitus Casa. DEEZ is an animatronic version of Photo-Negative Mickey whereas NUTS is an Oswald puppet replacing his right hand. They return in Oblitus Casa as an easter egg.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: In the joke builds, he was more of a loud potty-mouthed Jerkass with a boisterous voice to match. In Oblitus Casa, his voice is much calmer and smoother, and he isn't as much of a jerk anymore.
  • Caps Lock: Their names are spelled in all capitals.
  • Deadpan Snarker: All of Deez's quotes in Oblitus Casa are full of sarcasm.
  • Easter Egg: Like Pluto and Squidward, they just appear to deliver funny quotes and cannot kill the player.
  • Expy: Of Funtime Freddy and Bon-Bon from Sister Location
  • Fanservice: What he claims is the whole reason for his cameos on Oblitus Casa, much to his dismay.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: Pretty much all of his quotes make him into one.
  • Joke Character: Hails from two joke games for the series called Five Nights At Treasure Island: Sister Location (though the one for the second game is often called "Oblitus Casa Troll Demo" in order to tell one from the other), which are fake demos for Treasure Island and Oblitus Casa that have no actual gameplay.
  • Lampshade Hanging: DEEZ will do that on all his quotes, including the fact that he has a new voice actor.
  • Meaningful Name: The duo is named after a meme and are joke characters.
  • Perverse Puppet: The few times NUTS speaks, he's just as much of a jerk as DEEZ.
  • Shout-Out: DEEZ and NUTS are named as a reference to the viral meme "Deez Nuts".
  • Take That, Audience!: One of his quotes points out that the lore for Oblitus Casa would be a lot more interesting if (the player) wasn't picking it apart every five seconds, an obvious jab at theory videos of both the Treasure Island and FNAF series.
  • Unexplained Recovery: The Oblitus Casa Demo ended with them both being left as disembodied heads after the explosion of the generator room, but they are completely fine in the proper game, and of course it's pointed out by DEEZ.
  • You Don't Look Like You: When he first appeared on the troll demo for Treasure Island, he had a pink face, in order to ressemble Funtime Freddy more. For his second appearance in the Oblitus Casa demo, he was recolored to ressemble Photo-Negative Mickey, which carries over to his easter egg cameo in the official game.

Supernatural Studies Association

    Jake Smith
The Player Character who is trapped in Treasure Island until his colleagues can assist him.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In previous versions of the game, Jake was previously depicted as a Villain Protagonist who killed the employees at Disney due to a prank from an employee pretending to be Mickey, merging them with the mascot suits and forcing GOD/UO to give them life again, transforming them into the murderous suits seen in the previous versions, which also leads him to being Dragged Off to Hell (Nightmare Before Disney). Instead, he's reduced to a Butt-Monkey who gets shoved onto an island as an intern, getting attacked by multiple toons against his will who weren't created from his actions.
  • The Corpse Stops Here: Him being closest to Greg, Lisa and Henry when they ended up dying (MOTHER actually killed them) has him suspected for being their killer. Ultimately, especially considering his now-present insanity, he is unable to disprove that he killed them and the true culprit was MOTHER.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: In Night 3, he receives a distress call from Henry asking someone to help him in Pirate Caverns. Despite Lisa having warned him not to head there under any circumstances, Jake ends up going there anyway.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: He manages to finally finish off MOTHER in Oblitus Casa, freeing himself and everyone trapped in the endless cycle of pain she was putting them through. He can finally leave Treasure Island behind, and rest easy.
  • Featureless Protagonist: Averted. This is how he looks like.
  • Heroic Mime: He never speaks in the game.
  • Hope Spot: Greg promises to bail Jake out after five nights, only for him to admit that the team cannot get to Treasure Island in time, so Jake has to stay for a little while longer. Just in time for the toons to begin merging into Hourglass.
  • The Intern: He is one.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Considering that he is a member of an organization seeking to document the paranormal, he is certainly one.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: In previous versions, Jake dies as his karma for murdering Disney employees, and ends up in his personal hell in the form of Nightmare Before Disney afterwards. In the final version, he doesn't die in the end, but he gets knocked unconscious multiple times and ends up being considered clinically insane instead.
  • Uncertain Doom: At the end of the game, he is confronted by MOTHER, but it was unknown what becomes of him. Ultimately subverted, as he's confirmed to still be alive in Oblitus Casa.

    Greg MacLochlainn
Jake's male friend who sends a voice message for him on Night 1.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In the final version, Greg is made much less of a Deadpan Snarker compared to how he is in early versions. He still cares only about his equipment and preparing extra back at the base more than helping you, though.
  • Bus Crash: Confirmed to be dead alongside Lisa in Oblitus Casa
  • Mission Control: He advises Jake how to shoo away Photo-Negative Mickey.
  • Skewed Priorities: Despite acknowledging that there is a possibly of danger in Treasure Island, he warns Jake not to mess up with the property as they are expensive.

    Lisa Bertsch
Jake's female friend who also sends a voice message for him on Night 2.
  • Adaptational Angst Downgrade: When calling Jake in the original version's Night 2, Lisa is a Nervous Wreck who practically shouts her every word due to anxiety as she explains Oswald to him. In the final version, she's made much calmer and tries to assure Jake that he isn't in any real danger without sounding anxious about it.
  • Bus Crash: Confirmed to be dead alongside Greg in Oblitus Casa.
  • Mission Control: Advises Jake how to avoid Oswald and warns him to stay away from Pirate Caverns.
