openEditing YMMV for "Instrument of God"
I think the YMMV page for [Instrument of God][https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/InstrumentOfGod] needs editing: most of the tropes carry some negative undertone, and considering the literature's origin as an Entry Pimped book that was not yet published until demand by Tropers, I think this page needs some revision.
That, plus a ZCE So Bad Its Good entry.
openIncest Is Relative question.
Incest Is Relative doesn't have page examples but there are ones in Related page. But i don't think it's a legit index.
openWhy is Arbitrary Skepticism No Real Life Examples?
I'm guessing because people might use it to criticize religion E.G pointing out how your average Christian would considering thinking werewolves or vampires is patently absurd but thinking belief in angels and demons is completely reasonable. (which I actually think is a good point, but I can see why you don't want to open that can of worms.)
Edited by BootlebatopenWhere to place new Fanfic Recs? Web Original
I want to recommend a new Mega Crossover Fanfic, though I'm not sure where to place it, among the others? Should it be at the top, the both, somewhere in the middle or does it not matter? There doesn't seem to be any alphabetic order, so I just want to be safe than sorry.
openBastard!! Character Page Anime
Hey there!
There is an overlap between the Bastard!! anime/manga and a separate Bastard webcomic (on the character page). I am new to editing, so I have no idea how to separate the two. BUT PERHAPS THERE IS SOMEONE WHO DOES?!
Thank you! -Arjun
openWhich media? Webcomic
I'd like to make a page for Tillie Walden's On a Sunbeam, which, from what I know, started as a webcomic before being published as a graphic novel by a publishing company. It's the same story, and the same art, just in book form. Should I list it as a webcomic or as literature? Thank you!
openno title
Say, in Alice And Bob, Bob is turned into a frog (he's later tuned back). In situations like these, people would often say "Frog!Bob did this" and "Human!Bob did that". Or say "Book!Bob did this" and "Movie!Bob did that".
I read somewhere that using exclamation marks like this isn't kosher due to being confusing, but I'm not sure where. Is that the case?
openIs this a bug, or something else?
I'm noticing several times on the Recent Edit Reasons page that the same reasons pop up over and over for the same page. Clicking on the link shows that it isn't someone doing two edits with the same reason, but apparently one edit followed by other null ones a few minutes later. This is weird, right?
openMutually exclusive tropes Film
The MCU: Spider-Man page features both Adaptational Early Appearance and Adaptational Late Appearance. I think that having two tropes with diametrically opposite meanings might confuse readers but troper Anicomicgeek disagrees. Instead of starting an Edit War, I thought of bringing the discussion here and show you what's happening.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: His relationship with Tony Stark. In the comics, Peter was more-or-less self-taught and figured things out his own way, but eventually gained Tony Stark as a mentor when he took a job at his company, but here, Tony begins mentoring Peter when he's still new to things. Notably, Tony gave Peter the job in the comics as a cover because Peter had moved in with the Avengers alongside his wife, Mary Jane Watson, and they needed to excuse why the Parkers were living there. This Peter is still too young to get married and is still living with Aunt May. While Tony Stark was actually introduced in the comics after Peter Parker, Stark can be seen as a stand-in for Reed Richards, who Parker originally looked up to.
- Adaptational Late Appearance: Despite the Adaptational Early Appearance with his relationship with Tony, Peter himself is this, as this Peter lived in a world where the Avengers existed for years before he became Spider-Man and idolized Iron Man. His comic counterpart actually predates Tony becoming Iron Man and by extension the founding of the Avengers themselves.
As you can see, both tropes inform about different points about Spider-Man's history, but I don't think it's a good idea to feature them both at the same time. What do you think?
openNeed advice on an index
Not Used to Freedom was launched recently, but it's not indexed. In the TLP thread, the OP didn't address the matter, so I can't add it to the approved index(es) myself.
Thoughts? Or index suggestions?
openIndex
There's no appropriate index for InternetBackdraft.Fallout 76 and InternetBackdraft.Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Internet Backdraft can't have an on-page examples section?
openCopy-pasting Trope Entries
This is out of curiosity more than anything, but I noticed that several of the trope entries on the Jon Kent entry of the Earth-27 Supporting Characters page are lifted directly from the Superboy page.
For instance, Icy Blue Eyes and Super-Senses are word-for-word copies.
Is this alright?

openComicbook character pages.
Do Comicbook pages work like Wrestling were they can double as a character page?
In the Characters.Marvel Comics and Characters.DC Comics page there's a hidden comment near that top that says
"Only create pages for characters who have been the stars of their own series. Villains and supporting characters can go on the main page of their respective hero. Superfluous character pages will be put on the Cut List."
yet I see some pages like Mysterio, Monet St. Croix, The Kingpin and Norman Osborn. I don't think those were ever big "stars" of their own series, but even if they did star their own mini issue at some point, their pages are clearly about the characters and not the issue, so why put that restriction if There Is No Such Thing As Notability?. Is that comment outdated? Could I create a character page about a comicbook character if I so wanted?
There's also weird situations Zatanna where the has a folder about tropes about her character but she also has a Characters.Zatanna entry where it lists her character tropes (along with her supporting cast)
Some like Batman and Wonder Woman have a list of "tropes across all versions" but also have a Batman (The Character) and Wonder Woman (The Character) and a lot of their entries could be on either page and some are duplicates. It's just confusing.
I actually like the idea of some Comicbook doubling as character pages, especially since Marvel and DC character can appear in so many different comics, even minor villains can have a Rogues' Gallery Transplant so it can be a nightmare to know which character sheet a character is supposed to fit in. But I wanted to be sure what is the norm, if there even is one.

How are the "Influences" listed on Music pages determined? Does it have to be an artist the creator has specifically stated to have influenced them to be listed?
openCharacter Page for VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes Videogame
The character page for Fire Emblem Heroes has mostly characters from the game itself but a few characters from the games before it. My question is, and I asked this in the Discussion tab a few months ago but nobody responded, would it be smarter to just make character pages for the different playable characters based on their home game? We do that to an extent for games like Heroes of the Storm and Fate/Grand Order where they have characters from existing works given a character page, but not Fire Emblem Heroes.
openAvengers Endgame Headscratchers Locked Film
Not sure if this is the right place for this since it's kind of a moderator question but is there a reason why the Headscratchers page for Avengers Endgame is locked? I looked at most of it and the history and there didn't seem to be any significant arguments overtaking the page or excessive complaining that has gotten other Headscratchers pages locked. It seemed like a lot of standard discussion and questions. Is this just a temporary lock for some reason we can't see or is it permanent? I apologize if this is a mod only thing that I have no right to know the details of. I was just curious.

Sorry for this double post. I was randomly browsing Maleficent and I saw that someone had deleted the Draco in Leather Pants and They Copied It, Now It Sucks, claiming that the tropes are flame bait. I checked the Flame Bait page and they aren't listed there and I don't recall the new rule regarding Internet Backdraft saying that all tropes related to it are now flame bait. Is it okay for me to restore the deleted tropes?
