openZCE Memer
Cartoon Everything keeps adding examples on meme pages without providing any context to them. I did DM them a ZCE Issue Helper last September and got a reply, but it seems they haven't gotten too much better about their examples.
This isn't the first time I've brought them up, apparently, nor is it the first time they've been brought up in general.
Edited by MegaMarioManopenWho is Eddy Kariti? Possible Misinformation Troll
Courtesy Link: Eddy Kariti, discussion page and history of the page
I happened to look at the Cut List and someone, ~Spokuha, added Creator.Eddy Kariti on the cut list for "being a fraud" who allegedly has added himself to various wikis for the U.S. version of Being Human despite not actually showing up in the show. Here's a link to the guy's Twitter account. (Though notably he isn't verified.) Apparently, Kariti played a character named "Randy Brooks" but on our Characters.Being Human UK and Characters.Being Human US pages there is no such character listed.
This is so strange.
The Creator/ page was made by ken-chicken (edits), who also added the filmography section of the page. I just scanned IMDB's pages for the two Being Human series, the movie (Being Human: Unearthed), and an unrelated 1994 movie of the same name. "Randy" and "Eddy Kariti" are not listed among the "Full Cast & Crew" lists.
I'll PM Spokuha about this thread.
EDIT: This seems to be the actor's IMDB page. I assume it's correctly a page for the same person in part because it lists the same person as being his father, but it could also be full of b.s.
Editing to add list of Creator/ pages made by ken-chicken:
There may be overlap with mahidevrans (edit history showing similar interests in obscure creators like Creator.Berrak Tuzunatac, Creator.Tuncel Kurtiz, and Creator.Cansu Dere, though admittedly these are all Turks), who created a page for Painters and added this obscure Eddy Kariti person to the list in March 2019 (draft edit history).

openHow do I remove the YMMV icons on a work page?
So, I just launched a page for The Keef Crew, I have Subbing vs. Dubbing as one of the tropes since it’s a in-universe reaction, but the icon still shows up next to it. Any way I can get rid of that?
openBad Writing Index edit war (again).
Generic Doomsday Villain was added, cut, and re-added to Bad Writing Index as "Stop cutting GDV from this list. Tropes Are Tools also applies to everything else, even if it is “bad writing”."
I think it was deemed not an example as, like Flat Character, deep characterization isn't always necessary to the story or their role. Just want some consensus before deciding if an example or not. I also intend to add that while Tropes Are Tools, their nature and workings mean straight or unironic examples that are that a good use of them is theoretically impossible and extremely rare. Any other way to put it.
This was also added:
- Captain Obvious Reveal: If you are going to write a plot twist, don't foreshadow it so much that your readers will know without working at it.
By now we're taking Bad Writing Index to ATT once a week. How long/frequent must this happen before it's worth asking for it to be locked?
Edited by Ferot_DreadnaughtopenSo Bad It's Horrible Music Albums Music
There seems to be an edit war, um, sauntering on Music: Albums . I say "sauntering" because the removed example was taken down a month after it was last added. The entry in question is for the Genesis album Calling All Stations. Page history here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Horrible.MusicAlbums . Perhaps it's time for a discussion?
open The userbase is plenty, but the mods are few.
I have been lingering this for so long for a month or two now, as pondering on this query of mine, and seeing that most of the users are at home right now due to the current crisis, I'm just gonna say it now.
This site needs more moderators.
Edited by alnair20aug93open Potential Edit War in Bad Writing Index
In Bad Writing Index, there seems to be an ongoing conflict in which whether Generic Doomsday Villain deserves to be put on the Bad Writing Index. Any advice?
EDIT: NVM, someone else is discussing this, someone lock it
Edited by Siegfried1337openReinserting invalid example
Jackie-Chaos-Bunny inserted this entry on Awesome.Death Battle Season Seven:
- This is one of those battles that fans had been requesting for years, so the “Next Time” preview alone made the fandom rejoice!
And I deleted it with permission here. Later they re-added the entry.

When looking at the related pages for Ho Yay, I noticed this one peculiar redirect with no links on the entire website, so what exactly is/was Sho Yay?
open Gun falls apart Live Action TV
Hello. Somewhere, a person quickly drew a gun from a holster and it fell apart in pieces. Where was that? Thanks.
openPotholes for YMMV items (Complete Monster, etc.)
I know that they shouldn’t go in main trope pages or work pages, and that they are allowed in trope descriptions and non-specific uses. But are they allowed at all in Fridge and Moments subpages?
openNo Title
Characters.Tintin has listed under Spell My Name With An S: "Non-French readers tends to write his name as "Tin Tin" or "Tin Tin" despite his name not having a space and only the first letter being capitalised." If this is something readers do, should it be listed somewhere else?
openEdit war on Series.JaneTheVirgin
Troper ajitter89 added the trope Jumping the Shark to Jane the Virgin in reference to fan reception. I removed it since the trope is In Universe Examples Only, but they re-added it, fan references removed but still as a ZCE. Permission to remove?
(Interestingly, the show has used the term as a joke.)
openDifference Between After-Action Patchup and After-Action Healing Drama
In Chapter 9 of the fanfiction Harry Potter and the Rune Stone Path, the school nurse and a few others meet the rescuers as they come out of the Chamber of Secrets. Are the injuries and other traumas bad enough to be After-Action Healing Drama, or is it just plain After Action Patch Up?
openDo I need permission to start a Just for Fun page?
I'm planning to create JustForFun.TV Tropes Content Rating System, in which we make up our own content rating system for works, especially ones which lack an official content rating. It's like IMDB's parents guide, or Common Sense Media run by amateurs.
Do I need permission for that? Or can I start one without permission?
FYI: The content rating will be based off my creation.
Edited by PrincessPandaTropeopenRude edit reasons Live Action TV
First I thought it was an isolated incident, but Rombustier seems to have a thing for rude edit reasons
1 (This one seems rather tame in isolation)
3 (again rather harmless in isolation)
4 (For this I sent him a notifier, he never replied)
I'm sure there are more, but I think these are enough for a tap on the finger at least.

I found this trope called Bizarre And Improbable Giraffe Herding Techniques. The so-called explanation is that it has something to do with wiki consensus, says things like "realizing the giraffe's giraffness" and has absolutely no examples or tropes it can be compared with. It's also in the list of Pages Needing Wicks, but how do you even wick this.
