Benny Rogosnitzky is an internationally renewed cantor. He serves as a Cantor of the Park East Synagogue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
As a Cantor, Benny Rogosnitzky has lectured widely on Cantorial music and its application to prayer. Many of today's well-known cantors have been taught and guided by Rogosnitzky.
He is also involved at the leadership level in many charitable organizations with a unique flair for organization and implementation of community projects.
Originating from Liverpool, England, Benny Rogosnitzky spent his early schooling in Amsterdam and Johannesburg. At the age of nine, his talent for singing was first recognized by world-renowned cantor Johnny Gluck who took young Benny in his choir as a child soloist. Several years later, Rogosnitzky returned to England and upon his return was invited to lead High Holiday Services at prestigious Brighton and Hove Synagogue. There he enrolled himself in Jewish Studies in the Manchester Yeshiva. Later Benny Rogosnitzky pursued his higher education at the Royal Manchester School of Music and Art.
In the following years, Cantor Rogosnitzky has lectured on music and its application to prayer. Also, he has served as a guest lecturer at the Yale Conservatory of Music in the USA.
As a musical artist Benny Rogosnitzky has recorded three albums:
