This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Do you mind if I put The Uebermensch (a redirect to The Übermensch) through YKTTW, as this seems to be the only way to make redirects from Main to a trope page at the moment. This may need to have its page type changing after creation. It is the correct spelling if you don't have an umlaut (in fact, I thought that was the page it was on, since that is the standard for works containing umlauts.)

I have an in-universe example of All Gays Are Pedophiles to add (it's from an episode of Murdoch Mysteries called "What Lies Buried"). Specifically, Detective Murdoch is questioning Chief Constable Giles about an old case involving the murder of a rent boy, and Giles is very offended by the idea that he had sex with the victim. In fact, Giles pointedly asks Murdoch if he is attracted to little girls.
I admit the text needs improving, and I'll probably dig up quotations to make it clearer when I have time. To whom should I submit the example for approval?

All Gays Are Pedophiles: In "What Lies Buried", as Murdoch and company investigate a corpse found buried under Station Four's basement floor (which in turn recalls the unsolved murder of a rent boy), Murdoch confronts Chief Constable Giles with a photograph of Giles and another man in an intimate embrace. As part of the interrogation, they have this exchange:
- Murdoch: You lay with street boys.
Giles: Never! Never. You're making a fundamental error, Detective. You're conflating two perversions which are very different. Do you seek the company of little girls?
Murdoch: Of course not.
Giles: Well, then, just because I'm a homosexual, do not assume that I prey on boys. (Nods toward photograph) He was a man.
