Once I post the Series Bible, you could try and see who could be an Other of who if my universe absolutely needs one.

This might sound a little accusatory and jerk-ish but I've found that in collaborations, it's better to be upfront about these kinds of concern: it seems to me like this project is mostly organized for the sake of supplementing Johnnykanegrass's cyberpunk story rather than to act as a springboard or sandbox for other writers and artists to work within. I understand that in art collaborations, there's a temptation to be as laissez-faire as possible for the sake of encouraging engagement and to then stick to your own stories but I really feel like some structure and a clearly defined common goal is necessary for these kinds of projects.

The current approach seems to be “let’s get creative, we’ll think about it later”, which has its upsides and downsides.

And here’s the Universe Bible, truncated to its bare essentials.

Universe #90427: Novaspace

One of the many realms in The Multiverse, this one in particular was named after the one planet of note, Nova. This world is home to various creatures that humans think of as mere myth. Technology here is above the Present Day, thanks the Mundane Utility of Magitek, though Nova is on par with Earth when it comes to non-magical tech.

Nova is divided into the Nine Continents, each with its own geographic landscapes and species native to it.

Asgard

  • Geography: Mixed, mostly urban
  • Government: Kingdom of Asgard
  • Native Species: Angels, High Elves
The largest of the Nine Continents, a kingdom that twists Fairy Tale conventions and brings them into the modern age. Here you will find a mix between various biomes and geographies, albeit with centuries of urbanization covering it up.

Fjolnir Family (Present)

The ruling family of the Asgard continent, consisting of the ruling couple of its king and queen and their children, who will rule together once they are of age as per the King's decree.

  • King Havi Fjolnir: The angelic king of the Asgard continent, a flawed yet well meaning ruler seeking the best for his people and their prosperity while staying as passive as possible.
  • Queen Penumbrae Fjolnir: A High Elf and queen of Asgard. She's a woman of many secrets, resenting her daughters for being the target of her husband's affection instead of her. Serves as the corporation's liaison to Asgard.
  • Hulda Fjolnir: First child of Havi and Penumbrae. Mysteriously went missing long ago not too long after her birth, noted for her dislike of haircuts.
  • Bella Fjolnir: The second child of Asgard and the one most concerned about her people. Is apparently dating one of the Beastfolk, but nobody knows if that's true or not.
  • Ellis Cyndara-Fjolnir: An orphan girl adopted by the King, frequently bullied by Gram and Gungnir. Perpetually The Stoic, she dreams big of one day being accepted into her new familynote  and becoming a princess alongside her sisters.
  • Gram & Gungnir Fjolnir: A pair of homunculi created by Penumbrae as service to her and her only. They bully Ellis constantly and will do anything that their mother wants.
  • Bianca Fjolnir: The last of the Asgard Princesses. Considered the most beautiful girl in the family, something that Penumbrae resents immensely. A peppy Genki Girl, she'd rather intermingle with her subjects rather than rule over them as their queen.
  • Iris Fantasia: The Fae maid of the Fjolnir family, Iris is a kind yet refined woman deeply critical of her royal superiors, especially Queen Penumbrae. She acts as something of a stepmother to the princesses whenever the King and Queen are unavailable.
  • Lorenzini "Ren" Fantasia: A homunculus created by Iris. Bright and imaginative, if a bit of a Cloudcuckoolander and an airhead. He sees himself as a younger brother to the princesses, hoping to be adopted into the family like Ellis was.

Fjolnir Family (Past)

  • Emperor Aesir Fjolnir: The ruthless founder of the Kingdom of Asgard, who sought to unite the entire world under his tyrannical rule thousands of years ago. He was successfullly overthrown by his subjects, but the empire he built remained and will remain for the foreseeable future (even if they renamed it a "Kingdom").
  • Rosetta Fjolnir: The daughter of Emperor Aesir. While famed for her beauty, she was cursed to sleep forever by an unknown entity. Was quite optimistic in her age, believing that her fathers's regime would one day be reformed.

Midgard

An Asgardian colony

Midgardians

  • Reine Hansdottir: A rich Yuki Onna immigrant from Jotunheim. She and her parents fled the continent to escape from the oppressive rule of the Jotun Dictatorship. Cold and aloof, she ultimately wishes for someone to call a friend, a wish that was granted by…
  • Kai: A Pyroraptor harpy boy with an affinity for fire magic. A Chuunibyou at heart, he's a bit scatterbrained, easily distracted, and rather full of himself, but he's still a good guy at heart. A bit of a science geek, he long since believed in the existence of parallel universes.
  • Gerda: Kai's sister and fellow orphan, a kind girl who sees the best of anyone and will always help others in times of distress.
  • Shiki: A Katawaguruma and the adoptive daughter to a biker gang who joins Kai and Gerda on their quest to find Reine's mansion. Tomboyish to a fault, she's impatient and feisty, but you will pay if you mess with her friends.
  • Morrigan Crowflower: The head of the foster home Gerda and Kai live in. A black-winged angel that acts as a guide of sorts for on their travels.

Niflheim

The Continent of Darkness. A foreboding realm of crime, creepy vampire mansions, crime, an inept government and did we mention crime? It is here where the corporation has begun to strike.

The Corperation

  • Silpelit Stopheles: A vampire and the president of the corporation's Novaspace branch. With his mother murdered by vampire hunters when he was twelve, he acted as a boogeyman of sorts for the city of Kathlemi, attacking evildoers and draining their blood. Unfortunately, the people could only see him as an unholy monster and he was eventually sent to prison, where he was fed a blood substitute for 8 months until he was allowed out. Upon obtaining freedom, the corporation approached him with a deal. If he pledged his undying loyalty to them, he'd be appointed head of their new Novaspace branch, and a deal like that was something he simply could not miss up on. Descending into fatalism, he became convinced that vampires were nothing more then the monsters that must be defeated and the villains that The Hero must slay, wishing to go down as the worst scourge Nova had ever known. A pompous, sadistic man with the smarts to match, he is the developer of the MIRROR|ЯЯOЯIM (oftentimes just referred to as "Mirror") app used across all nine continents. He also carries a parasol wherever he goes to shield him from the sun.
  • Mina Renfeld: A Drow secretary that acts as Silpelit's representative in case things get too hot and/or he has other matters on his hands. While rather critical of her boss' actions, she admits to having a crush on him.
  • Laylith Christophe: A succubus and the vice president of the corporation's Novaspace branch. Laylith met Silpelit during his time in prison, having herself been arrested under false charges, there he explained his nihilistic philosophy to her and that monsters like them had no place in society. Disturbingly enough, she managed to agree with what he said, and after they were released from prison their friendship continued in their reformed lives as Silpelit chose her to be his Number Two on the corporation. She likes Silpelit's style, gleefully joining in on his Card-Carrying Villain antics with reckless abandonnote .

Jotunheim

  • Geography: Snow, ice, cold, mountainous, forests
  • Government: Jotunheim Democracy
  • Native Species: Jotun, Kobolds, Yuki Onna
An icy region noted for its dictatorship. It is here where Reine hails from, having fled the country to pursue a better life.

Jotunheim Democracy

Muspelheim

The neighboring rival region to Jotunheim, a continent with an asthetic that can best be described as "New Old West with added volcanos". Many try and explore this frontier, but the higher ups know some catastrophy is coming sooner or later.

Muspelheim Federation

  • President Reginald Surt: A no-nonsense politician prepared for war, though he predicted it was with Jotunheim rather than the multiverse nonsense he actually wound up in. Essentially, he's what Utgard wants people to think he is.

@WSM I don't mind people voicing their complaints. It's not a story I particularly care about.

It was meant to be a Marvel/DC crossover thing, with some rules in common across universes.

But if the complaint is that it's just to supplement one story, wouldn't more rules and structure not help that?

If you have an idea, you're welcome to put it forward

[up]

@General Gigan cool

Been busy working on other stuff. I'll whip something up and put it out.

If people are against the shared universe thing, we can do an anthology series type thing. I think that would be cool

Or if someone else had other ideas just put them forward
