Stock Parody Jokes cleanup

Yeah, I think these ones at least could be removed:

• Complaining about Jake Lloyd being a bad actor, or complaining about midi-chlorians, or complaining about too much talking, or complaining about too much CGI, or the Toilet Humor, or the arcane politicking, or really anything wrong about The Phantom Menace. Though there has been pushback against these jokes after the personal attacks against Kelly Marie Tran for her performance as Rose in The Last Jedi led many fans to realize that they'd treated PT actors like Lloyd and Ahmed Best (Jar-Jar) the same way, and possibly even set the precedent for the attacks against Tran.
• Dragging out behind-the-scenes footage from The Phantom Menace to show that Lucas is out-of-touch.
• The various levels of Fanon Discontinuity among the fandom, particularly on the internet, such as:
  • The ONLY universally accepted trilogy is the Original Trilogy… and even then some fans find reasons to not accept Return of the Jedi.
  • The Prequel Trilogy flat-out doesn’t exist (though some would argue otherwise in recent years).
  • The Sequel Trilogy made under Disney just being glorified fan-fiction.
  • The order in which to watch all the movies, often taken to ridiculous extremes such as "The Machete Order".
• The Force Awakens is a rehash of A New Hope.
• The Last Jedi is built around subverting the audience's expectations.
• The Rise of Skywalker is a rehash of Return of the Jedi.
• The movies are so Merchandise-Driven they may as well be feature-length toy commercials. Also, mocking the adult fans who buy the merchandise.

Checking the Western Animation subpage, these sound iffy to me:

• Arthur:
  • D.W. is a sociopathic Karma Houdini seemingly spawned from Satan himself.
• Caillou:
  • The show being unbearable torture endured by parents of small children.
• Family Guy:
  • The show being regarded as a rip-off of The Simpsons.

• That should go.

• I know that Family Guy made a joke about that.

• I've seen a lot of jokes about Family Guy ripping off the Simpsons. Family Guy has even made those jokes.

The Simpsons and South Park also made the "Family Guy is a Simpsons rip-off" joke.

Removed the D.W. example.

Alright, I started a WIP sandbox page where we can figure out what is or is not a parody joke.

I started out with examples from the animated films page, but I plan on adding more. (The western animation page is especially bad.) Feel free to contribute to the sandbox!

I almost think a trope talk page would be better for figuring out more general stuff like that.

Stock Parody Jokes really needs TRS. I’d work on the wick check but I have other projects I want to work on first.

And I'm done. Stock Wick Check Jokes reveals just what I thought it would: most wicks are just the joke and say little to nothing about the actual parody. Only 10/50 wicks mention both things.

I'm actually not sure what kind of action to pursue now that I think about it. If it's not actually being used in a parody, is it just a meme? Something else? Figure it out when the thread gets made? What are some ideas on the course of action that should be taken here?

Edit: I'll just throw out a few ideas I have and see what sticks:

• Disambiguate between Memetic Mutation, Stock Shout-Outs, Stock Parodies and possibly other tropes
• Redirect to Stock Shout-Outs or Stock Parodies
• Make the trope Just for Fun

I’m alright. I monitor TRS pretty regularly anyway, so I don’t really need to be pinged.

My other suggestion is that these entries should actually give examples of parodies that use the joke.

BTW, is this not allowed to be wicked on work pages? I've never heard such an example but Agentofchaos removed an entry from Ratatouille back in December claiming such.

Not a bad idea either—maybe we could make that a requirement.
