Jake Matthew Lloyd (born March 5, 1989) is a former American actor.
He's most well known for having played young Anakin Skywalker in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. He reprised the role in five subsequent Star Wars Episode I-themed video games. He got the part after appearing in the 1996 Arnold Schwarzenegger Christmas vehicle Jingle All the Way.
A living embodiment of Former Child Star (for more details, see his entry on that page) and some the most serious troubles associated with I Am Not Spock, he retired from acting altogether. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 19.
