Heh, my bio is done too. It's not a reference to anything, I just thought it'd be fun.

Some point I'll read back through and figure out which thing I considered mentioning here. Should also run through a spooky trope index or two, like Haunted Index.

Edit: I think Fernando was referring to their bio joke, not my silly reference.

so my immediate thought for my older/obscure work this month was The Enigma of Amigara Fault. it was published in spring 2002, near as i can tell, and it only has 93 wicks, so it qualifies on both of the metrics we typically use. however... it has almost 200,000 inbounds. do yall think that disqualifies it from being obscure?

Oh lord, that's a lot, but personally I think "obscure" should be by wiki metrics and not inbounds; still, it's a weird case.

Could always do it for "Non-English Work" instead since it's a manga after all.

I have a handful of works I can plug. I'll probably do Shaye Saint John for Works that Need a Page (Uncanny Valley), Submachine for Non-English Works (Polish developer, Paranoia Fuel) and American Murder Song for Creators (death).

i may just do Junji Ito for Creator Spotlight instead, but if i do end up doing Amigara Fault that's probably what ill do.

Tried to think of some possible sponsors while in the shower; far as I remember none of these works have had sponsor plugs yet:

• The Hex Girls; don't think we've ever been sponsored by a band but we could joke about them going on tour or something.
• The Late-Night Bite, which is that sub-shop run by vampires.
• The Ghostbusters... self explanitory
• Monster's Inc... also pretty self explanitory
• Bates Motel, which I think I pitched last year too.
• Fenton Works, where they make ghost-hunting tech.

I'm just spitballing, there's so many options for Halloween sponsors.

Alright, changed my bio. Looked at all of yours and my most surprised takeaway was that ~The Mayor of Simpleton is a guy???

I'm gonna hunt for tropes. This'll be fun.

I also thought of Halloweentown, Nerve, Umbrella Corporation, the Little Shop of Horrors and The Stanley Hotel. I probably had more written down that I forgot about.

The only one I'm unsure of there is Halloweentown, but only because I'm not sure an entire town can be our sponsor... also it makes me think of the Disney franchise more than the animated movie

Yet another possible one comes from Neopets, which is actually what gave me the inspiration for the sponsor segment in the first place — the Haunted Fairgrounds.

I like Monsters, Inc. best, though my suggestion of Umbrella is good too. I'd rather avoid Bates Motel and Stanley Hotel becase we already did a hotel for last year's Halloween.

e: also, Fernando, this is a nitpick, feel free to disregard. but i think the spooky bios work best if we just pretend they're normal bios. yours ends in an exclamation point, but i think it'd be funnier with a period.

It's based on a line from a work. I used an exclamation point because of the way it's said.

I don't mind the exclamation point, it makes it seem way more dire and intense than a period would. Like a legit The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You moment.

Found the source of Fernando's bio! "Confrontation" from the musical Jekyll & Hyde.

I was also tempted to write an Orc-tober themed bio, but I like this one more. Next year it is.

I had some other joke about becoming some sort of Eldritch horror, but I thought my current one was funnier overall. Just the idea of everyone attributing the contents of a random bloody note to me makes me laugh.

i might change mine again later, but i didn't want to leave it to the last minute and then not be able to come up with anything.

For this month, I'm choosing to write an entry about Extinct Animal Park for New Tropes.

Alright, I added Music.Gravediggaz to the Creator Spotlight. As a hip-hop fan, nothing says Halloween more than Horrorcore. (I'm not even a fan of that subgenre, usually, it's just so Halloween.)

Almost forgot about this, is that still on the table?
