Yeah, that's one reason I suggested you sort of just make folders as you go and don't worry so much about finding specific patterns.

I'd like to get a wick check done for Adaptation Personality Change and its subtropes, particularly Adaptational Heroism & Adaptational Nice Guy, which have been shoehorned for villains which still have no redeeming qualities, but lack particular damning qualities that the originals had.
I would go so far as to argue that Adaptational Villainy and Adaptational Heroism can be merged into "Adaptational Morality Adjustment" to account for such cases.
Thing is, this accounts for multiple tropes and I don't know how to go about it.

In the past, people have handled things like that a few ways, most obviously by just doing two wick checks on the same sandbox and comparing the results. You can also just do them separate and then compare, or only do one of them but then have a folder dedicated to overlap, either with specific examples being repeated or with examples that should go under a certain folder.

Can someone do a wick check for Girls Are Really Scared of Horror Movies? I feel like it's been misused for "girls don't like horror" and not "in a couple, the girl is the most scared", which is what the description seems to indicate.
If we broaden it to make it fit the former definition as well, then I think that would just make it People Sit on Chairs...

"Specific Pay Phone tropes" sounds like something the Salvage Yard coukd take, but the age itself... if it just describes a normal object, it's not a trope. Actually, I've seen Diary a lot recently and feel the same.

When I am dealing with a trope with a bad ZCE problem, I usually dump the examples that have some sort of meaning to them into a "Trope + Additional Context" folder.

I don't really know what to do with the trope, but maybe we could impose tighter standards on what counts? That's more of a question for the TRS thread though I guess.
