It's been discussed a lot at the Video Uploading
thread that a lot of poor videos are slipping through the cracks, and that a clean-up effort is necessary if we are to combat the problem.
Common issues are:
- Videos spoiling major events from a work
- Videos not actually fitting the trope they're attached to
- Videos in which the important part doesn't happen until halfway through, with the length being ultimately pointless
- Videos that use the entire work, breaking copyright; this can be done either with one video showcasing an entire short video, or multiple videos that add up to using the entire work in piecemeal.
- Videos lacking the proper media source, or any media source at all.
- General quality problems, like audio issues or artifacting.
So, we've got our work cut out for us; but this is at least a place to discuss problems and come to solutions.

The Alladin example from Attention-Deficit Disciple probably belongs on Actually Quite Catchy which is the same trope for musical numbers.

It's not a direct subtrope so a secondary trope would probably suffice. Except it's already on that page to some extent at least twice, so I'll have to remove it from all but one of those videos.

- The latest Imagine Spot example from Sunrise doesn't seem to fit the trope. Imagine Spot is for quick cutaways. Longer sequences like this one are just a Fantasy Sequence.
- I don't see Fake Video Camera View demonstrated by the latest example from S.W.A.T. (2017). The trope is not just "video footage is shown". It's about using fake elements like a timer in the corner or the blinking record icon to make the footage believable. Nothing of this is present in the example.

If anyone has recently uploaded this video named "Sponge Bob Square Pants" in "Everybody Laughs" Ending, I feel like personally it’s unclear if it’s the ending of the episode (I know it is but still). Also, that video name needs changing.

I thought about that before approving it but went for it because it does show a cut to black after the final shot, which I think most people could tell indicates the episode ending.

The X-Men '97 example for Title Sequence is somewhat zoomed towards the left, cutting off a portion of the right side. This is best shown with the Marvel Animation logo at the beginning being too close to the right when it's fully shown, and Morph's title card cutting off the 'h' in their name.

Hmmm, it's a bit subtle but definitely noticeable, so is it distracting enough to pull the whole video and ask for a centered reupload?

Update (April 30, 2024): I've decided to provide a re-upload myself using the sourced YouTube video. I did change the primary trope to Introductory Opening Credits (like with the video example for the original X-Men: The Animated Series theme) and made Title Sequence a secondary trope, while also adding the Recap page for the first episode as a media source since the show uses Evolving Credits. I added a notice to the description of the re-upload to let mods know it's meant to replace the original off-center video example (I'll remove the notice if the re-upload gets approved).

"Barney's Cousin" (How I Met Your Mother, Surprise Incest) and "Chris and Meg hook up" (Family Guy, Surprise Incest) are both windowboxed and have unnecessary hard subtitles.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.
The uploader has since been bounced, so asking them to do a quality upgrade themselves is out. But if anyone uploads better quality versions, the current versions can be rejected.
