Bringing this up again, since when it was first discussed there were conflicting answers, but what about Costume Evolution? Would that fall under character pages or the work page?
CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsCostume Evolution is about a character trait
Character Specific Page cleanupAre attacks (ex. Sword Beam and Attack Its Weak Point) character tropes since I see them sometimes in character folders.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AI guess if it's a consistent part of a character's combat repertoire
Character Specific Page cleanupSo, for example, a character has an attack that involves them shooting a Sword Beam is a character trope (especially if the character is from a video game)?
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ASo, on the wider Death Tropes topic...
Killed Off for Real and We Hardly Knew Ye are typically only relevant to a character once, but in a pretty significant way.
As they're things that happen to a character, not things about who they are, do we still count them as character sheet tropes?

Someone re-added this trope I removed from the Guardians of the Galaxy character page
- All Webbed Up: When Mantis encounters Peter Parker in Infinity War, he mistakes her for a hostile alien trying to lay eggs in his body so he covers her with webbings to immobilize her.
Are “X but Y” (like Simple, yet Awesome) tropes character tropes?
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AAlmost always no.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Mrph 1: Killed Off for Real, probably.
I question how a character for whom We Hardly Knew Ye applies is important enough for their own section. If we barely knew them, how many tropes can they have?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI'm sure they may reappear in flashbacks or something, but yeah for the most part they wouldn't have enough to warrant a section.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessPopping in again for Comically Missing the Point and Meaningful Look and its subtropes.
CMtP, I imagine, is one of those that can fall into either, depending on how often a character does it.
I imagine the answer for Meaningful Look will also apply to most of its subtropes. I think Death Glare is an either/or depending on frequency, but I'm particularly interested in Held Gaze, Longing Look, and Long Last Look.
ETA: Also, would Abusive Parents be moved to the parent(s) folder(s) if they have one, or does it stay on the child's folder?

CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsA character only needs a couple tropes to qualify for a section, so it's entirely possible.
Meaningful Look (and subtropes) are almost never going to be character tropes. Death Glare can at least be a recurring thing.
Should Adaptation Tropes relating to a specific character be sent to the character page? Adaptational Name Change specifically in this case.
From Valor (being cleaned up so it's about the actual work of that name instead of a cross between it and the character in general). Would this be under Legion of Super-Heroes: Silver Age or Legion of Super-Heroes (2020)?
- Adaptational Name Change: In Legion of Super-Heroes (2020), his name is also really Mon-El, but unlike Supergirl, where the similarity to the House of El is a coincidence, this is because he's a 31st century descendant of Superman.
Can DLC be character tropes? Because browsing Characters.Trails Series, it seems to be a recurring thing, mostly in regards to character costumes.
Alright, I'll remove any example of that on character pages if they are listed as a trope.

She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ANo. It's added content to a game, which isn't a character trait.
CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsOn the "Barbaric Bully" page it states that the trope is "on it's way to being discredited". It also mentions that the trope is still truth in television in the UK because of Values dissonance. What does that mean when it said value dissonance makes this an omniscient trope in the UK? Does this apply to any other countries too. If so please list them.
Should Awful Truth entries be on character pages or work pages?
The entry triggering my question is this, which is on the Big Bad's character page, but is entirely about how the heroes responded to a secret the Big Good was keeping. While it's about the in-universe belief that Salem is an Invincible Villain because of her immortality, the trope Invincible Villain is already listed on her character sheet as an in-universe example. It doesn't seem correct to place it under the Big Bad, so I'm trying to decide whether it belongs under the Big Good or on the work's main page.
- Awful Truth: While Salem herself, a magic-wielding human who can control Grimm, is upsetting in her own right, what makes her this trope is the fact she is completely immortal; even if you do vaporize her, she will simply just come back after a certain amount of time. It's this piece of knowledge that tends to be what leads to a Despair Event Horizon in people and what ultimately makes the heroes (temporarily) turn on Ozpin.
That belongs on the work page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Should Too Dumb to Live be on character pages?
EDIT:I don't feel that's a character trope so I agree with.

Does "The Reason You Suck" Speech belong on the character pages or the work pages? A troper has moved one example from one RWBY character sheet for being a story trope, but hasn't moved any other examples from any of the other character pages (there are many). I'm therefore not sure whether to move the other examples off the character pages or put the single moved example back on the character page it came from.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Given how often it gets shoehorned onto the recipient's page, I feel we should just put that one on work pages and get it over with.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I agree it should default to work pages.
In the past, I also moved a bunch of "dialogue" tropes such as "The Reason You Suck" Speech into the main work pages from the character pages after discussing it with other tropers in this thread.
It's one of those dialogue tropes that require at least two people (sender and receiver) anyway.
However, the How to Create a Character Page was updated on October 2022 to include "The exception is when an action is a recurring character trait; those can be put on the character sheet and explained as such."... so maybe, it could only be justifiable adding it to a character's page if they happen to constantly give out "The Reason You Suck" Speech to many people they meet?
With Great Power, Comes Great Motivation
Due to the Dead is a narrative trope, I believe Big Damn Heroes is as well but I'm less sure of that.
I think it was agreed that all death tropes (minus They Killed Kenny Again) are narrative tropes, so it should be removed again (and I'd double check it wasn't removed form he recap page as well).
