All Purpose Resident Evil Fanfiction Thread

This thread is for all fanfiction based on the Capcom franchise Resident Evil or Biohazard if you're based in the Asian region.

Anything from story ideas to crossovers are free for the taking. Post some links for your stories/stories out there that you find interesting to read.

For starters, I wrote this fic based on the entire Resident Evil 4 story, though it is a character-based crossover with a few OCs, so expect lots of characters and some (maybe) series/franchise-based plots from some other series, although they are minimal.

Sharing this one shot I made to gauge interest on a potential fanfic that centers on the outbreak in Raccoon City with just. Umbrella's own security forces, including those from the movie and the Gaiden games.

I'm finally able to get back to fanfic writing and starting to get my works off hiatus.

I came up with a few ideas regarding Neo-Umbrella persisting after Carla Radames' death in the following posts: [1] [2] [3]. What do you guys think? Plausible? What other ideas can you think of?

In this case, kinds of ideological Neo-Umbrella are, well, at best treated as The Friend Nobody Likes by the very amoral guys, the ones who did bad things for The Mafiya. The ones who can embrace them is the likes of Nurgle followers.

In the other hand, the more pragmatic ones can basically become BOW mercs, selling products for unscrupulous people who just want his enemies or perceived enemies to be deader than dead. These guys tend to be, simultaneously, less dangerous in short term (BOW dealing isn't exactly the safest job in the world, and lack of proper facilities (because they most likely using clandestine facilities, with all that entails, so any incompetent and/or unlucky will get cleaned Darwin-style), but get more dangerous in long term, since every survivor will and should learn the rope fast or dead. And successful survivors can just simply retires and leaving his old job to someone else, probably another assistants, who potentially more reckless... but with better tools and safety net.

Or you can just goes into more Well-Intentioned Extremist or simply The Atoner mode, which using their expertise to basically help others, or improves humanity in less overt manner. A bit engineering here, a bit additional genes there....

After all, zombies and bio-engineered monster and monstrous superhuman is cool and all, but they tend to attract a lot of unwanted attention. An adorable, normal, cute looking little girl with Mr. Bear in her hand, in the other hand....

Update.

I updated "Hostage Rescue" with a new chapter.

I used to really love this fanfic series about Claire and Wesker falling in love.

Now that I look back to it, they were messed up.

I really can't get over that idea.

I mean, why of all pairings?

Irony, perhaps? Claire is the little sister of one of Wesker's two archnemeses, after all.

What I really want to know is if there are any fics that incorporated Jill's unnamed and unseen boyfriend from early in the series... it was mentioned that there was a guy on the police force she was dating, right?

Well since Blue Umbrella made their debut in the RE 'verse circa 2007, anything with whatever adventures they got before and after Chis got seconded to them makes a good story.

I've considered writing some Resident Evil fics based on the early games for the PSX.

Might even make them period pieces set in the 90's and I would probably include some of the early weirdness from the setting such as the ridiculous backstories of some of the STARS members and some of the weird stuff from the Wildstorm Comics that were released back in that era as well.

Basically it'd be a fic written in the style of the early RE fanon from the 90's.

There would be a lot of canon divergence, particularly in regards to the games released after Resident Evil 3 and the first Gun Survivor.

Say, has anyone written an RE fanfic in which one of the canon Hero Protagonist characters gets infected by one of the zombie-creating viruses and goes through a Face–Monster Turn that leads them to become the transhuman/posthuman harbinger of their own Zombie Apocalypse scenario? Having read a series of (largely NSFW) comics with a sort-of-similar premise as their common theme^note They all deviate in that none of the infected heroines complete the Face–Monster Turn process, if they even started on it; the worst case among them all (in terms of how bad her condition had become by the end), namely Sherry Birkin (her strain of the G-Virus was reactivated by Neo-Umbrella's scientists during her and Jake's captivity in RE 6's events), actually pulls herself from the brink in the finale and effectively "kills"/silences her Enemy Within in the process (she ends up a quadruple amputee with third-degree burns all over her body, but her still-existent Healing Factor guarantees an eventual full physical recovery)., I'm itching to see a fanfic that takes the premise to its logical conclusion.

Finally did the new chapter.

I've been considering a random fic that is kinda a resident evil fic, but inspired by the events of Project X Zone 2.

For those who haven't played, it has Chris, Jill and Leon in it (the former two as a paired unit, and the latter as support), but due to Timey-Wimey Ball, Chris and Jill are from Revelations while Leon is post Resident Evil 6.

At the end, once the day is saved, all the heroes get together and have a party at Morrigan's place to celebrate. The idea for this fic is that Leon, Chris and Jill are debating on whether they should take advantage of the fact that they have a chance to prevent of number of BOW incidents via Leon's knowledge of the future and Chris and Jill's position in the timeline.

At the very least they have a chance to prevent a large number of the deaths caused by the incidents in Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Damnation, and Vendetta. The incidents in 6 and Vendetta especially are some of the worst bio terror attacks perpetrated on US soil, and possible the worst zombie incidents since Racoon City itself.

The thing is, I'm not sure if it really fully counts as an RE fic considering PXZ's Crisis Crossover nature.

So I checked FF.net and there's a grand total of 6 stories with this idea in mind. I really think the two worlds mix together pretty well, barring Aya's superpowers from her Mitochondria. And even that isn't so crazy since some of the different virus strands have given people super powers.

I'm kinda still on my Parasite Eve / Resident Evil crossover idea.

I'd forgotten that the events of PE 1 and the first three RE games take place very close to each other.

The first Parasite Eve game happens in 1997, but in Christmas of 1997. Specifically, the events begin on Christmas Eve and ends on the 29th, only a few days before New Years.

In contrast, the events of the first three Resident Evil games happen with in months of each other (the first game is in July, and 2 and 3 both take place two months after that in September). As I understand it Code Veronica happens only shortly after Claire escaped Racoon City, and is still in 1998.

Hell, if they took place in the same world, there would only be a few months between the Eve incident in New York and the destruction of Racoon City. It would be easy to claim that maybe Hans Klamp from PE was former Umbrella, or that maybe the group who are creating ANM Cs in PE 2 are a rival company to Umbrella (perhaps whoever the hell it is Ada is working for) who learned about the NMC incident in New York and opted to pick some of Hans data so they had their own products on the table.

My friend is writing a fanfic called The Supermen, which is a Resident Evil/DC Comics crossover. I created a trope page for it: The Supermen. My friend asked me to promote this fic as they would like some constructive criticism, and they've found that even people who favourite or follow the story don't often leave reviews.

It is post RE 5 and will eventually be an MVC 3 prequel. It involves Wesker (just about) surviving RE 5, and ending up in the DC Universe. Will apparently contain lots of action, sarcasm, appearances by many DC characters (the number of heroes who could appear was limited by a forum challenge but several villains will appear), plotting and scheming, and what I personally think is some quite interesting characterisation (especially with the interactions between some of the characters). And while only one chapter is up, another 4 have already been written and more are planned, so it's not going to be left hanging.

Would just like to state that the second chapter of the fic is now up. Constructive criticism would be appreciated, as would contributions to the trope page if anyone is interested.

For some reason I have this weird idea about S.H.I.E.L.D. calling in a favour from Tony Stark to investigate Racoon City due to being suspicious about what's going on there (they've been keeping an eye on Umbrella, and may have even learned a bit about the original Arkalay Mountains incident).

So Tony flies in and finds actual fucking Zombies, and naturally does pretty well at first. Maybe he runs into Jill, at some point and fights Nemesis and it tags him with it's Rocket Launcher, and or he fights one of the bigger Mutants. Whatever the case, while he's got the firepower to take them out quickly, his amor gets damaged and he has to continually call in new ones as the threats escalate in a game of Rocket Tag. He's almost invincible in his armour and can take out even some of the nastier enemies quickly, but he keeps getting caught off guard by just how varied the T Virus can be. Things conspire that maybe due to his presence, Jill never gets infected by the T Virus and perhaps they all meet up with Claire and Leon, and then G-Birkin comes onto the scene.

Final scene is Tony in one of his last armours (maybe an old one that still has good armaments and protection, but lacks a good battery) alongside Jill, Carlos, Claire and Leon vs G-Birkin, Mr. X, and Nemesis and any other crazy mutant T-Virus creatures in a nutty melee where Tony has to carefully ration his more powerful weapons due to not being sure just how much the creatures he's dealing with can take.

And that's my stupid idea....come to think of this, I should put this on the fanfics only you think are a good idea thread as well.
