This is the thread to use if you feel that the page image itself is good but the caption needs help.
If you think that both the image and the caption are poor, please make a thread in Image Pickin' for the page, and we'll work on the image and caption both at the same time.
As with other TRS and IP threads, please state your reasons and make your case in your first post. Don't make the other posters spend time trying to pry it out of you.

I'd say so.
(Annoyed grunt)Revert. It's basically saying the same thing, but the new one gives me, like, "Oh my god The Jonkler is soooo scary!" vibes. It's less punchy.
Just reverted it, citing this thread.
Silver and gold, silver and goldI actually think the changed version is more punchy to be honest
Disagree, keep the reversion
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI actually kind of like the changed version, if only cuz the two-sentence version of the original is less punchy (and "the American way" bit feels corny, though maybe that's the point, especially if meant as a Superman allusion).
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I like the original version, but without the second sentence.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.For Prematurely Grey-Haired I suggested:
"Having most of your family brutally murdered in front of you messes with your head in more ways than one."
Following ~Willbyr's suggestion of reworking the old caption but the thread timed out. Just was wondering if people think it works or if I need to make the first pot hole more succinct?

Maybe "Seeing most of your family murdered"?
"Seeing most of your family brutally murdered messes with your head in more ways than one."
Yeah that does work better (I've left brutally in because he and his family were also tortured the murders weren't quick)

Any more opinions on the Crash 3 caption?
Edited by Tylerbear12 on Dec 1st 2023 at 2:38:48 PM
I like 3 on on that one.
Spin-Off Babies is a chained sinkhole, okay to rework to this?:
"This is why Alan Moore doesn't want us to have nice things."

I think either the second or third quote works, but I'm leaning on the latter.
Looks good to me. I also support your suggestion at (x3), though I would replace the link Tragic Backstory with a Dark and Troubled Past one. Granted, that is a small nitpick on my end.
Would you all say the caption to the image on Take That! is complaining (EDIT: or is it just being self-demonstrative)? If so, should it just be removed? (For the record, I'm aware there's a thread for removing stuff like complaining.)

Ah will do, thanks :)
You're welcome.
Hooked a crowner for Supernaturally Marked Grave
For Referenced by....Gundam, I thought the following could be a funny caption
If all else fails, use fire.Does the caption need an explanation? Because I found a caption like this in The tearjerker page of Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show. Spoiler warning.
Also found a long caption in Simple, yet Opulent.
So keep or not?

“What is that? It's The Unknown!”Hartman Hips' caption is potholed to Stacy's Mom, but wouldn't it make more sense to Fountains of Wayne since it is quoting their song. Like this:

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadTrue. to potholing it to Fountains of Wayne.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectOkay changed the pothole to them.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadCalled the crowner for Supernaturally Marked Grave as the winner's hit super-consensus; it's added and tagged.
I think the caption in Creator.Shigeru Miyamoto is a pointless reference.
I'd like to apologize for all this.
Someone recently changed the caption on Even Evil Has Standards from:
to:
I should revert, right?
