Today I found out an interesting fact from troper Ironeye:
Don't ever make the mistake of using the Laconic version as the canonical trope meaning—the laconics are often written by people who don't actually understand the drop. In this case, the laconic only corresponds to one possible cause of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy.
The Laconic Description for DIAA states as follows:
The thing is, these descriptions are supposed to make it easier to understand what the page is about. If they can't be accurate as well as short and sweet, then there's a problem.
So for starters, what would be a better description for DIAA?

Laconic.Meta Twist: "A plot twist that's a twist not because of the story, but because of circumstances surrounding the work's genre, author, or role in a series."
That's a bit mouthful and sounds like something about Trivia when the page description doesn't say so. Suggestion:
"Subverting own franchise's/genre's formula to everyone's shock."

last year about Creator.Monty Oum's sub-pages. I assumed the Laconic was okay, and no-one told me differently. Someone else in the ATT thread cut the other sub-pages, but left the Laconic.

Had a look at recent cuts. Apparently Creator.Danielle Steel used to have laconic but was also cut for the reason "A laconic for a creator". So, apparently, creator laconic subpages can be deleted.
