For a list of bad laconics, see Sandbox.Pages Needing Better Laconics.
For generally accepted guidelines for laconics, see Sandbox.Laconic Wiki Template.
Today I found out an interesting fact from troper Ironeye:
Don't ever make the mistake of using the Laconic version as the canonical trope meaning—the laconics are often written by people who don't actually understand the drop. In this case, the laconic only corresponds to one possible cause of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy.
The Laconic Description for DIAA states as follows:
The thing is, these descriptions are supposed to make it easier to understand what the page is about. If they can't be accurate as well as short and sweet, then there's a problem.
So for starters, what would be a better description for DIAA?

Swapped out Agony 2018 and Read Or Die, due to approvals.
Checking out Sandbox.Ayumi-chan... Laconic.Bayonetta 3 seems to be the easiest?
Currently: "Bayonetta in the multiverse of madness."
Suggestion: "Bayonetta vs. bioweaponry trying to reduce the multiverse into a single universe."
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I meant for which one I like the most. For the record, I feel both of them are good, though I change that One-Man Army pothole to One Man Armies.
Laconic.Meta Twist: "A plot twist that's a twist not because of the story, but because of circumstances surrounding the work's genre, author, or role in a series."
That's a bit mouthful and sounds like something about Trivia when the page description doesn't say so. Suggestion:
"Subverting own franchise's/genre's formula to everyone's shock."
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup“A twist on a series’ expected formula or traditions.”
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?Aren't Creators not supposed to have any subpages? Because Creator.Toshiro Mifune has a laconic subpage, among others. Should they be cut?
How is this laconic for God Is Good?
I see nothing in the description naming or suggesting Top God, just a God (though it neglects to bring up a case where multiple are present).
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIf it helps, I asked a similar question last year about Creator.Monty Oum's sub-pages. I assumed the Laconic was okay, and no-one told me differently. Someone else in the ATT thread cut the other sub-pages, but left the Laconic.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Re: Hyrule warriors. I changed the laconics to the one Living Drawing suggested.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AHad a look at recent cuts. Apparently Creator.Danielle Steel used to have laconic but was also cut for the reason "A laconic for a creator". So, apparently, creator laconic subpages can be deleted.
Laconic.Skeleton Knight In Another World today gained a Chained Sinkhole.
Yeah, that sounds good
Does anyone have any suggestions for Gagging on Your Words? Normally I would just make the Laconic, however, I'm unsure how to write this particular one.
“A character struggles to say something they’re averse to saying.”
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last? That looks good to me. Would it be ok if I make a Laconic page with it? If so, would it also be alright if I replace "A character" with "Someone"?
Here are some more Recycled In Space laconics from my sandbox
- Babylon 5
The Congress of Vienna IN SPACE!!
- Batman Ninja
Batman and his family fight a bunch of his villains after time travelling to FEUDAL JAPAN!
- Battle of the Planets
- Battlestar Galactica (1978)
- Because News
British Panel Game ON CANADIAN RADIO!
- Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!
Recycled In Space (literally) Mission Pack Interquel revolving around the surprisingly complex Start of Darkness of a previous villain.
- Brimstone Angels
For Batman Ninja, just removing In Space pothole (and un-capslocking) would be enough, it's a bit misused and that's effectively the premise.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
What do you think of my suggestions?
I changed all the laconics with the execption of Battle of the planets cause I don't feel that laconic works.
Edit: changed Because News

She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AHere's a hopefully better version then:
Is this a better laconic for OMORI?
It looks great to me. Also, what do you think what I suggested here?
This site primarily deals in fiction so I think character is fine.
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?
Those are laconics for two separate games. Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. With Age of Calamity that Laconic is technically a lie since the game an alternate timeline where the Great Calamity is averted and not actually a prequel but I don’t think spoilers are allowed.
