This is the template for a Laconic Wiki page.
Consult with the Laconic Description Improvement forum thread before changing an existing Laconic page.
Short summary.

General advice:
- The purpose of a Laconic page is to give the basic idea about the subject at a minimum time.
- Reading a Laconic doesn't count as understanding the subject.
- Brevity Is Wit.
- Try to summarize the trope/work in a single sentence.
- Clear, Concise, Witty still applies.
- There can be only one Laconic. Do not add "OR" with a second Laconic, settle on one.
- For pages that share names and require disambiguating, multiple Laconics and Unabridged Links can be placed if they're visibly separated and indicate which page they apply to.
- Try to keep wicks in the summary to a minimum or zero, explain in simple terms.
- Avoid Sinkholes, do not pothole phrases that don't verbally match the tropes or to stealthy hint at something out of context.
- All-Blue Entry is forbidden as it's effectively unreadable.
- The unabridged section (the stinger) can be modified to make it funny and personalized to the page.
- The return link must remain clearly visible.
- Per this crowner, Character Sheets (Characters/), Indexes (Main/), Creators (Creator/), Administrivia/ and Recap/ cannot have Laconic subpages.
Exclusive to work pages:
- Focus on the core premise of the work.
- Note any unique aspects. A work may be a Cliché Storm, but the Laconic has to be written in such a way that it can't apply to any other work.
- Sometimes more than just the first episode/chapter would be needed to adequately describe the work.
- The work having no story doesn't mean it can't be described, you can still mention the genre and visuals.
- Don't mention Audience Reactions or other real-world fame the work may be known for.
- Try to not reference other works unless it's a derivative work, readers normally aren't supposed to know one work to understand another.
- Do not use X Meets Y or Recycled In Space format.
- Do not use spoiler markup in the summary.
- Do not add info that comes out after any mid-plot twist.
- Try to avoid mentioning the First-Episode Twist.
