[up] Done.

Royal "We"'s quote is as follows:
"KNOW YOU that it is Our will and pleasure that the Victoria Cross be the highest decoration for according recognition to persons who, in the presence of the enemy, perform acts of the most conspicuous gallantry, or daring or pre-eminent acts of valour or self-sacrifice or display extreme devotion to duty:

AND WE DO ordain that the award of the Victoria Cross shall be governed by the Regulations set out in the Schedule.

IN WITNESS whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent."
CHARLES THE THIRD, by the Grace of God King of the United Kingdom and His Other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth

Now, I know that this decree has been the page quote for over a decade, but there's far pithier on the quotes page. Thoughts?

"Only kings, presidents, editors, and people with tapeworms have the right to use the editorial 'we.'"

Who invented the Royal "Me?" We!

Random thought: If media specific subpages can have their own images, would the same apply to quotes?

[up] Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but don't media subpages have their own quotes (assuming someone has put up one)?

[up][up] and [up]I think so.

Because it seems to be getting buried and I think enough time has passed (EDIT: it's the 24th where I live at the moment), I would like to bump my suggestion.

The quote on Babies Ever After doesn't demonstrate the trope, which is how the end of a story reveals that the main character(s) won't simply be happy ever after, they'll have a happy family life forever after.

Current quote:

"A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world."

I had a look at the quotes pages, and there aren't many choices. The best option is this:

Liara: So, tell me what you want. If this all ends tomorrow, what happens to us?
Shepard: I don't know. Marriage, old age, and a lot of little blue children?
Liara: You just say these things!

But that quote only expresses someone's desire for this trope to happen and it doesn't tell us whether the trope actually does happen. So, the only thing I could think of was the following. It's two quotes about the same subject, but I list them both because the second one is clearer that there's a story ending involved. Unfortunately, they're both a little long.

'Oh, incidentally, congratulations on your daughters.'
'Daughters?'
'Small, female children. They're devious, but they're prettier than sons, and they smell better.'
'How many?' Garion asked breathlessly.
'Quite a few, actually. I won't tell you the exact number. I wouldn't want to spoil any surprises for you, but when you get back to Riva, you'd better start expanding the royal nursery.' There was a long pause. 'Goodbye for now, Garion,' the voice said, and it was no longer dry. 'Be well.' And then the voice was gone.
— Garion and the Prophecy, The Malloreon, The Seeress of Kell

'It's all over now. I think I'm going to miss it—at least I will just as soon as I get caught up on my sleep.'
'It has been a little hectic for the past few days, hasn't it? I suppose that if we put our heads together, we can come up with something exciting to do.'
'I know what I'm going to be doing,' Garion told him...'I'm going to be very busy being a father.'
'Your son won't stay young forever, Garion.'
'Geran isn't going to be an only child. My friend up here in my head warned me to expect large numbers of daughters.'
The Malloreon, The Seeress of Kell

So... I think the choices are a short quote that discusses, but doesn't confirm, the trope, or a quote that confirms the trope but is much longer.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

ehhh, even if the current quote doesn't demonstrate that it's the ending to a story, it does demonstrate the idea that having babies is considered a happy conclusion to the struggles in one's life, which is an important aspect of the trope. the suggestions are much too long and focus more on the literal meaning, i think. i'm not attached to it or anything but it's the best of the options so far.

Doctor Whomage’s quote doesn’t describe anything related to the trope, and it’s from the same source as the image. Permission to cut? There’s no quotes subpage and I can’t find anything in the examples list, so it might have to be cut without a replacement sad

[up] I agree, you can cut that quote.

The reference to that line being the page quote should also be removed from its example bullet, further down the page.

[up][up][up] Agree w/ all of NoUsername's points. The current quote still captures the heart of the trope and is more succinct than the other choices.

[up][up] Agree to cut. I don't see how the quote demonstrates the trope at all w/o knowing the context.

Here are some suggestions for Doctor Whomage:

Once upon a time, there was an alien called the Evil Renegade who used to kidnap people and carry them off through time just to see what would happen. The Evil Renegade was proud of his reputation, as a reckless, dangerous adventurer who'd run away from his people and was quite happy to spend his whole life running. To prove to everyone how fearless he was, he challenged just about every other race in the universe, and he never lost, because he was as much a criminal mastermind as he was a mad scientist.
Dead Romance, by Lawrence Miles

"I went through a rather elaborate bit of business to achieve a very small result. Cheering up a little girl, charming, delightful and sad though she was, doesn't seem to be enough explanation for — well, it was a fairly major operation in time engineering, now that I come to face up to it."
Professor Urban "Reg" Chronotis (Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, by Douglas Adams)

"We are four billion years in the past," said Reg in a shaking voice. "Please don't ask me why it is that the phone works when we are anywhere in the Universe other than where it's actually connected, that's a matter you'll have to take up with British Telecom..."

[up]x5: I agree that the first one is the best. The second sentence is not as necessary, so can we make it:

"Once upon a time, there was an alien called the Evil Renegade who used to kidnap people and carry them off through time just to see what would happen... To prove to everyone how fearless he was, he challenged just about every other race in the universe, and he never lost, because he was as much a criminal mastermind as he was a mad scientist."

[up][up][up]: Agree that that quote isn't clearly connected to the trope at all. Vote to pull.

A quote I considered a while back for "Reborn as Villainess" Story, from Rewriting The Villainess.

"Villainesses always meet a tragic end after everyone turns against them...but then they get a second lease on life through some absurd chance. Maybe readers like seeing these villains change their ways to be loved by others and lead a happy life instead."
(It's from episode 36.) There's some surrounding context I've transcribed, but I don't know if it would matter much.
Liza: Why do so many characters travel to another universe? That's so cruel of these authors! Do they even consider how difficult life is for the people they throw into these new worlds? And why is it that so many of these characters are so-called villaineses?!
Mina: I think that's just what's popular with the readers these days. (quoted section appears.) They want the villainesses to be be genuinely happy in the end, even if they're just fictional characters.

Old duplicate quotes I noticed a while back:

Suggestion for Doctor Whomage:

Constable: Blimey, Inspector, where have we wound up this time?
The Inspector: The question, Constable, isn't where... but when?
Constable: Inspector, look out! Blorgons!
Blorgons: ERADICATE! ERADICATE!

The quote on I'm Not a Hero, I'm... doesn't clearly have anything to do with the trope (such as it is)

Suggest replacing it with the top of the Quotes tab:

"I've never really thought as myself as a savior, I just want to fight strong opponents. But I can't just stand by and watch innocent people and animals suffer. That's what my grandpa taught me."

For Accidental Innuendo, I'd like to propose a quote that actually lampshades the nature of the trope, rather than one that vaguely leaves it to interpretation if not for the note attached to it, as well as seeming more like a case of Have a Gay Old Time.

Basil: Question is... what would he want with a toymaker?
Critic: I mean... what kinda "toys" does he make, exactly?
Ratigan: Oh, I love it when I'm nasty!

[up]x5: The quote proposed for "Reborn as Villainess" Story sounds like an inversion of the trope: the character is initially a villain and then gains redemption (and it's not clear if this redemption includes death), rather than the character dies and then is reborn as a villainess.

[up][up][up]: Both suggestions look good!
[up][up]: Agree w/ ~nrjxll, I don't see how this quote demonstrates the trope

Since Flashback and Infallible Narrator have the same quote ([up]x6), I recommend for Infallible Narrator this quote from The Muppet Christmas Carol. It's currently the quote for Narrator Tropes, but I think it would work better here:

Rizzo: How do you know what Scrooge is doing? We're down here, and he's up there.
Gonzo: I keep telling you — storytellers are omniscient. I know everything.
Rizzo: Hoity-toity, Mr. Godlike Smartypants.
Gonzo (turning towards the fourth wall): To conduct a proper search, Scrooge was forced to light the lamps.
[The window lights up from the lamps]
Rizzo: How does he do that?

The current page quote for Fantasy Counterpart Culture doesn't include a real-life cultural counterpart. I recommend replacing it with this one from the Quotes page:

Count Dookû: Sacrebleu! Ah am telling you, Palpatine, 'e eez up to somezing.
Obi-Wan: Why is he talking in a French accent?
GM: It's just to indicate that he's from a different culture. He's not French French, he's—
R2-D2: Space French.
GM: ... Yeah.
