This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Regarding the Officer Koon note one, what if we used label-note to further clarify it for anyone who isn't entirely clear on it? Still less reading involved than the current Ironic Name quotation.
Eh, I'd rather have a self-explanatory quote that doesn't require external explanation to be understandable. If we are to replace the quote on Ironic Name, I'd prefer the SAO quote from the subpage. The pothole needs to be removed, of course, but it works fine without it.
The current page quote for Backed by the Pentagon claims to be a Defied Trope, but BBTP is trivia and you can't play with trivia items.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Help me sort the three on Quotes.Everythings Better With Princesses into other pages?
Captain Capacitor: ... and you've already met Princess Bula.
Bob: Is she really a princess?
Captain Capacitor: No! You want to tell her different?
There was once a little princess who—
"But, Mr. Author, why do you always write about princesses?"
"Because every little girl is a princess."
"You will make them vain if you tell them that."
"Not if they understand what I mean."
"Then what do you mean?"
"What do you mean by a princess?"
"The daughter of a king."
"Very well, then every little girl is a princess, and there would be no need to say anything about it, except that she is always in danger of forgetting her rank, and behaving as if she had grown out of the mud. I have seen little princesses behave like the children of thieves and lying beggars, and that is why they need, to be told they are princesses. And that is why, when I tell a story of this kind, I like to tell it about a princess. Then I can say better what I mean, because I can then give her every beautiful thing I want her to have."

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Light Feminine and Dark Feminine has a quote with censored swearing. As far as I know, it's not allowed on our wiki. Only in cases if the work itself censors it as well in written form, like actual subtitles or written dialogue in comic bubbles etc.
The quote was actually swapped, and I happen to find the former quote better.
I'm not sure if it was discussed here before. I hope I'm not repeating something that was discussed before.
CURRENT:
FORMER (which I prefer):
The former quote actually makes a point of showing them together as women who are paired together.
Someone who swapped the quote actually forgot to change it on the index of sources; that's how I find it was changed.

Agreeing with all your points.
Well, a redirect for No Lewdness, No Prudishness, is TV Tropes Is Not Censored, so make of that what you will...
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I remember one mod post, probably on TLP, that censoring swear words is actually a thing that can get one suspended. Because we can use swear words if it's justified. So if one — either a creator of a work, or you as a troper — feels that a swear word should be used, then use it. Briefly, shit is okay, sh*t or $#*! is not.
Even putting the censorship aside, I agree that the former quote is better. The other makes it sound more like a Love Triangle, or something else that the trope isn't about.

I'll swap the quote. Thanks for your feedback.
To be fair to the example, the trope description specifically says rivals for a love interest are okay.
Another page with two quotes: WebVideo. That Dude In The Suede.
Definitely feel the second one can go.

It's been a month since I proposed these quotations. When could I expect some feedback on them?
Rule of thumb: if you don't get any responses after three days, just go ahead and do the thing.
Page quote in Nouveau Riche is unindicative. Nothing in the dialogue suggests the character in question is rich (you don't have to be rich to buy furnitures). The first example in the subpage fits better, I think.
Seconded. The Bully quote is WAY better.
I guess the idea of the current quote is that old money inherited their furniture. XFllo, I don't see why it has to be censored in written form; if the work bleeps it out and there's no uncensored version, we can use asterisks or Symbol Swearing.
Keet cleanupDone and done. Thanks!
The line is from a film, so unless the speaker was actually using angrish or this appeared in text (very unlikely), this was the troper replacing a word with symbols.

Does this quote from Late Export for You seem kind of complainy?
Yeah, there’s way too much focus on the guy’s hate of SAO. It makes the point of the late export, which is what should be focused on for a quote for that page, seem like the sidenote.
SoundCloudPage quote on Drake of the 99 Dragons is from a negative review.
Pull?
Done.

What should we do with it? Do we get a new quote? Or just leave it quoteless for now?

The Leeroy Jenkins Video had recently gotten a quote from Star Wars.
If it was a quote from a reviewer or the like, I could understand, but in this case I feel it is stretching...
Besides, I'd have sworn this page had Leeroy's last phrase as a quote... "... At least I have chicken."

What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Are there any objections to switching the quote on Wooden Stake, like I suggested in this post?
Let's just say and leave it at that.
