Can anyone provide context for these examples on Expy.Animated Films?
- Wreck-It Ralph:
- Ralph himself is basically a human Donkey Kong.
- Felix is an imitation of Mario (or, as he was called back in Donkey Kong, Jumpman). He even does the animation when Mario loses a life in Donkey Kong at one point.
This is on Anime & Manga:
- Neon Genesis Evangelion is plagued by a document called the "Red Cross Book", which is full of information that's, at best, not backed up by anything in the anime, and at worst, outright nonsense. Two of the more ridiculous claims concerned the character of Ayanami Rei and were eventually promoted to canon in the third Rebuild of Evangelion movie (which doesn't take place in the same continuity as the anime).
The example tells literally nothing about the informations found in that book and why they're supposedly "ridiculous nonsense".
The best character is always the one-shot disguise. If the document is in-universe, Word of Dante is misuse.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Nothing in the context suggests it's in-universe, the issue is a lack of description of the false information.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Anyone have a minute to spare for this page?
Podcast.Blake Skye Private Eye has a bit of a ZCE issue, but its character sheet is far worse.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAnime.Witchblade has a bunch of ZC Es I just commented out, on top of a bunch that were already commented out. The page is a mess when you check the source.
Then again, it was created in 2009, so issues are to be expected.
My troper wallHigh Stakes — as high as the ZCE content on the page itself...
Including one obligatory "the above screenshot is this trope" (goes dead)

Just saw this on Fantastic Slurs:
I've commented it out for now, but can anyone who's played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance fix this?
Note that Bangaa are also found in the Ivalice family of Final Fantasy games, including Final Fantasy XII

In what ways? Any feral cat experts here?

But how is it a deconstruction?

Hey, can someone comment out the Neko Atsume example on Recurring Fanon Character? London Kd S uncommented it without adding more context, and they completely ignored the PM I sent them about it. I commented it out the first time and don't want to risk an edit war.

Can these pages even be saved? Originally I was going to comment out stuff, but after seeing what appears to be The Great Wall of ZCE, and the edit history states the last update was in 2017 (save for some cleanup efforts)...

I'm fairly certain that any example that goes "[Trope]: See [other trope] above/below" is still classified as a ZCE on top of violating the "Don't refer to other examples for context" rule. One such example I deleted a while back was later readded and I don't want to get into an edit war over it. That's not the worst part, however. The worst part was that the edit reason given when the example was added back. "I don't think you know what a zero context example is", which is not only incorrect, it's also rude.

I commented it out and sent them notifiers for the zce and rudeness.
Also, it looks like they're the one who originally added the example, so they are edit warring.

Suspension given.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportDo these examples from Ant look like they have enough context?:
- Action Girl: Obviously she didn't have any fighting skills at the beginning, but that changed.
- Crossover: She's teamed up with Savage Dragon and Spawn.
- Fanservice: Justified in that Ant is covered in a skintight exoskeleton, like an actual ant, which shows off her entire body. The exoskeleton often sheds off like an actual ant, leaving Hannah naked.
- Male Gaze: One of the main criticisms of Ant is that there is just too much bootylicious art.
- Mind Screw: It is still unclear if Ant is just the imaginary persona by a girl in a psychiatric hospital, or she is an actual person.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Ant's suit makes her incredibly durable, but her outfit can be destroyed after taking significant damage.
- Power-Up Food: Ant can regain her suit by consuming sugar.
- Shes Got Legs: There are plenty of comic panels showing Hannah's feet when she's in her suit.
- Super Armor: Her Exoskeleton Variation, Hannah's exoskeleton is strong, but it breaks off easy. It can be reconstructed by Hannah consuming sugar.
Just comment everything out.
Like this one. Anybody have a few hours to spare for Nymphadora Tonks Goes to Hell? Or maybe just shred the whole thing since the last update was 3 years ago?
(Everything.... EVERYTHING is a ZCE or borderline ZCE. Even the Shout-Out ones is just, "This work references ABC, XYZ, JKL works." without explaining "'how'' the Shout-Out applies)

Fanservice is an index, not a trope.

"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”I do not think there are three examples with context there.

I actually don't know if it's barred from being used as a trope yet. I'm of the opinion it should be, though.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
