As I said on the recent discussion at the Observations about the site thread, my username comes from an XTC song, as I like that band and 80s alternative music in general.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallOof, mine is... a little embarrassing for me. It comes from one of those "your fictional x name" things that you can find by the dozen on social media.
It was "Your fictional Digimon name", and the formula was "first 3 letters of your last name + first 2 letters of your first name + mon", which for me was "Ferlemon".
I first started using that name on Facebook. Not long after, I realized that "Fer" is short for "Fernando", so I adopted that too.
I'd like to apologize for all this.EDIT: That came out wrong. I'm just going to erase my previous comment.

TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI have a rectangular cardboard box that I cut a flap in so I can see while wearing it and I spray painted it silver. It looked like a robot head for a crappy cheap robot so I always thought of it as the shell for a robot's head. I remembered it, so I made my username "CardboardBot". Legends say that it's still waiting for the rest of it's body to be made.
i like pink, and comedy is, well, comedy, so yeah. additionally, it's also a play on the term "comedy gold"
the extra e was just a mess-up
i can't believe nor even fathom that he visited his friend! the audacity!Crows are one of my favorite animals and Punk Rock is one of my favorite music genres. You do the math.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.Lucas is from this MBTI as characters picture, in which the INTP one (my type) is named Lucas. Da Kool is just "the cool".
Meow meow meow (I am just a lilβ hungry cat, I have nothing to do with a certain guy who hired an assassin)thought it sounded cool mainly. it's the name i plan to go by when i start making music
tell me of the flowers and their smells / anytime you're sick of waking up as someone elseI inputted my real name into the Wu-Tang Clan Name Generator (same like how Donald Glover got Childish Gambino) and got "X-cessive Menace" from it, and I thought it looked and sounded cool, though my username is spelled a little differently.
YAWK YAWK YAWK YAWKI play Juke's Towers of Hell.

Remind me to kill that annoying speakerI already have this on my Tropers/ page, so I'll copy and paste it from there:
I was a teenager at the time, so file it under one of many cases of usernames people came up with when young. (Also, the fact that it's been around 20 years since I first used this username makes me feel old.)

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. The Dissidia gods Cosmos and Chaos.
Intended to embody the Beware of Vicious Dog trope plus Super-Speed. Yup.When I created my account, I made up this username off the cuff just to make a quick edit and/or query (you can see how that went). "Cosmic" came from my interest in outer space, and "Cat" from my love of cats. There's a couple other usernames I use for most of my online profiles that are completely different, but I like the anonymity in having my TV Tropes presence not as readily apparent. Those accounts are more on the professional side, and this is my goof-off zone.
"Let's hear it for Nine Inch Nails! Woo, they're good!"Had a huge interest in The Last Promise. That, and Leet speak sounded cool.
MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesMine would probably be Exactly What It Says on the Tin. That said, it originally began as "futuremovieactor" on IMDb before I changed it there years before joining this site. Confusing to say the least since that's still my YT too.
This probably won't make any sense whatsoever, but...
My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. One night during a Discord call, he decided to do his own version of Radio Graffiti while using his best Ghost impression. One of the "callers" he made up was someone apparently called "The Ball Wizard". I have no idea how or why he came up with that name, but I found it hilarious. So, I decided to use that for my username here, although I changed "ball" to "sphere" just in case it was considered inappropriate.
I have absolutely no relation to that other pink, swirly-eyed virus guy.Copy-pasted from another thread:
I like Umbreon
When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it's filled with a mysterious power.Iβm Canadian, and I like the surname McDuck, so blammo.
Discombobulate.
Anyone remember The 39 Clues? That series used to have a website (that I think no longer exists, sadly) where you could scan in cards, play games, and just do lots of fun things within the universe of the books. I remember signing up for my account back in 2008, with the site telling me that I couldn't use my real name. Since I wasn't very creative I just added the similar-sound "Henry" to my real first name, and every since "Harryhenry" has been my go-to username, including on this site.
