YMMV / Flash-Gitz Animation

Go To

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Considering how it’s very subtly implied that The Furry Crusades takes place in an alternate form of the Warhammer 40k universe where furries exist, are the furries genuinely unaware that each time they have sexual pleasure, they are powering the Chaos faction? Or are they only pretending to be sex-obsessed idiots so that they won’t be suspected as much smarter beings who know what they’re doing in their attempts to destroy the galaxy?
  • Awesome Art: If you're a fan of their animations or not, you've got to admit that their artstyle is pretty detailed for a small group of two animators, especially in some of their more recent videos.
  • Aluminum Christmas Trees: Elon Musk, like Dan Harmon of Rick and Morty fame, actually has Asperger's Syndrome though not autism as Rick Sanchez does even as his caricatured self in Musk and Joey.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: In Furry Apocalypse, there a scene with a giant furry killing a Black Templar by picking him up and shitting him out, it appears out of nowhere, wasn't foreshadowed, and ends without doing much to the main plot.
    • After Sonic gets killed by Mario in Racist Mario, he gets catched in a pokeball by a rather creepily-behaving Ash. This scene serves no purpose other than to just be an odd joke that Crosses the Line Twice.
  • Broken Base: Polarizing, taboo videos are practically their bread and butter. Their style of caricaturizing and rather maliciously parodying different fandoms and groups clearly has a fanbase, but also pissed off MANY people in the process.
    • The July 2016 video TRANS-formers. While predominantly making fun of identity politics and cancel culture, some found it offensive and transphobic. In addition, some fans of the channel's earlier parodies did not appreciate the shift to politically charged satire.
    • While Racist Mario is one of their most popular videos, it's also a big target of criticism for these reasons:
    • Unsurprisingly their Furry videos get a whole lot of this, even in the fandom itself. Some just find them mildly amusing due to being used by the ludicrous amount of hate the fandom gets, while others find it slanderous, annoying and very outdated with its unflattering depiction of the fandom.
    • The Harry Potter Special Ed video got some flak for appearing rather outdated, as it was an honest-to-God Harry Potter parody in 2021 when the films ended in 2011. The main premise is the increasingly taboo source of humor that is mocking the mentally disabled. The division is likely expected by the creators at this point as the video still drew a large crowd.
  • Catharsis Factor: Mario’s death in Racist Mario is nothing short of satisfying as he deserved what was coming to him due to all the vile things he did during the course of the entire animation.
  • Crosses the Line Twice:
    • When Mario smashes the item box on Yoshi's head, Yoshi goes from his normal cute voice to screaming "OH MY GOD! AAAAAAH!"
    • When Ash captures Sonic, he just randomly takes his clothes off and grabs his nipples.
    • This line while Santa Claus whips Rudolph. "Even those Godless Israelis can see us now, my boy!"
    • The Rick and Morty parody starring Joe Rogan and Elon Musk ends with an abort joke with a Fetus in a Tube.
  • Genius Bonus: Some of the fallen Black Templar in Furry: First Contact are named for animal drugs, particularly Brother Ivermectin.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: When Elon Musk saves Joe Rogan and Marshall from getting executed by the Twitter Mob due to now being the owner of Twitter, he gives Joe the permission to use the N-Word. In Real Life, the usage of the N-Word spiked by 500% upon Elon's aquisition of Twitter.
  • Heartwarming Moments: In "The Fate of all Weebs", after being placed back into his coma-dream and seeing that he was placed on the brink of death after causing the Astral Express to derail, someone who grew closely to him holding onto him and begging for him not to die while another member is desperately healing him. This causes the weeb to go back into his body and come back, realizing that the crew really does care about them. When he's told that they always will, regardless of if he finds his waifu, he remarks "I think I better put that on pause for a while...", apologizing as they all go into a group hug.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Remember that "Space Marines inside Space Marines" line from Inside GW? Well...
    • What Happened to Crazy Conor McGreggor becomes this after January 2020 where Connor managed to K.O. his opponent Donald 'Cowboy' Cerone in 40 seconds.
    • The 2016's video on TRANS-former became somewhat of a foreshadowing on Nightshade from Transformers: EarthSpark, who use they/them pronoun.
    • Relating to their own animations, Mario’s cameo in the first episode of their Console Wars series ends up being more funnier when the ending of an later episode involves the Nintendo Switches raiding Xbox, killing most of the Xboxes, and stealing all of the Xbox fanboys. Guess he did end up kicking their ass one way or another.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
    • Mario was already batshit insane in Racist Mario, but he crosses it when Luigi pleads for him to stop, saying "We're brothers!", but Mario just says "I have no brother." and murders him anyway.
    • In Animal Crossing: Tiger King, Joe Exotic has about four tiger villagers run a train on Bianca to try and get her pregnant, only for Bianca to reveal she's barren. So, what does Joe do? Drag Bianca out into the woods and shoot her. While she's visibly panicking and begging for her life.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Has its own page here.
  • Shallow Parody: Their spoof of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power replaces "rings" with "pronouns" for no other reason than to do the usual "too many genders" gag. While Rings of Power does have a reputation for being openly progressive, at no point in its run was there ever any acknowledgement of a gender spectrum.
  • Tear Jerker: A very subtle one in The Furry Disease, although Strongfang’s "The Reason You Suck" Speech is nonetheless terrifying, he lets out a single tear upon mentioning “outcasts with no dad to play catch with”, implying that Steven (Strongfang’s former self) never got to see his father. This only makes you feel more bad for the poor guy as not only he was unwillingly turned into a furry, but his previous life wasn’t really all that great to begin with either.
