"The fancanon where everything is possible"

FNAFNG is an Alternate Universe of Five Nights at Freddy's created by Mexican artist Nahomi Gómez, better known as Namy Gaga.

It takes creative liberties with the franchise's lore, with the main idea being that characters that were once animatronics are now living, sentient beings. However, critical events such as the Missing Children Incident still happen here.

The entire series can be found on Namy's DeviantArt gallery. A playlist featuring speedpaints and other bits canon to the AU can be found here.

In 2022, a mini-movie titled "Circus Show", which details the AU's version of the events of Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, was released. It can be found here.

FNAFNG provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Name Change: Each example is Downplayed, as the canon names still show up as their nicknames, but their real names are much different.
    • Freddy Fazbear is known as "Frederick".
    • Bonnie is known as "Bonnibel".
    • Chica is known as "Chicarelly.
    • Fredbear/Golden Freddy is known as "Fred Bearson".
    • Toy Freddy is known as "Bearnard".
    • Toy Bonnie is known as "Bonnifacio".
    • Toy Chica is known as "Stacy".
    • Mangle is known as "Lisa".
    • Balloon Boy is known as "Carlos".
    • Circus Baby is known as "Brenda Sebastian".
    • Ballora is known as "Roselle Fournier".
    • Bidybab is split into two people: "Bidy" and "Babe".
    • Minireena is split into two people: "Minnie" and "Reena".
    • While "Elizabeth" is still her name, her full name is "Mary Elizabeth Afton".
    • Glamrock Freddy is known as "Sebastian".
    • Glamrock Chica is known as "Cindy".
    • Roxanne Wolf is known as "Wendy Wolffer".
    • Glamrock Bonnie is known as "Kris".
    • The Daycare Attendant is split into two people: Sunny and Moonuel.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Thanks to Adaptational Backstory Change, the Marionette is an Official Couple with Springtrap, as Marianna was previously in a relationship with Spring Bonnie when the two were alive. In canon, there is no such relationship due to Cassette Man's daughter being one of William Afton's victims.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In canon, the Marionette was possessed by the Cassette Man's daughter. Here, she is possessed by an adult woman named Marianna.
  • Adaptational Gender Identity:
    • Mangle's gender is intentionally left ambiguous in canon, while she is female in the AU.
    • Spring Bonnie's gender is not stated, while he is male in the AU.
    • Funtime Foxy's gender is not explicitly stated, though the AU explicitly confirms that they are non-binary.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In canon, William Afton is a serial child murderer with little to no redeeming qualities. Here, he's a jovial, pleasant person who genuinely loves his daughter Mary.
  • Adaptational Species Change: Every character that was an animatronic in canon is now a living creature. Freddy and his friends, for example, become anthropomorphic animals, while creatures like the Marionette are called "Slimers".
  • Adaptational Sexuality: While there is no indication of each character having a defined sexuality in canon, FNAFNG gives them a sexuality by virtue of them being sentient, organic beings.
    • Brenda, the AU's equivalent of Circus Baby, is bisexual.
    • Roselle, the AU's equivalent of Ballora, is antrosexual.
    • Stacy, the AU's equivalent of Toy Chica, is pansexual.
    • Chicarelly, the AU's equivalent of Chica, is demisexual.
    • Bonnibel and Bonnifacio, Bonnie and Toy Bonnie respectively, are both gay.
    • Rolland, the AU's equivalent of Funtime Freddy, is pansexual.
    • Funtime Foxy's orientation is not specified, but they are attracted to men, as they're dating Funtime Freddy.
    • Fred Bearson, the AU's equivalent of Fredbear or Golden Freddy, is asexual.
    • Bearnard, the AU's equivalent of Toy Freddy, is aroace.
    • Marianna, and by extension the Marionette, is bisexual. Before dating Spring Bonnie (and by extension, Springtrap), she had an ex-girlfriend named Rosali.
    • Brianna, the AU's equivalent of Scrap Baby, is a lesbian.
    • Vanessa, and by extension Vanny, are both pansexual.
    • Charlie Emily is demisexual.
    • Mary Elizabeth Afton is a lesbian.
  • Adaptational Sympathy: In canon, William Afton is an unrepentant serial killer who brutally murdered at least six children by his own volition. Here, he was brainwashed by Shadow Bonnie into murdering several children and is shown to have no memory of what he did afterward.
  • Affirmative-Action Legacy: The next-generation of the Fazbear Legacy is comprised of five girls: Bearennicenote , Carolnote , Sarahnote , Enigmanote , and Daniellenote ), and two boys (Kristiannote  and Paradigmanote ). Of them all, three of them are openly LGBT, with Carol being bisexual, Enigma being pansexual, and Danielle being a lesbian, and Enigma and her twin brother Paradigma are rabbit-Slimer hybrids thanks to their mother's dark magic allowing her to conceive them as her biological children.
  • All There in the Manual: Almost everything there is to know about the series in detail is on Namy's DeviantArt account.
  • Babies Ever After: After the 1993 location closes down, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy all decide to settle down and raise families of their own. Freddy's and Foxy's children are biologically related to their parents, while Bonnie's and Chica's children are adopted.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Zig-zagged with Funtime Freddy/Rolland. Normally, he's seen as the jokester of the group, always telling jokes to his crewmates. However, when controlled by Ennard, he becomes bloodthirsty and willing to harm Brenda.
  • Beary Friendly: The Freddys are very kindhearted when performing on stage, and they're definitely nice when off stage.
  • Becoming the Costume: During "Space Furries", or the AU's version of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, Vanny's costume will sometimes give her the ability to morph into an anthropomorphic bunny rabbit depending on how strong Glitchtrap's hold is on her.
  • Becoming the Mask: During the events of Space Furries, Brianna was sent to work at the Mega Pizzaplex by Shadow Bonnie in order to spy on the people working as entertainers. However, after developing a crush on Vanessa, she soon embraced her new calling as a Glamrock Baby, genuinely loving her job and falling in love with Vanessa.
  • Composite Character: Shadow Bonnie, Ennard, and Glitchtrap, while all separate entities in canon, are one and the same in the AU.
  • Daddy's Girl: Mary loved her father William when she was alive, and her loss devastated him greatly.
  • Decomposite Character:
    • Circus Baby and Scrap Baby are not the same person in the AU. Circus Baby was a girl named Brenda Sebastian, while Scrap Baby was created out of Brenda's trauma and personified, taking on the name "Brianna".
    • The Daycare Attendant is split into two people: Moonuel, who talks to children about the night, and Sunny, who talks to children in the day.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Originally, Funtime Foxy was envisioned as a male character. This was soon Retconned into having their gender be ambiguous, and finally have them identify as non-binary.
  • Eye Scream: During the tragedy of Circus Baby's Pizza World, Brenda loses an eye during her fight with Ennard. Almost 40 years later, her eye is still missing and she has not gotten treatment for it.
  • Half-Breed Discrimination: Due to Paradigma and Enigma being rabbit-Slimer hybrids, they were often bullied when they were children and treated as outcasts.
  • Lecherous Stepparent: Inverted with Brenda and Roselle. When Brenda came of age, she no longer considered Roselle to be her adoptive mother, and she became attracted to her as she grew up. When Roselle came back to Earth as an ethereal being, Brenda admitted to her that she liked her in a way beyond familial love. Unlike most examples, however, this is actually portrayed positively, with both Brenda and Roselle living life as a happy couple.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Kris, Bonnifacio and Bonnibel's adoptive son, is a musical prodigy, able to play the guitar since he was a child. He later joins the Pizzaplex Glamrocks as Glamrock Bonnie.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Enigma is very outgoing and brash, unafraid to speak her mind, while Paradigma, her twin brother, is very shy, not one to hold a conversation with others.
  • No Name Given: Whatever full names the Rockstars have, they're not revealed on the official reference sheets.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Funtime Foxy is only known as "Foxy" by their crewmates. Their real name is unknown.
  • Original Character: Various characters solely exist in FNAFNG without any analogues in canon. For example, Brenda's adoptive daughter Danielle does not exist in the canon games.
  • Together in Death: In the final part of the FFPS arc, Marionette and Springtrap make the tough decision to remain behind when the fake Freddy's location burns down, but not before saying goodbye to the children they adopted.
