Mystery of the Pumpkin Castle is a Minecraft map. The protagonist is a detective named Vivian Hanson, who receives a call one day from a man named Jim Dour, who wants her to investigate the people of his home, Crepuscule Town, being kidnapped and taken to the Pumpkin Castle. Agreeing to help him, she finds the town suddenly appears outside her house... totally deserted.
This map contains examples of:
- And Your Reward Is Clothes: There are a few collectable masks that serve no purpose other than to look cool.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: If Jim Reaper wins, you will have your soul sucked out and be turned into an undead soldier... and have your name legally changed to Jim.
- Attack Its Weak Point: To kill the Jim Reaper, you have to destroy his 4 Hearts.
- Early Game Hell: The early stages of the game when you're being constantly swarmed with enemies but have very limited supplies is definitely the hardest part. Once you get more equipment and healing items, things start easing out.
- Flunky Boss: The Jim Reaper sends his minions after you, but compared to the rest of the map, his arena is positively sterile.
- For the Evulz: "Because I'm the Jim Reaper, you dumb broad. That's why."
- Hard Levels, Easy Bosses: The map is extremely hard, with a confusing layout, a shortage of items, and loads and loads of powered up monsters swarming everywhere. The final (and only) boss might just be the easiest part of the whole thing.
- Mission Control Is Off Its Meds: Jim Reaper, who is constantly chatting with you, and also taunting and threatening you.
- Multiple Endings: You can either become the new Jim Reaper, or reject the role and free all the (not exactly nice) townsfolk.

Nintendo Hard: Lots of really tough enemies, little equipment, no mercy. - No Ontological Inertia: The town and all its people are returned to normal after the Jim Reaper dies.

- There are quite a few to Soul Eater.
- Also, one of the books was apparently written by Doopliss.
- Significant Anagram: All the gravediggers' names were spelled using the same letters in different orders, except the last.
- Weird Moon: The moon has a face, which constantly sports an evil-looking grin that makes it look almost identical to the one from Soul Eater.
- Weird Sun: After winning, a smiling Sun comes up.
