  • In cross-era multiplayer, young Leia will wonder where she went wrong with Kylo.
  • Also in cross-era multiplayer is Anakin confronting Vader. He'll react to the Dark Lord of the Sith with anything from confusion, denial, and horror. Vader on the other hand talks to Anakin knowing himself to be the young Jedi's inevitable fate.
Anakin: No... no, no, no, NO!!!
Vader: Only one fate awaits you. You cannot stop me.
  • The achievement for striking enough kills with Tallie is titled "Everyone Goes Home", referring to the Resistance numbers being shred down to a handful of survivors, with everyone else being unceremoniously killed off. Tallie and numerous other members of the Starfighter Corps are killed in the first act alone, some without a chance to fight back. But at least here in Battlefront II, you can save your comrades this time so that everyone really can go home; your achievement is proof of that.
  • The game manages to make the destruction of the Death Star II somber by showing the reactions of Inferno Squad, who were on the ground of Endor when it was destroyed. For the Rebellion, the deaths of Darth Vader and the Emperor along with the destruction of the Empire's most powerful weapon was a galvanizing event that brought hope to the oppressed galaxy. To the Imperials however it was the final death blow to the Empire they'd dedicated their lives to and a true Hope Crusher.
  • Inferno Squad splitting up on Vardos.
  • Iden and Del offhandedly mentioning that Lothal is still under Imperial control, meaning that despite the efforts of the heroes of the then-airing Rebels television show, the main setting was likely never liberated during the Galactic Civil War or even during the events of the Rebels show. On the other hand, Del hopes he can see Lothal again when the Galaxy is at peace again, meaning that Lothal could be saved one day. Becomes heartwarming when the series concluded, revealing that yes, Lothal did get liberated, and has been rebuilding since, which is why Del wants to return to Lothal.
  • In the What Could Have Been lines for the Vardos level, passing by a certain area causes Iden to note that she used to go to an Imperial school there, but now it's gone and all of it was for a Broken Pedestal.
  • At the end of the Battle of Jakku level, Iden infiltrates the crumbling Eviscerator in an attempt to get her father, but rather than being mostly out of intent to arrest him, she does it to try to save him. When she finds him staying in the bridge while everyone else is fleeing and the ship is about to crash, he isn't angered by her presence and merely remarks about how his life's work has led to this, before urging her to leave him and live a happy life. It's almost like when a dying Anakin urged Luke to leave him and thanked him for redeeming him...
  • Del being mind-raped by Kylo Ren in the epilogue and subsequently being executed by Hask. The conversation between the two shows that Hask is deeply hurt by Iden and Del’s betrayals. He’s especially angered at Del who he thought had let him down. And even as Del calmly accepts his own death, he still begs Hask not to go after Iden and their child, not because he’s worried for their safety, but he’s worried that Hask will get himself killed. Despite everything, Del still cares for his old squadmate, which makes it all the more tragic when he receives no mercy in return.
    • If Hask chose to leave with Iden and Del, he could’ve been happy. He could’ve been an uncle to their daughter. But instead, Hask didn’t even have the Admiral by his side anymore. He lived a lonely life on the run without his brothers-in-arms and witnessed the Empire devolve into something worse. Alas, Poor Villain.
  • In the Resurrection DLC, Hask blames Iden for taking away his only family — the squad.
  • At the end of the ‘’Resurrection’’ DLC, we have a brief happy moment when Hask has finally been killed and Starkiller Base has been destroyed. Iden and her daughter Zay share a moment of relief together before Iden falls and has a Mortal Wound Reveal, revealing that she had been shot by Hask. It’s a long and heart-rending moment with the once fearless Iden admitting that she’s scared and Zay tearfully insisting that she will be okay before coming to terms with the fact that her mother is dying. They exchange a tender moment and a Dying Declaration of Love before Iden, fading from consciousness, says her mysterious but beautiful Last Words:
Iden: I wish you could see what I see.
  • While playing as Yoda in multiplayer, one of his idle lines is "The Younglings at the temple, I miss." This is somewhat sad and heartwarming when playing in the Clone Wars-era maps, but it takes on a whole new heartbreaking meaning if you're playing as Yoda in an Imperial-era map.
