Equipment

Nearly all of the game's Main and Sub Equipment are references to anime and other video games, with their Flavor Text making it more blatant. Here are just some examples, some of which were also in the previous game:
  • Boktai: Gun de Sol - Infinite
  • Borderlands 2: The Bee (HP/Defense/Mind +20%, increases damage done by 12% while HP is full; the shield has no amp drain and high amp damage in its source), Cobra Sniper Rifle

  • Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow: Kicker Skeleton's Soul
  • Cave Story: Booster v0.8

  • Half-Life: HEV Suit
  • Kirby: Copy Ability "Smash Brothers"
  • The Legend of Zelda: Violent Green Rupee (earns 4% more money), Piece of Heart (boosts health by 12%), Fairy "Navi"/Glowing Navigator
  • Mega Man Battle Network: Full Custom, Life Aura (reduces incoming damage by 8% of Max HP, and may rarely nullify incoming damage), Hub.BAT (MP +2, TP +2, Speed +210%, Defense/Mind +144%, Evasion +24, Fire/Cold/Wind/Nature Affinity +50; the last effect matches the four element types in Battle Network 2)

Bosses

  • Full Metal Daemon Muramasa: The Second Sun drops the Nodachi "Kotetsu", which is what the protagonist names his sword.
  • Kaiji: The Desire-Eating Demon has the appearance of "The Bog", and hits one target with Instant Death on every third action. It's guaranteed to drop Chinchirorin Custom Dice, dice carved from a T-bone steak with all sides displaying 1's from the finale to "Underground Chinchiro", when defeated.
  • Rance Series: Green Brute is based on Rance, the protagonist of the series.
  • Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne: King is based on the Demi-fiend
  • Super Mario RPG: The Crystal Guardian greatly resembles Culex, and summons four elemental crystals on its first turn, which repeatedly heal and buff the main boss until they're all eliminated. • Ys: Red Hero is based on Adol Christin, and his attacks have references to the games.
