Funny Moments for Schaffrillas's video essays sandbox

  • "Why Ratatouille is Pixar's Magnum Opus":
    • Schaff dedicates the prologue of the essay talking about his experience leaving college, and new view on his future brought forth by the growing popularity of his channel. Wholesome. He then proceeds to talk about his self-doubt regarding whether he is capable of creating something that will be remembered, which sets up the thought of how meaningful Ratatouille has become to him over the years. Of course he does Lampshade that the idea of a movie about "a french rat chef controlling a noodle-named, noodle-armed ginger man" having a profound message about the nature of human condition sounds quite silly out of context.
Schaffrillas: Am I out of my mind? Probably, but that doesn't matter.
    • Schaff takes a moment to gush about Michael Giacchino's musical work for the movie, starting with a list of other films he scored:
Schaffrillas: The Incredibles, Up, Inside Out, (shows an image of Miguel with Glowing Eyes of Doom, labeled "Miguel.EXE") Coco, (shows the poster for Cars 2) Yikes, never mind, I think his entire career has just been invalidated.
    • The moment Linguini is introduced, Schaff punctuates it with a screenshot of his editor VillagerBoy527 sending an altered image of YandereDev wearing a toque blanche with a rat inside over Discord.

    • At the end of the scene where Remy finds out about Linguini's lineage, the video cuts to Skinner opening the door, while Remy is seen holding the Smash invitation.
    • When Anton Ego arrives at the scene, "he warns Linguini about his impending callout post. Gusteau's is gonna be #CancelledForSure."

==> Begin a Homestuck namespace cleanup thread
Homestuck, despite being one of the more niche things talked about on This Very Wiki, is nonetheless extensively (and surprisingly accurately) documented here.

The namespaces, however, need a LOT of help.

All the Audience Reactions pages for the comic (Funny, Awesome, Nightmare Fuel...) have a ridiculous amount of issues, such as ZCEs, explaining with weblinks, Justifying Edits, and an overall lack of professionalism that is normally present on the main page. The Tear Jerker page also has a small issue with Natter.

In addition, all the links to the comic pages that are used correctly (on the main page, namespaces, and almost all the wicks) are dead, and in a serious need of updating.

Knowing how huge the work and its page is, there is no way it can be done by a single person, so I decided to start this cleanup thread.

Ken Ashcorp description - second revision

Ken Ashcorp (born January 3, 1991) is a British musician who primarily makes Fan Music for anime, video games, and cartoons.

Ken started his run on YouTube, uploading his first official song, "I Wish There Were Still Dinosaurs" on November 18, 2010, and began to gain following through the releases of his winning entry in the official 2011 BlizzCon fan song contest, "PvP", and "20% Cooler", his My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic-inspired track, which picked up steam quickly, especially within its fandom.

Ken has been confirmed to be closely acquainted with Nyanners, LilyPichu, Wonchomp, Egoraptor and Edd Gould, collaborating frequently with them in his earlier days, be it voice work, sound mixing, or short tracks for their projects. While he has been keeping in touch with the first three, it isn't known what happened between him and Arin post-2012.

In addition to his main, music-centered channel, he used to have an alt named ForeverPandering which existed parallel to his channel since February 14, 2011. Its content was less focused than his main channel, and it included voice gags, shitposting, song covers, shorter, less refined original songs, Caustic Criticism of early-2010s gaming, internet culture, and controversial creators like Tom Preston, and even Retsupurae-esque MSTs of ElectricalBeast and iJustine. In early-to-mid-2012, these videos accounted for most of Ken's viewership, being only outmatched by "20% Cooler" at their peak.

By mid-2012, ForeverPandering has gotten both a sizeable Fandom and Hatedom, which resulted in much stress for Ken, who didn't have a direction for the channel. In late 2012, he announced on his now-defunct Tumblr (linkhere) that he would be moving away from the channel, which sparked more vitriol, concluding in him deleting all the videos on the channel in October 2012, and the channel itself in February 2013. In the following years, Ken massively shifted his content and image. His music, while still popculture-inspired, became slightly more serious, and he would strongly cut down on web media appearances.

His March 8, 2013 song, "Absolute Territory" became a surprise hit very quickly after its initial release, surpassing the view count of "20% Cooler" by 2015, and doubling that amount by 2020. Since then, he would ...

Starting 2018, Ken's upload rate began strongly decreasing due to unspecified "personal issues". Following mid-2020, his channel went on a two-year hiatus as a result of COVID-19 Pandemic, in addition to his marriage and first regular job later on. He did, however, upload two short songs in 2022, announcing he will return to normal uploads in an unspecified amount of time.

"I guess it's time I started
writing the obituaries
Goodbye envy, goodbye sorrow
You were legendary
There's no time for being shy
When we're acting silly
Goodbye bad times, hello Lilly.

ForeverPandering was the YouTube alt of Ken Ashcorp, which existed parallel to his main channel for its beginning years. It started on February 14, 2011, and ended sometime in February 2013.
