Underworld Academy Overload!! (Soreyuke!! Makai Gakkou) is a manga spin-off of hololive and is a part of Hololive Alternative multimedia project that transplants the Virtual YouTubers characters into a fantasy setting. It's illustrated by Moroyan

The manga has been announced in October 2021, with a glimpse of the setting appearing in the hololive Alternative trailer. The first chapter has been released on May 12th 2023 on LINE (Japan-only) and internationally on holonometria on June 2nd, 2023.
It features Tokoyami Towa, Murasaki Shion, Yozora Mel, and Yukihana Lamy during their young days at the demonic Wizarding School, with Yuzuki Choco acting as their homeroom teacher.

- Always Night: The Underworld doesn't have a concept of a daytime, as it's always night.
- Audience Surrogate: As a New Transfer Student, Towa along with the readers get all the exposition about the academy.
- Chest Monster: In the second hapter Towa is bothered by a dog-like chest Mimic.
- Crash-Into Hello: Shion is introduced by crashlanding on her broom into Towa on her first day.
- Fantasy Kitchen Sink: Underworld welcomes "all shapes and spices". Among the background students there are a skeleton, a medusa, a dryad, a fairy, a beastman and etc.
- Flying Broomstick: Shion travels around on a broom, appropriately for a witch.
- Foreign Exchange Student: Lamy is said to be an exchange student from the Snow Clan.
- Good Angel, Bad Angel: In Chapter EX 1 Towa argues with two sides of herself if as a devil she should cause mischief to her friends or not. Ultimately she decides that seeing people smile is important.
- In Medias Res: The first chapter starts with Towa introducing herself to the class and the rest of the chapter shows her day before then.
- Mummy Wrap: Mel tries to apply first-aid bandages to Shion while they're waiting for the nurse and ends up nearly suffocating her after excessively wrapping her. Choco later completely wraps Shion into a clean and round cocoon.
- Neat Freak: Towa gladly helps with class duties and clears the Trash of the Titans in the prep room despite Choco specifically saying it's too bothersome and leave it be.
- Only a Flesh Wound: Shion doesn't notice her face is gushing blood after she crashlands. When specifically asked by Towa about it, she tells it's no big deal. Mel has to drag her to the nurse's office.
- Retired Monster: Choco gave up on her life as a succubus to become a homeroom teacher, but it's noted that she has a trigger that flips her behavior.
- Shout-Out: Shion's Holobus2000 is a reference to Nimbus 2000.
- Skewed Priorities: Choco scolds Shion for crashing into buildings and Towa while testing out her new broom, mainly because being injured would make her uglier. Towa comments that the priorities are kind of weird. Still, Shion does get punished by school's faculty.
- Token Human: Shion is noted to be the only human in the cast, being a witch.
- Truer to the Text: Compared to Holoearth Chronicles Side:E ~Yamato Phantasia~, which takes some liberties to incorporate vtubers into a fantasy setting, the cast of Underworld Academy Overload are already magic-themed and the Makai Academy has been a part of their "vtuber lore" for a long time.
- "Wanted!" Poster: In second chapter Shion escapes punishment for inviting students to witness her new spell that ends up exploding, so Choco puts wanted posters for her.
- Wizarding School: The Academy promotes absolute freedom of activities for students, as long as students attend classes, which makes hijinks and explosions a regular occurrence.
