    Pre-release
  • A giant figure is shown in the mist approaching Kong. As he lifts his axe prepared to fight, the figure starts to shrink significantly until what seems to be a child Titanus Kong is shown. Kong can only give what could best be described as a "What the heck?" reaction.
    • At the end of the trailer, the "mini Kong" as Bernie calls it is shown on a cliff doing his best to imitate Kong's iconic roar and chest pump. It's as hilarious as it is adorable.
    • In a French TV spot: Suko's reaction to a surprised and curious Kong reaching out toward him is to bite down on Kong's finger.
  • Suko the Mini-Kong proving to be quite a Pint-Sized Powerhouse as he takes advantage of the Hollow Earth's anti-gravity fields to fling rocks at Skar King's henchmen. Also doubles as a Moment of Awesome.
  • Trapper warning the Monarch crew to "try not to swallow your tongue" while entering the Hollow Earth portal. note
  • Elephant in the room (or rather, Godzilla in the room): Godzilla has evolved into a more powerful form, but he now has glowing pink eyes and dorsal fins. He makes it work.
  • The first trailer ends with displaying Godzilla's Evolved form and Kong (with his arm layered with mechanical armor) alongside him, as the two Alpha Titans start running side-by-side where its viewed in a completely over-the-top fashion. Godzilla especially comes off as hilarious, as if he's taking a brisk morning jog.
  • Contrary to the title, Godzilla and Kong are not on friendly terms. First thing Godzilla does when seeing Kong again is to blast him and the pyramids too, highlighting the Teeth-Clenched Teamwork of the iconic kaiju duo.
Trapper: They don't have to like each other, they just have to work together.
  • Adding to above, one of the trailers show more of what transpires during Kong and Godzilla's meeting in Egypt. Godzilla's first reaction to seeing Kong? Tackling him against the pyramids. What makes this hilarious is Kong's reaction, which was clearly saying, "Woah dude, chill! I ain't here to fight!"
  • Bernie Hayes, now a member of the new G-Team, has joined the crew into Hollow Earth. After being told by Trapper to not swallow his tongue while the jet flies into the portal he's seen jittering as if he's in a roller coaster. Needless to say, he did not take it well.
  • Kong punches Skar King so hard in the face in one scene that one of his teeth flies out and crashes into the street below. Said tooth is the size of a small car and blocks the incoming traffic on the street.

    Post-release
  • After killing many Wartdogs with his traps, Kong decides to scare the rest of the pack away by ripping one of them in half above his head to spill its entrails and blood all over himself while letting out a monstrous, frightful roar that terrifies the pack into submission. What stops this from being pure nightmare fuel is that Kong then smells himself immediately afterwards and winces at how much this move has made him stink and showers beneath a waterfall as soon as he can, after a sudden Gilligan Cut.
  • After managing to kill one of the pig-like Wartdogs, Kong hauls it up to his cave to eat, but is hampered by his broken and infected tooth which makes him wince in pain. And while he's distracted, who else should come along but the Ascended Meme Doug the Foetodon, who quickly tries to steal his catch! After a brief tug of war, Kong finally relents with an annoyed "Alright, fine!" expression, allowing the triumphant Doug to scurry away with a large chunk of the carcass.
  • Monarch assumes that there’s a horrific reason why Kong has come up to the surface, and are freaking out at Godzilla being alerted. Turns out Kong came up because his tooth was hurting THAT badly and getting it fixed was worth another potential beatdown.
  • Trapper replacing Kong's infected tooth while singing along to the song "I Got'Cha" by Greenflow.
    • Later on, When Trapper is providing the B.E.A.S.T. Glove and medical treatment, Kong noticeably flinches when he notices the man. Trapper simply shrugs and says, “That’s ok, everybody hates the dentist.”
  • Jia reassuring Kong that the prosthetic tooth "looks good."
  • Jia's excited fist pump when Ilene relents and allows her to come to the Hollow Earth with them.
  • When Ilene visits Bernie's apartment, he's recording a new episode of his "Titan Truth" podcast. Starting with a plug for "Gargantuan Insurance," a company offering specifically Kaiju insurance. "Because Godzilla may not care if he smashes your home, but Gargantuan does."
  • During Ilene's visit to his apartment, Bernie complains about having to contend with a particularly bothersome troll. Said troll's username? GhidorahStan64. Assuming the 64 is a reference to the user's birth year, this means Bernie's getting harassed by a very childish senior citizen.
    • Assuming instead that the troll is referencing the Nintendo 64, which came out in 1996, this means Bernie's getting harassed by a very childish middle aged Millennial or Gen Xer.
  • When Bernie is trying to convince Ilene to let him join the mission, he tells her he is "no stranger to danger." She just gives him an unamused look.
Bernie: Okay, I didn’t mean to rhyme that time…
  • During the scuffle with a trio of other apes, Suko attacks Kong. Kong demonstrates he won't kill a child, but he will use them as an improvised club. Cue the big guy bludgeoning his attackers with the younger ape.
  • When Skar King's lieutenant (One-Eye) is fleeing, Kong flings a boulder at him from far away, and actually manages to hit him with impressive precision. There's even a hilariously-cartoony "conk" sound, as if he were getting knocked over the head by a coconut, or that his skull is hollow.
  • When their pilot and only armed member gets eaten by a tree, Bernie is understandably freaking out. Trapper tries to calm him down by saying it's just the way things are, "nature red in tooth and claw." Bernie stares at him incredulously, before asking "A man just died, and you're quoting Tennyson?" Trapper tries to bring Bernie in for a hug, but Bernie pulls away, calling him a very weird guy. Crazy Conspiracy Theorist Bernie can't deal with Hippie-Dippy Circle Of Life Trapper. As they leave the scene, Bernie can be seen almost putting his hand on a tree, then yanking it back in fear.
Bernie: There's something really wrong with you.
  • Suko leads Kong into a lake, where Kong is attacked by a giant aquatic beast. Suko flees, thinking Kong's done for. Suko is proven wrong when Kong manages to throw his axe right in Suko's path, making the young ape trip over the handle and faceplant. The look Kong gives him afterward says "I trust you won't be trying that again?".
    • Just the hilariously menacing closeups of Suko's face as Kong wanders into the lake, clearly setting him up for a trap. The dissonance of an adorable child being willing to commit murder on his own kind is darkly amusing in its own way.
  • When Kong first reaches the lair of the Skar King, he stops one of the Skar King's enforcers from abusing a slave labourer who's too tired to keep on mining stone and is roared and yelled at by the enforcer for a hot minute before Kong interrupts the ranting with a swift punch to the face that knocks the ape out cold. The rant and punch is shot in a first person point of view perspective from Kong's eyes, adding to the meme-like quality of the sequence. It's basically the Kaiju version of "Talk Shit, Get Hit".
  • When Skar King's main lieutenant One-Eye first notices that Kong is inside the lair, he tries to inform him only to get shoved by one of the guards at the entrance of the throne room
    • When Skar King finally leaves his throne room he growls angrily at One-Eye for disturbing him.
  • Suko's facial reactions are particularly hilarious during the lair scenes, but especially one scene in particular when he holds his head in his hands and looks horrified at what might become of Kong if the giant ape arouses the attention of Skar King. The scene is meant to set up that Kong might be in mortal danger, but with Suko's big adorable eyes his horrified expression and overexaggerated body language can bring out a chuckle from the average viewer.
  • In the Skar King's kingdom, Skar King and his fellow apes all mock Kong and laugh at him... for having a prosthetic silver tooth. And the apes are only laughing because Skar King commanded them to, so basically Skar King was the only one that thinks false teeth are funny. For some unexplained reason.
    • Then, Kong repays that later when he knocks one of Skar King's teeth out. Kong's expression shows he sees the humor too.
  • While chasing Kong, five of Skar King's minions manage to corner him in a canyon. Said canyon is one of Kong's trapped regions, fitted with a tripwire which is set up to drop boulders on the victim. One-Eye notices the tripwire, and informs the other minions to step over it. However, when Suko triggers the trap himself, One-Eye turns back towards the tripwire for a moment in shock as if to say "HUH!? But none of us tripped the wire!"
    • A moment of Black Comedy too when he grabs another ape to use as a meat shield!
  • The Monarch team watches nervously as Kong investigates the B.E.A.S.T. Glove on his hand, Trapper noting he either will like it or rip it off with his teeth. Thankfully Kong approves of the device, which he made obvious by raising his gloved fist in the air, roaring in triumph and slamming the ground.
  • Trapper asks to take the H.E.A.V. to get reinforcements. When told there’s no time to go back to Monarch headquarters, he simply replies that his idea is much stranger than that. When Skar King and his army attack the Iwi area to get at the portals, Trapper arrives back leading the swarm of bioelectric titans from earlier, lightning dancing between them freely, yelling that it’s mating season. It doesn’t hold Skar King and his army off for long, but it’s a hilarious disruption.
  • Kong's reaction when Godzilla charges at him for a fight, which just screams "Dude, I ain't here to fight! Chill out!".
  • Kong tries to reason with Godzilla in Egypt, but Godzilla is too angry to listen and keeps attacking. Kong's Plan B? Knock Godzilla out with his B.E.A.S.T. glove, grab him by the tail, and try to drag him into the Hollow Earth BY FORCE. It doesn't work, either, but it's surprising that Kong was able to stun the King of the Monsters at all, given how decisively he overpowered him in their last two tussles, which is worth a laugh at how Kong clearly doesn't care about the power gap between them still when the chips are down.
    • One gets the impression that Godzilla's murderous rage was partially fuelled by Kong dragging him by the tail and making him look like a chump.
    • The most amusing part of this is when one realizes Kong's Plan B to get Godzilla to the fight was basically kidnapping him.
  • Mothra attacks Godzilla to stop him from fighting Kong. Godzilla's reaction is a mix of happiness to see his Queen's return, but also like a scolded child being made to say sorry.
    • The fact that one of Mothra's jobs as Queen of the Monsters is apparently being the diplomat who made alliances between titans.
    • One could also look at it as Mothra being a mother that's breaking up a pair of siblings fighting.
    • The body language of the Titans is perfection. Kong is surprised and shocked at Mothra's appearance, but anything that keeps Godzilla from murdering him (again) is a welcome respite in his eyes. Mothra is quite clearly scolding Godzilla for being a territorial jerk, and Godzilla looks away embarrassed, like he's thinking "Okay, yeah. I'm the asshole here."
  • Bernie awkwardly stares an Iwi guard in the eye after he's told that "eye contact" is a sign of respect.
Bernie: This isn't working for me.
  • Bernie freaks out about the Iwi wanting to live inside a "monster-infested hellhole." When he's scolded by his teammates and told that the Iwi, though silent, can understand everything else, he tries to save face by saying that "I'm sure a monster-infested hellhole is a wonderful place to raise a family." Bonus points on how he tries to say the last line unironically.
  • Kong tossing the Skar King at Godzilla, who bounces him back to Kong like a ball with a whip of his tail!
  • Shimo rubbing herself against Kong like a cat while Kong scratches her chin. Doubles as Heartwarming due to her finally being freed from her cruel master and choosing to serve the benevolent Kong by her own volition.
  • Kong and Godzilla smirking at each other after their ultimate victory.
  • Godzilla making the Roman Colosseum into his new house, sleeping there after he kills Scylla and returning there after Skar King is killed. That's right, Godzilla has become his own national monument of Italy! The Italian authorities aren't very pleased by this arrangement... but as Monarch points out, if not for Godzilla then Scylla would have flattened Rome so they kind of owe him, and there's not much they can actually do to get him to leave if he doesn't want to. The only ones who are likely pleased by Godzilla sleeping in the beloved monument are the Italian citizens and tourists if news reports are to believe, meaning tourism in Rome is about to skyrocket.
    • There's graffiti artwork of Godzilla wearing sunglasses and eating pizza before it gets crushed by Godzilla's Giant Foot of Stomping. As a bonus: right next to it, there's text that says "Punch! Punch! Punch!"
      • There's even artwork of Knifehead! This little detail gained a lot of fan attention online, ranging from hopes of a crossover to full-on Epileptic Trees theorizing.
    • Within the context of the story some humor can be found from the juxtaposition of Kong's story being an understandable emotional reunion of being with others like him that ends with him being the rightly crowned king of them…. While on Godzilla's end the adventure was essentially another day in his life that ends with him going back to sleep after a hard day's work.
  • At one point while he’s leaving Rome to head for Tiamat’s lair, an annoyed Godzilla nips and roars at a Italian helicopter that was getting too close, with a look that all but screams, “Buzz off, fly!”
  • Godzilla feeding on the nuclear power plants in France comes off as Hilarious in Hindsight given that French nuclear testing was responsible for the rise of a certain other American Godzilla.
    • Godzilla feeding on radiation looks almost like a reversed Atomic Breath. In hindsight, it makes his Atomic Breath look more like an Atomic Barf instead.
