    Pre-Release
  • Godzilla's new form just oozes this. The King of the Monsters not only continues to survive but grow stronger.
    • As shown in the official trailer, Godzilla seems to have been cocooned in ice similar to King Ghidorah. Assuming this wasn't inflicted by another force, we may have potentially been given insight into how Godzilla originally contained Monster Zero.
  • Just everything about Skar King as he drops down from above to what appears to be numerous Titanus Kongs who from their reactions indicate that our heroic titans are going to have their hands full.
    • If you look closely, Kong is standing among his brethren when Skar King arrives, and while they all look terrified in Skar King's presence, Kong doesn't even flinch.
  • The final shot of the trailer as shown to the right of Kong and Godzilla charging into battle together! Godzilla vs. Kong gave us a brief glimpse into what the two of them can accomplish working together, and now we are gonna see it fully realized!
  • Godzilla isn't the only one who seems to be getting an upgrade in the film, as Kong is shown to at some point in the film possess a giant gauntlet which might aid him in the battle against this new threat.
    • A new TV Spot shows Kong examining the gauntlet (revealed to be called the B.E.A.S.T.) glove before throwing his mechanical hand up and roaring triumphantly.
  • Kong in the second trailer apparently in a moment of Papa Wolf lays one hell of a haymaker on Scar King to protect Suko.
    • How powerful is the blow? It knocks out one of Skar King's teeth!
      • Later as shown in TV Spot, Kong knocks Skar King on his back with a drop kick!
    • Also it should be noted Kong used his unaugmented hand to land that blow!
  • Shimo uses its Ice Breath to blast Kong and Kong manages to grab his axe just in time to block the attack, though it ultimately results with the axe being disarmed as it was only designed for use to block Godzilla's Atomic Breath and not against Shimo's Ice Breath, causing it to be blasted out of his hand and fully render Kong's right hand permanently maimed. Our 8th Wonder of the world definitely hasn't slowed with age.
  • We're teased with only a taste of what Skar King can do in the second trailer, and his fighting abilities are just as frightening as it is impressive. Regardless of his highly aged and gangly appearance, he's (briefly) shown to be on equal footing with Kong. Best noticeable is when he wraps his boned whip around the hilt of Kong's axe and viciously yanking off the other end of his weapon to slice off traces of Kong's hand by drawing blood.
  • There's a brief moment that happens in the second trailer where after the B.E.A.S.T. Glove is operated and enclosed around Kong's arm, he looks amazed from what he is glancing at. Look closely as his amazement changes into that of a smile, which could convey that he's going enjoy using its capabilities.
  • Kong riding on the back of Godzilla! What more need be said?
    • How about the fact its so Kong could launch himself through the air towards Skar King, who is similarly leaping towards Kong as Shimo and Godzilla barrel towards each other in a mirror of opposing forces?
  • The second trailer shows Godzilla will still utilize his classic blue atomic power, presumably before his transformation; not only that, but he's able to unleash the nuclear pulse without Mothra's help!
  • And speaking of Mothra, guess who makes a Blink-and-You-Miss-It cameo reflected in Jia's eye in the second trailer? The Queen of the Monsters is back, folks. As it turns out, she's the one to put an ancient end to Godzilla's and Kong's rivalry by stopping their fight in Cario, Egypt.
  • In on of the sneak-peeks, Kong is shown crossing a bridge made of some titan's ribcage in the Hollow Earth, with Kong absolutely dwarfed by the sheer size of the bones. Some people calculated that only the ribcage was around 4 kilometers long. Just how big the titans can get in Hollow Earth? That dead Titan's full body could as well be taller than Mount Everest!

    Post-Release
  • Kong demonstrates his resourcefulness by peppering traps around his home. He scares off the last three beasts chasing him by showering himself in gore and roaring instead of engaging in a straight-out fight.
  • The first battle in Rome between Godzilla and Scylla, who has defied Godzilla's authority and attacked innocent people. Unfortunately for her, she faces the full consequences of her insubordination, and ends up like Femuto with an atomic breath right through the mouth, causing her head to explode in a disgusting gooey mess.
  • Godzilla demonstrates that he isn't always forgiving and will kill. Scylla got her head blown apart and Tiamat sliced apart by his powered breath. Side material has shown those two weren't always accepting of his rule, so Godzilla was understandably tired of their crap by the time they decided to get uppity.
  • While it is a darkly hilarious moment (for Bernie) and visual one, the Hollow Earth Aerial Vehicle (HEAV) going through a Hollow Earth portal, while Trapper is setting the mood with Twilight Zone by Golden Earring, is nothing but awe-inspiring to watch.
  • Upon entering the Subterranean Realm, Kong is lured into a trap where three apes (and Suko) try to beat and kill him with his own axe after he is held down. Kong quickly breaks himself free and proceeds to pummel the other apes and even uses Suko as a club against them. When one of them almost falls off a cliff to his death, Kong pulls him up to safety…only for the Ungrateful Bastard to try and stab Kong, leading to Kong kicking the ape off the cliff to his death anyway in response to that.
    • And while despite being shocked to encounter more of his kind, Kong makes it very clear in whooping their ass that this won’t deter him if they come at him first.
    • When one of Skar King's goons tries to flee, Kong flings a boulder at him from far away, and actually manages to hit him with impressive precision, even if it only stuns him momentarily, no doubt a scene lifted from The Incredibles where Mr. Incredible threw a similar size vehicle transporter at a duo of mooks.
  • Suko leads Kong into a lake, where Kong is attacked by a giant aquatic beast. Suko flees, thinking Kong's done for. Suko is proven wrong when Kong manages to throw his axe right in Suko's path, making the young ape trip over the handle and faceplant.
    • Kong's reaction to all of this? A few glances and eye rolls that basically say "Well, that just happened. Most bothersome. Anyway, let's keep moving." Being attacked by a giant killer eel barely even garnered a reaction from him!
  • Once Kong makes it to Skar King’s lair and witnesses one of the Mooks abusing a slave Titanus Kong. He helps them up and when the Mook attempts to intimidate Kong, Kong knocks him out cold in one punch.
    • In doing this Kong already shows who’s the better King between him and Skar.
    • After he downs the guard, Kong beats his chest once and gives a sharp roar as if to say "Anyone else got a problem?".
  • When Skar King appears, it causes all the other apes to kneel in reverence and fear. Kong, however, defiantly remains standing. When Skar King begins menacing Suko and his caretaker, Kong can be seen reaching for his axe, ready to defend these innocent apes that he barely knows.
  • The fight between Kong and Skar King. In the first few minutes of the fight we get to see that, despite his advanced age and more lanky physique, the Skar King is very much a match for Kong as he uses his whip and incredible agility to run circles around the relatively young ape titan.
    • However when he tries to choke out Kong with his whip, our Eighth Wonder shows who's stronger as he breaks out of it and begins to rag doll the simian dictator.
  • While escaping from Skar King's minions, we get to see more of Kong's traps in action. One guy gets smashed with an enormous swinging stone, while another falls down a hidden pit.
    • His final trap gets noticed by the remaining five armed apes, and Kong is cornered. Despite having lost his axe and a frostbitten right hand, he still puts his fists up, ready to fight them all on his own.
    • And then, Suko returns, triggering the final trap himself and burying all the minions!
  • Godzilla and Kong's battle in Egypt. Props to Kong trying his best to keep his cool, attempting to reason with the enraged Godzilla, but when the King of the Monsters proves too stubborn Kong resorts to Plan B: knock him out cold and forcefully drag him to the portal by his tail. While that fails, as Godzilla quickly recovers and almost kills Kong with his atomic breath after pinning him down underfoot, he still manages to knock the King of the Monsters on his ass with a solid uppercut from his BEAST glove and delivers a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that would have killed almost any other titan. It says more about Godzilla that he withstands all of it, recovers, and is still ready to tear Kong a new one until Mothra shows up and gets him to calm down and listen to reason.
    • The fight serves as a reminder that while he may be below Godzilla in terms of raw power, Kong is an Alpha Titan because he knows how to fight smart.
    • Props should also go to Godzilla for managing to land a suplex on Kong. It is easily one of the coolest scenes in an already cool movie.
    • It's important to note that Kong isn't trying to kill Godzilla and yet he still managed to knock the Big-G unconscious (if only for a moment). If Kong had been going all out it's not unlikely that he could've emerged victorious.
  • Mothra finally returns (after being teased in the credits for Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)), even more radiant and beautiful than ever before, and immediately resumes her role as peacekeeper and the Queen of the Monsters, calming down an enraged Godzilla (though not before directly intervening in the fight itself by attacking Godzilla with her Goddess Rays) and finally convincing him to work by Kong's side. She also personally joins the duo in the battle herself when they arrive in the Subterranean Realm and slows down the Skar King's army with her silk attacks. Meaning we get not 1, not 2 but 3 of the most iconic heroic Kaiju in movie history all joining forces against a common evil.
    • The meet up ends with Godzilla, Kong, and Mothra all on the same page and sharing a group roar in an epic shot.
    • And how does Mothra show up? By appearing with Jia on top of the Great Sphinx no less!
  • Suko proves himself to be a quite capable Pint-Sized Powerhouse, able to fend off Skar King's goons in Hollow Earth's zero gravity by hurling floating rocks at them, and later proves instrumental in the Skar King's defeat by retrieving Kong's dropped partially destroyed axe, leaping through the portal to Rio with it, and using it to smash the crystal that the Skar King uses to command Shimo, freeing her from his control and ensuring the evil ape's death.
  • The Final Battle:
    • While Kong and Godzilla face off against Skar King and Shimo, Mothra deals with most of Skar King's army herself by effortlessly disabling them with her silk and saves the human cast from death twice. When Shimo gets the upper hand on Godzilla, Mothra flies in and staggers her with a blast of her God Rays, giving Godzilla the chance to escape the ice and fight back. Given Mothra was also able to floor Godzilla with her God Rays, it retroactively makes her performance in King of the Monsters even more awesome: she was fighting Rodan without most of her kit and still won.
    • Kong lands a solid hit on Skar King, knocking one of his teeth clean out of his skull. As Skar King recovers, Kong smirks. Skar King had made fun of Kong's replacement tooth earlier, now Kong seems to be saying "Yeah, gotcha back, and that's just the start of me rearranging your face."
    • Shimo is an absolute menace on the battlefield. She's a hulking behemoth who dwarfs every other monster in the movie, and seems to have no limits to her ice blasts. Recall earlier how quickly and effortlessly Godzilla defeated Scylla and Tiamat, and that's without his power-up. During the final battle, he repeatedly gets in prolonged direct hits in on Shimo, yet she sustains no lasting damage even though he's twenty times as powerful as he was before. When pre-release information described her as a "colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence", they weren't kidding!
    • Just as Skar King thinks he's got the upperhand, he notices Godzilla supercharging his atomic breath. While Skar King is able to dodge the blast, his counterattack results in Godzilla catching his whip in his mouth. Godzilla then looks directly at Skar King with his eyes narrowed, as if to say "Gotcha!" before throwing Skar King across the city by his whip and shattering the whip. He then proceeds to keep Skar King on the run, preventing the simian tyrant from getting the control crystal back and then tackling Shimo so Kong can go after it.
      • After seeing him lord his power over the enslaved great apes and innocent humans, it’s damn satisfying to see Skar King on the receiving end as it’s made very clear that he knows he is in no shape or form close to or in Godzilla's weight class as the King of The Monsters proceeds to put him on the defense.
    • As Skar King tries to choke out Kong in a frantic attempt to get the crystal, Kong sees Suko coming with the axe. Instantly realizing what's coming, Kong bites down on Skar King's arm so he can't interfere as the little ape shatters the crystal and frees Shimo.
    • After being freed from Skar King's control, Shimo looks around, unsure of her next action. The one she turns towards for further instruction? Godzilla. As if she immediately knew that Godzilla was the one who knew best of what to do next, despite dwarfing him and everyone else around. Despite needing a 20x power boost to match her, and being easily able to dispatch Skar King on his own now, Godzilla seemingly ORDERS Shimo to attack her former tormentor. And she does, with no hesitation. It's awesome seeing Godzilla use his authority to command another monster, just like Ghidorah did in 2019, but as a force of good rather than evil.
      • Equally awesome is the possibility that Godzillia isn't ordering Shimo, but giving permission. It can't have been fun being under pain control to a brutal tyrant for eons, and now Shimo gets to pay Skar King back for all that hurt. With interest.
    • Skar King meets his end in the most pathetic, brutal, and satisfying way: first by losing Shimo's command to Suko, the baby ape he bullied, then being thrown around like a volleyball by Godzilla and Kong, then getting frozen solid by his abused former pet Shimo and finally being shattered into shrapnel by Kong who makes sure to pound his frozen remains to dust for good measure.
  • After Skar King's death Godzilla proceeds to dissipate the ice cloud in the sky caused by Shimo's ice breath by blasting his atomic breath into it. Shimo and Suko can only stare in awe at the display of power as the Big G reminds us again why he's The Alpha.
  • Kong finally becoming the ruler of the Hollow Earth after the Skar King's defeat, with Suko by his side and Shimo willingly serving him and the other apes cheering for him. At last, he truly is King Kong.
