- The fiasco that stopped this in its tracks was a few unfortunate computer crashes losing me all my rough work and plans, but if I'm honest the reason the hiatus has lasted this long is because I've moved onto other projects. - Comments: For once, Ron gets a chance to be the one to fix things. In an AU Post-War where Harry died instead of survived, Hermione and Ron do a powerful spell, using Ron's Seer ancestry, that sends Ron back into his third year. Unfortunately, they overshoot and send him to his first year instead. Ron's grief is pretty realistic, mourning for both his dead friend and the wife he left behind in the future. This foreknowledge both helps and hurts his friendships more than once. One interesting twist about this fic is that Ron ends up telling certain older authority figures, including Dumbledore, that he has some knowledge about potential futures, but is able to chalk it up to his Seer abilities rather than admitting he's from the future. The fic's original timeline is only canon up to OOTP.
