Anon: Updates can be slow, Cywscross is an up-and-coming writer whose prose is mind-blowing. Although this Harry can be Mary Sue-ish, he does come from a darker alternate timeline, so he had to do a lot more. The introduction of an original character and the possible conflict Harry may experience having to face himself has great potential for the future, in addition to the deeper exploration of the surrounding characters rather than just casual mentions. Includes: Neville as the Boy-Who-Lived, an original character, Orion as a woobie badass, Harry's Alternate Self as a prat (despite his parents being likable), and an awesome Ancient Runes professor.
Demiser of D: Without question one of the most well-written Harry Potter fanfics on the internet. The prose is absolutely exquisite, exemplifying fine literature to the point that it has actually improved my own writing techniques just by reading it. The only downside is how slowly it is updated, but it is already of such a length that you cannot complain about that length at all without feeling at least a little greedy. But screw it, writing this good just inspires greed. It's awesome. Enough said.
