Cave Dancers Pretty Cure is a 2023 fanfiction based on Fraggle Rock and the Pretty Cure franchise. Penned by NoonboryKedabory, it began publication on September 18th, 2023.

One day, a postcard from Uncle Travelling Matt arrives with a strange gem inside. This gem turns out to be a Dance Crystal, which hosts magical powers. After a scramble to find the other crystals, the Fraggle Five become the Cave Dancers Pretty Cure, and protect Fraggle Rock from various threats.

In The Kedabory Verse's lineup of Pretty Cure Alternate Universes, it is preceded by Freaky Fabulous Pretty Cure and followed by Fairyland Pretty Cure.

Tropes:

  • Adaptation Amalgamation:
    • On the Fraggle Rock end; while the tone is based on the original series, Daisy Wheel Doozer from the 2014 Doozers Spin-Off cartoon serves as the Cures' mascot, and Lilli Cooper's Doc from Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock appears instead of Gerry Parkes' Doc from the original.
    • On the Pretty Cure end; Cure Wisdom is a pink leader, a tradition that started with Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash★Star, while Cure Space and Cure Crimson are a purple and red duo that have to transform together like Cure Macherie and Cure Amour, and the second arc's villain is Kabaton. One filler chapter shows that in this series, every team of Cures, including previous Kedabory Verse teams, exists simultaneously and alongside each other and they always look out for each other.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Downplayed; Daisy Wheel's name is altered to Daisywheel.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Cure Peace strikes Pa Gorg's club out of his hands with a bolt of lightning in Episode 7.
  • Canon Character All Along: In Episode 3, Mokey tells the story of her earliest memory, in which she took care of a newborn Fraggle. It's only after she's done that she reveals said newborn to be Boober.
  • Color-Coded Characters: Cure Wisdom is pink, Cure Banana is yellow, Cure Space is purple/orange, and Cure Crimson is red.
  • Combination Attack: With help from Cure Space and Cure Crimson, Cure Banana can use an extra-powerful sun blast called the Sparkling Heatwave.
  • Continuity Nod: Episode 8.5 has Madoka indirectly referencing Sew Cute Pretty Cure and Freaky Fabulous Pretty Cure as the Cures in both are new teams that are breaking down barriers.
  • Demoted to Extra: Cotterpin Doozer only makes a few cameos, while Daisywheel takes her place as the most prominent female Doozer.
  • Dream Walker: In Episode 4, Cure Dream visits Gobo and Red's dream to encourage them not to give up on their search for Dance Crystals.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness:
    • In the first chapter, Mokey is wearing her robe from the original series. All subsequent chapters would have her wear her dress from Back to the Rock.
    • In Chapter 2, Junior was initially depicted as speaking normally. It was later changed to his Elmuh Fudd Syndwome.
  • Excited Title! Two-Part Episode Name!: How each chapter title is formatted.
  • Fantastic Flora: Markeen berries, magic sparkling berries that grant Super-Speed.
  • Foreshadowing: Part of the title to Episode 7 is "We Want Peace!". Guess which Cure makes an appearance.
  • Freudian Slip: When Kabaton grills the Fraggles about their connections to PreCure, Mokey refers to them as "Pretty Cure", giving away her knowledge of them to Kabaton as she knows their two names.
  • Lemony Narrator: In Episode 2, Wembley hears the narrator and talks to her. The narrator directly responds, denying Wembley's questions and asserting that she calls the shots in the story.
  • Mood Whiplash: In Episode 7, after Cure Peace says "Exactly! All of us are strongest when we work in harmony!", Cure Banana asks her if she made it up. Cure Peace awkwardly stammers that she read it in a manga once.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Doc is given the name Sally Cooper.
  • Pink Heroine: Cure Wisdom, the leader of the Cures, is decked out in pink.
  • Playing with Fire: Cure Crimson's power, fitting with her Hot-Blooded personality.
  • Power Dyes Your Hair: Mokey's blue hair turns magenta as Cure Wisdom.
  • The Power of Love: Cure Wisdom's powers. She can use her calming aura and empathy to stop enemies from fighting and instead listen to reason.
  • The Power of the Sun: In addition to general light powers, Cure Banana's powers are based around the sun. He has a sun-shaped wand, and can use sun beams to chase away enemies.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: Boober's mother was named Shidara, which is "A radish" backwards, albeit adjusted for pronunciation.
  • Star Power: Cure Space's powers. Due to his association with Outer Space, Cure Space can use stars as hoverboards.
  • Super-Speed: Anyone who eats a markeen berry will gain a lot of energy and be able to run at extremely fast speeds.
