Mary Ellen “Mala” Powers (December 20, 1931 – June 11, 2007) was an American stage, screen, and radio actress. She was best known for Cyrano de Bergerac (1950), and Daddys Gone A Hunting, and Doomsday Machine.
Powers contracted a rare blood disease while on tour with the USO in 1950 and had to spend a lengthy recovery. She was married twice—to Monte Vanton and M. Hughes Miller—and had one child with Vanton. She died from complications of leukemia at 75.
