Niko Bellic
- Agent Scully: He doesn't believe Luis and Johnny when they tell him they've seen a zombie. Then he turns around to see a whole horde of them.
- Aside Glance: He does this at the very end of the movie.
- Big Damn Heroes: Niko manages to save Luis and Johnny Just in Time from a zombie by shooting it right in the head.
- Big "NO!": Lets one out as a Skyward Scream in the desert after experiencing a mirage.
- Blunt "Yes": He responds to Luis with this when the latter asks him if he's sure he wants to go through with his plan about luring zombies in one building then blowing it up.
- Boom, Headshot!: One bullet was all he needed to kill that zombie.
- Deadpan Snarker: It is Niko Bellic after all.
- I'll Kill You!: "I'll kill all of you!"
- Instantly Proven Wrong: He turns around to find a horde of zombies not long after he dismisses Johnny's suggestion that there are.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Twice!
- First, he shot the pilot and caused the plane to crash, indirectly leading the trio into their encounter with the zombies.
- Second, after he, Johnny, Luis and the survivor arrive at the camp, Niko starts messing with a flare that attracts all zombies towards them.
- Not a Zombie: He quickly insists on this at first. Then he sees he's dead wrong.
- Oh, Crap!: Delivers the more deadpan ones in the movie.
- Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Niko leaves Johnny and Luis on the uncontrollable plane via parachute.
- Skyward Scream: A very Big "NO!".
- Perma-Stubble: Has this look on.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: As he's preparing to blow up the zombies.Niko: Goodbye!
- Right Behind Me: Just as he's denying the existence of zombies, a large group of them appear behind him.
- What the Hell, Hero?: On the receiving end of this by Luis and Johnny after shooting the pilot.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Of course he'd say it, given the circumstances.
- Zombie Apocalypse Hero: Grows into this gradually. He's the one who comes up with the plan to be rid of a lot of zombies at once.
Johnny Klebitz
- Agent Mulder: In contrast to Niko, Johnny easily accepts that there are zombies. He's right.
- Badass Biker: He's seen riding his Hexer at the beginning and is not someone to be messed with.
- Big "NO!": Lets it out as he's about to be attacked by the first zombie.
- Blood Knight: Seemingly enjoys fighting the zombies more than Niko and Luis.
- Deadpan Snarker: Even Johnny gets his moments. Notably after losing sight of the survivor (Luis accidentally killed him), he remarks "That's good".
- Groin Attack: At one point, he sits on a stove eating beans. Eventually, the stove lights up...Johnny: What's that fucking smell? My balls are cooking. Oh man!
- What the Hell, Hero?: Calls Niko out for shooting the pilot.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Frequently.
Luis Fernando Lopez
- Alliterative Name: Only the first and last, not the middle.
- Are You Sure You Want to Do That?: He asks this at one point in concern about Niko's suicidal plan to get rid of the zombies.
- Badass Spaniard: He's of Dominican descent and despite being disadvantaged at some points, he still pulls through.
- Big "NO!": Lets out a lot of these here.
- Butt-Monkey: Fills this role throughout. He gets beaten up by Johnny on the plane, gets buried under sand after it crashes, encounters the first zombie which terrifies him, gets the weakest weapon in the tent and ends up accidentally killing the survivor and hiding it.
- Deadpan Snarker: Filled with disdain for the situation and won't hesitate to express it.
- Hates Small Talk: While he and Niko are waiting for Johnny and the survivor to a new tire, Niko tries to start a conversation with Luis by introducing himself. Luis merely replies that he's aware of that and walks away to rest on a rock.
The Survivor
- Failed a Spot Check: While looking for a tire, he fails to notice a whole garage filled with them.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Although he agreed to help them, the three don't show him much respect. Niko argues with him at one point, Luis doesn't seem to regret killing him and Johnny remarks that it's good he's gone.
- Mistaken for Undead: His first meeting with the protagonists.
- Profane Last Words: Fucking asshole...
- What the Hell, Hero?: His Profane Final Words above directed at Luis who accidentally kills him.
The Zombies
- Big Bad Ensemble: There's a lot, a lot of them.
