    Meakyu

A creature, who was rumored as phantom creature that was supposedly gone extinct. He is the sole survivor of the Nation of Sin after all residents are killed by Makina.


  • Pokémon Speak: He only says, "Kyuu" or "Kyu".
  • The Runt at the End: He is the only resident not human and yet, the residents of the Nation of Sin still accepts him.
  • Sole Survivor: He is the only survivor that Kanata and the others saved from Makina.
  • Team Pet: He joins Kanata and the group after the Nation of Sin's massacred.

    Mibaru 
A swordman and owner of his Dojo who went missing after Cress took over his Dojo temporary.
  • Dying as Yourself: After Mibaru in his monster form is killed by the villagers of Dalchia, he changes back into his original human form and thanks Cress for everything before he passes away.
  • The Faceless: Mibaru's face was never shown after he change back into a human.
  • Fusion Dance: Cody sold Mibaru to a mad scientist, who did inhuman experiments to him by fusing him with a monster, which almost killed him instead of saving his life.

    Queen Rebecca

The Queen of Kingdom of Medagal, and the wife of King Gadel.


  • Awful Wedded Life: After she found her husband's true colors, she is really unhappy about her marriage with Gadel and he never loved her as a person.
  • Last Request: She asks Aegis to tell her that he loves her, even if it's a lie. However, Aegis couldn't bring himself to say anything and Rebecca dies before he can leading Aegis to scream in anguish.
  • Rags to Royalty: Queen Rebecca of Medagal mentions this as being her Back Story: she was originally just a peasant working the fields.
  • Small Town Boredom: Admits this is the reason she accepted King Gadel's proposal. If she didn't accept the proposal, she likely would've spent the rest of her life in her hometown and marry the son of another farmer. It was only after arriving at the castle that she realized the king only saw her as a Trophy Wife.

  • Killed Off for Real: He was killed by an Enforcer during the Nation of Sin's massacred led by Makina.

An world-traveling celebrity actress and childhood friend of Yuna Azetta.


  • Childhood Friend: Penelope has been Yuna's friend since they were children.
  • Cynical Mentor: Penelope agrees to help Kanata, Misella and Aegis improve their acting skills, but she can be very strict as she won't let them go easily and push their limits until morning.
  • Delicate and Sickly: She's very sickly, and often has to be bedridden for long periods in order to recover. This becomes an important plot point when after the heroes put on a performance, she collapses due to it, causing things to spiral out of control and Yuna being labeled a transgressor.
  • Disappeared Dad: She never met her father Genitz because he left her mother after Penelope was born. He left after he was branded as a transgressor for provoking the theatergoers too much.
  • Family Business: She comes from a family of actresses.
  • Tears of Remorse: According to Yuna, Penelope wasn't relieved about her mother's death after she was branded a transgressor and executed by the Enforcers, she was completely devastated after losing her only family. Penelope still loves her mother even though she physically abused her.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Penelope is the tomboy to Yuna's girly girl.
  • Training from Hell: When Penelope was a child, she was beaten up badly by her mother during her acting lessons. If she messed up in her acting, her mother beat and kicked her and she ended up covered with bruises on her arms, legs, and face. She worked hard on her acting and tried her best, but she still ended up with the same results: her mother almost beating her to death.
  • Workaholic: Penelope takes her work as an actress seriously and spends her days rehearsing her roles. She often falls ill and collapse from exhaustion due to lack of eating and sleep.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Penelope has heart problems and there's no cure or treatment. According to Yuna, the doctors told her that Penelope only has a half year left to live.

    Naya

Aura's mother and the wife of Orwin.
  • Didn't Think This Through: She asks Orwin to Mercy Kill her, which backfires when Aura wakes up mid-act and assumes her father murdered her.
  • Dying as Yourself: In her dying moments, Naya uses the last of her power to change back into her human form temporarily because she doesn't want to die as a monster and prefers to die as a human.
  • Dying Declaration of Love: As Orwin strangles his wife Naya to death due to her dying from her fatal wounds, Naya's last words are that she loves him.
  • Happily Married: She is married to her husband, Orwin, and they had a daughter named Aura.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: When the Man-Eater Monster begins unleashing a wave of fire around itself, she tanks the hit and kills it, at the cost of fatally wounding her and letting her live only for a bit longer to ask for a Mercy Kill from Orwin.
  • Hide Your Otherness: She's been hiding that she is a monster for a while, all so she can live a happy life with Orwin and Aura.
  • Hunter of His Own Kind: The only reason she turns into her monster form is to hunt other monsters that threaten the city, which is what initially lead to her being believed to be the man eating monster in the city.
  • Internal Reveal: In Chapter 8 Part 2, it is revealed that Naya is an ancient monster who has the ability to turn into a human.
  • Last Request: Naya requests for Orwin to kill her because she wants to die as a human and not as a monster. She's dying from her fatal wounds and she doesn't know how long she will maintain her human form before she changes back to her monster form.
  • Motherly Side Plait: She wore a braided ponytail over her right shoulder, fitting her role as a good mother to Aura.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Unlike her fellow intelligent monsters, she rejected hunting humans to survive, instead gaining a humanoid form so she could live with Orwin.

Daughter of Orwin and Naya.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: The daughter of the human man Owain Granberg and the ancient monster Naya.
  • Hates Their Parent:
    • Aura resents her father Orwin for being a con artist and a liar. She even hates him for lying to Kanata, being a transgressor and attempting to wear him down and turn him in to the soldiers for the money.
    • Aura hates her father Orwin even more after she witnesses him killing her mother Naya (even though Naya requested him to kill her). She uses her vision orb to record her father's crime, condemning him and branding as a transgressor so that the Enforcers can kill him and avenge her mother.
  • Please Wake Up: After Aura regains consciousness at the worst possible time and she witnesses her father Orwin kill her mother Naya, she begs her mother to wake up and open her eyes.
  • Power Incontinence: She can partially manifest a monster form like her mother, and is strong enough that Orwin, who was physically skilled enough to briefly fight the party, couldn't restrain her alone. However, she as no idea she can do so, and lacks control over it. Only Vicious is able to stop it, much to his own confusion.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Aura bears a strong resemblance to her mother Naya, except she inherited her dark brown hair from her father Orwin.

    Bakwin

Orwin's younger brother and current king of Toshimina.
  • Cool Crown: Bakwin wears a golden jewelry crown as a sign of nobility and the current Toshimina's king.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Bakwin is unaware Orwin’s wife was an ancient monster and his niece Aura is a half-human and half ancient monster.
  • Promotion to Parent: Barwin becomes Aura’s guardian after his older brother Orwin kills his wife and is branded as a transgressor.

    Hawken and Nema Alver 
Aegis' parents.
  • Disney Death: At first, Aegis thought his parents were already excuted by the Enforcers, but at the end of Chapter 10, they are alive thanks to Ivis’ concealment magic to keep them hidden from the Enforcers.
  • Good Parents: Hawken and Nema are loving parents and they still care for their son Aegis after he became a transgressor. They refuse to believe Aegis is a horrible person because he is their pride and joy. However, defending their son results in them being condemned and turns into transgressors like their son.
