Flag of the Turkish National State
Official Name: Ottoman Empire, Turkish National State (Turkish revolt failed)
Ruling Party: Türk İşgal Konseyinote
Ideology: Absolutismnote

  • The Puppet Cuts His Strings: Should Russia intervene in the Second Great War, the Ottomans will use that opportunity to revolt against their Russian overlords.
  • Puppet State: The aftermath of the Crimean War has led Turkey to becoming increasingly reliant on Russia, to a point where they became a puppet state.
  • Vestigial Empire: Arguably one of the worst cases of Turkey being a vestigial empire in an alternate history mod. After Russia won Crimean War, the Ottoman Empire lost all of their colonies, Western Anatolia, Kurdistan, and Constantinople. The Ottoman Empire has since been reduced to a client state of Russia.

  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: His skill in jungle warfare and counter-insurgency in both Indochina and other areas of the Pacific led to him being placed in charge of the Far East Administration after the previous Governor General was assassinated by Vietnamese revolutionaries.
  • Front Line General: Deconstructed. He prefers to personally lead his troops against the Revolutionary Army of Vietnam, but that has led to him ignoring basically every other facet of his job as Governor General, resulting in the various native Sultans and Far East Admiral Lord Mountbatten having pick up his slack, the latter of whom is growing rather annoyed with Wingate.
  • Military Maverick: Noted to be rather unprofessional and increasingly eccentric, to the annoyance of Lord Mountbatten, who has had to step up and do most of the actual work required of a Governor General while Wingate spends his time leading from the front.
  • The Peter Principle: He is an excellent commander when it comes to jungle warfare and counter-insurgency, but he isn't all that skilled at governing, nor does he show much interest in it outside of the parts involving fighting the Revolutionary Army of Vietnam, meaning that various local Sultans and Lord Mountbatten have had to step up to run things in his absence.

    Republic of Japan
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jap.png
Official Name: Republic of Japan
Ruling Party: Kakumei-teki jinmin kyōkainote
Ideology: Kingoro Hashimoto Thoughtnote

  • Allohistorical Allusion:
    • The Republic of Japan is an analogue of OTL Soviet Union.
      • Hashimoto taking power and then turning Japan into a republican dictatorship and purging anyone suspected of counter revolutionary thought mirrors Stalin’s “Great Purge”.
      • During the Great War, Revolutionary Republican forces overthrew the Provisional Diet and offered unconditional surrender to the Imperial Powers, which is accepted. Moderate forces rally around the Imperial family and overthrown Diet, which refuses to support the Republicans, kickstarting the Japanese Civil War. This mirror the events of the Russian Civil War OTL.
  • The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized: The ideals of the Republican Revolution were betrayed and the Republic ended up becoming a dictatorship in which Kingoro Hashimoto has supreme authority.
  • The Purge: After the Republicans took control, they have been burging any loyalist elements of Japanese society, which only intensified when Hashimoto came into power.
  • La Résistance: The Cherry Blossom Society is a revolutionary society seeking to overthrow Kingoro Hashimoto to install a much more democratic regime, considering he betrayed the revolution by turning the republic into his dictatorship.

    Tsardom of Zheltorossiya
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/man_0.png
Official Name: Tsardom of Zheltorossiya
Ruling Party: Yusupov Faction of the Moscow Circle in Harbin
Ideology: Neo-Colonialismnote

  • Evil Colonialist: The worst of Russification is seen in Zheltorossiya, as the Chinese are treated as second class colonials in their own country, Manchu and Chinese women are frequently pressured into marrying Russians, being forced to adopt Russian names, and abandoning cultural traditions in favor of those preferred by the Moscow Circle. The only true route to legitimate citizenship for the population remains absolute assimilation, a humiliating process that even once completed can be revoked without recourse. It also doesn't help that Zheltorossiya, specifically Harbin, is the birthplace of the ultranationalist and arch-reactionary Moscow Circle.
  • Puppet State: Downplayed. While Zheltorossiya has a Russian Tsar and answers to St. Petersburg, it is technically independent from Russia.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica: As Russia began to liberalize, reactionary elements of the military that posed a threat to Russian democracy were reassigned to Manchuria, Mongolia, and even Russian America. Unfortunately for the Russian government, this meant that said reactionary officers were able to form the Moscow Circle in Harbin, meaning that Zheltorossiya became a breeding ground for the Moscow Circle and other reactionary elements, far away from St. Petersburg's meddling.

  • Bilingual Bonus: The motto on the flag is written in both English and Chinese.
