Main Characters

    Kamekichi 

Kamekichi (カメキチ)

The protagonist. A powerful psychic that escapes from the research institute that holds him.
  • Born Unlucky: His luck stat is 0, and given the misfortune he's suffered before you start playing as him, it's unsurprising.
  • Eleventh Hour Super Power: After Idea's insanity kills her in the same way his dog was killed, and so soon after discovering she was his mother, Kamekichi is so furious he obtains a massive power boost, shown by him leveling up 10 levels.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]:His name can be changed at the start of the game.
  • Precursor: He is of Atlantean descent, as revealed later on. It's also the reason he has psychic powers.
  • Squishy Wizard: He has immense power, but is very frail early on. He also has low endurance, so running too much will drain his health.
  • Traumatic Superpower Awakening: He fully awakens his psychic powers at the start of the game, when the scientists kill his dog.
  • World of Technicolor Hair: His hair is green.

  • Dying as Yourself: When he is defeated, he returns to his normal self, confesses about the bad deeds he committed as Hyde, and thanks Kamekichi before kicking the bucket.
  • Jekyll & Hyde: As if his name wasn't enough to tell.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Jekyll doesn't do shit other than waste turns getting scared, but when he turns back into Hyde, he will try to kick your ass.

    Psycho Brain

  • Humans Are Bastards: He thinks of humans as nothing more than animals who relentlessly bully each other.
  • Palette Swap: A golden variant can be fought later as a regular enemy, simply called "Brain".

  • Hopeless Boss Fight: In the first fight he uses a sleeping gas attack that immediately puts the whole group to sleep. He procceds to thrown them on a jail, and you get to play as Dr. Poe.
  • Tongue Trauma: His basic attack.
  • Palette Swap: A green variant called "Color Frog" can be fought latter as a regular enemy.

  • Arc Villain: He's the central antagonist during the party's visit to the volcano.
  • Magma Man: Npanpa has the power to control lava.
  • Offerings to the Gods: Npanpa's followers regularly capture women from the Hamehame village and make them his playthings.
  • Tail Slap: One of this attacks.
  • Taking You with Me: He erupts the volcano in attempt to kill the party before biting the dust, forcing them to run for it.

  • Chest Monster: An egg is found inside a chest, which is where Gueegar hatches and clings into Kamekichi's mouth. For the remainder of the dungeon, Kamekichi will lose life points every time he takes a step.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: Gueegar takes a liking on Kamekichi after being defeated, and you get the option to let him join. He is the last pet you can get.
  • Death by Childbirth: Holy shit. For starters, a parasite forces itself on Kamekichi's face and lays eggs through his mouth. Not too long after, Gueegar bursts from Kamekichi's stomach, killing him in the process. Fortunately, you can revive Kamekichi in the ensuing battle.
