Not only does he manage to take down both DarkLizamon and Sabermon on his own (and finally outright defeat an opponent as BetelGammamon), he does it by switching between his Adult forms at will for the first time.

Episode 21

  • GulusGammamon emerges to force an unconscious Gammamon to awake and evolve, and then proves how abnormally strong he is for an Adult-level by one-shotting a Perfect Digimon. Archnemon was completely helpless as soon as he shoved his fist down her throat and scorched her from the inside-out with Desdemona.

Episode 23

  • The human protagonists decide to try and subdue the Digimon protagonists using makeshift weapons.
    • Hiro tries to fight Gammamon with a skillet. When Gammamon punches through it, Hiro immediately notices that the pepper that Gammamon accidently knocked off was having an effect on him. He then proceeds to subdue Gammamon with his bare hands before stuffing him with tons of spicy dressing.
    • Ruli tries to fight Angoramon with a street hockey stick, brandishing it with a smirk on her face, before promising to turn Angoramon back to normal.
    • Though scared and shaking, Kiyoshiro tries to fend off Jellymon with compressed air canisters and and a piece of cardboard as a shield.
  • With enough time to charge his Albion attack, and Kiyoshiro's help with the targeting, WezenGammamon manages to shoot down an orbiting satellite.
    • When an infected Angoramon and Jellymon try to stop the group, Clockmon and Ruli fend them off, with the latter brandishing a golf club and hitting Angoramon with enough force to stagger him.

Episode 25

  • For starters, the return of Vamdemon to the franchise, who is already on the route to taking over the world.
  • As Vamdemon has the group dead to rights, BetelGammamon starts to turn into GulusGammamon, but Hiro talks him down and their bond results in him properly evolving into Canoweissmon and defeating Vamdemon.

Episode 28

  • Asuramon manages to hold their own against Canoweissmon (keep in mind that Vamdemon was quickly overpowered) and although they were about to be overwhelmed, Asuramon is saved because the evolution ran out of time.

Episode 29

  • Thetismon uses her venom to heal an entire building's worth of people all at once, one man mistaking her for a goddess as a result. She doesn't object.

Episode 32

  • After spending the entire episode being replaced and having his very existence threatened, Gammamon foils Betsumon's plan by beating his imposter in an eating contest, freeing Hiro. He then follows this up by handing the entire army of Betsumon their tails as Canoweissmon.

Episode 33

  • Jellymon volunteers to be injected with a drug that puts her in a between life and deaths states to save Kiyoshiro. She proceeds to drag her darling out of the river of the dead, and then kick the butt of what amounts to his grim reaper. She then drags the Sepikmon back with Kiyoshiro so she can beat up Sepikmon MORE in the living world, with Gammamon wanting to join in.

Episode 34

  • BetelGammamon defeating Salamandamon by making her own attack explode right at her face.

And Doumon, a Perfect level Digimon, stands in the way of Gammamon who is a Child level, he doesn't even slow Gammamon down, getting a visible blow to the face! Nothing stops Gammamon from saving his big brother.

Episode 39

  • Gammamon saving Ryudamon from his Gyukimon persona, something everyone genuinely believed was impossible.

Episode 40

  • The long version of "First Riders" plays for the first time here, when Gammamon pits off with Calamaramon.

Episode 41

  • Knowing they don't stand a chance against Piedmon, Ruli has to beat him in a game of cards to free his victims and prevent him from doing this again or be turned into a card herself. Piedmon raises the stakes in response to her raising it to the above agreement, throwing a Trump Sword into BetalGammamon for Ruli's losses or one of his minions for his. Ruli wins.
  • BetalGammamon is left fighting all four of Piedmon's minions, gets impaled with swords...and manages to stay in the fight until the end.
  • Mephismon gets angry, accusing Ruli of cheating and attacking her. This prompts Angoramon to evolve into Lamortmon and beat the stuffing out of Mephismon until Piedmon bails him out.

Episode 42

  • After Gammamon is pushed too far, he evolves into GulusGammamon again and quickly makes short work of the Oboromon, first impales the red one, barely able to process what's happening, previously believing himself to be invincible, then rips out the wisps from the bodies of the other four and eats them, causing them to scream in pain and grovel in agony.
  • Hiro stands up to GulusGammamon to stop his rampage, this makes him compliment him for it and willingly devolves back to Gammamon.

Episode 44

  • The trio of Andiramon are incredibly tough, healing faster than what Canoweissmon and Lamortmon can hurt them and keep fighting until their evolutions ran out of time, Hiro, Ruli, and their Digimon end up cornered, only being saved when Jellymon managed to cancel their orders to make them stop at the last second.
  • Kiyoshiro tells off Jellymon after causing problems again, and it works!, Jellymon apologizes and takes responsibility for her actions for the first time.

Episode 45

  • As soon as PubliNews declares that a member of D-Topi will die in an accident the following day, Kiyoshiro bravely declares that he'll protect them at any cost. It's a far cry from his usual timid attitude, especially considering that he was cowering under his bedsheets moments before - and he does it even without needing to wake up from an integer overflow.
  • The air duel between KausGammamon and Publimon. Despite everything that the little psycho throws his and Hiro's way, they save Anna and Publimon only succeeds in accidentally killing himself.

Episode 46

  • Oleamon is a Perfect/Ultimate level...and thanks to a combination of teamwork and exploiting her Logical Weakness to deodorant, the heroes manage to take her down solely with their Adult levels.

Episode 48

  • The simple thing is that we get to see Thetismon fight on-screen and deliver an absolutely cathartic Curb-Stomp Battle to the vicious Chamblemon. Now there's one bride that they can't turn into a living mushroom plantation.

Episode 49

  • Pumpmon arrives out of nowhere to help distract Witchmon and seal off her minions. He still gets blown away and Gammamon and Hiro have to take over the fight from that point, but at least he did spare the rest of the group the trouble.

Episode 52

  • While not himself, Shawujinmon is still a demon in battle, Canoweissmon tries to fight him only to have his Gaia Fissure blocked without effort and being dragged underwater (where Shawujinmon has the advantage), where he receives a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown until he devolves back to Gammamon. When Lamortmon fights Shawujinmon, he is stopped by his Kouyoujou: Taki no Jin, and pulled underwater, receiving a beating, having to smack Shawujinmon outside the lake to knock him out.

Episode 53

  • How does Jellymon outsmart Baalmon? Not with some trivia or question that lacks an answer, but a question exploiting and reminding him of the fact that knowledge is always changing.
  • The setting and cast used for this episode is brilliant. They managed to reunite 3 generations of voice actresses that voiced Koshiro/Izzy (Umi Tenjin, who voiced the original Adventure's, voices the kid spirit. Mutsumi Tamura, who voiced Tri's, voices Hiro. And Yumiko Kobayashi, who voiced the 2020 Adventure's, voices Espimon) into one episode. Not only that, they have Takahiro Sakurai (Who voiced Tentomon) to voice Baalmon. And they aptly name the episode "King of Knowledge". Kudos to the staff.

Episode 55

  • The farming business Jellymon did with several other Digimon might seem like an off-hand business that is dismissed by Kiyoshiro as being unimportant compared to him being brainwashed by Bastemon's minions, but it did come in handy for snapping out all the cats from Bastemon's monstrous brainwashing. How? By mimicking silver vine to to stun all the cats back to normal.
  • Bastemon makes short work of Lamortmon brainwashing him and keep Canoweissmon busy with him, wipe the floor with Espimon and Airdramon, and dodge Thetismon teleporting right behind her, which leads to Bastemon trying to drain Thetismon's life force. However, Thetismon reveals that she had planned for this and filled her body with silver vine, which Bastemon is vulnerable to.

Episode 56

  • The debut of Siriusmon, from the beautiful animation, the new evolution theme MAKUAKE, and how he was able to beat Kuzuhamon. It's arguably the most impressive moment of a partner mega defeating an opponent without killing them since Gallantmon vs Beezlemon.

Episode 57

  • Bakumon pulling a Big Damn Heroes against the Ultimate-level Lilithmon when she freezes the entire group of protagonists solid just by walking towards them, removing the effects of Phantom Pain on Gammamon and breaking the party free from her Killing Intent.
  • Lilithmon is capable of fighting the protagonists without breaking a sweat, it takes Siriusmon intentionally letting her stab him with her Nazar Nail to get an opening to hit her with his Cosmo Blade.

Episode 58

  • Ruli and Lamortmon's resolve to protect the world results in the debut of Diarbbitmon, including a beautiful transformation sequence. He proceeds to overpower the previously unstoppable AncientSphinxmon to a standstill. He ultimately wins by using a deflectional parry to block AncientSphinxmon's final attack, resulting in the evil digimon's own momentum throwing him into Necro Eclipse.

Episode 60

  • Jellymon may be the last Digimon of the team to achieve her Ultimate Evolution, but her debut of Amphimon is just as well-animated as Siriusmon, if not moreso. After struggling to fight off Cthyllamon as Thetismon, she manages to thrash the little sea devil into submission while beating the brattiness out of him. She then proceeds to undo his flood just by asking nicely.
  • Leading up to that, as Kiyoshiro is left as the only human protagonist standing and realizing the situation he is in, he decides to step up and not go into his "integer overflow" state, deliberately holding it back during the climatic fight with Cthyllamon.

Episode 61

  • A subtle one, but despite Kotoha being a girl around the same age as Ruli, she still endured her grieving and unstable big brother playing with his fiancee's corpse and all the grisly hauntings for ten days until she starts feeling uncomfortable and invites the protagonists to her doorsteps.
  • The heroes beat ZeedMillenniumon. That alone qualifies.
  • To ZeedMillenniumon's credit, it's taken just as seriously and imposing as the situation at hand would mandate, rather than "just" being another Monster of the Week. He is also well beyond the protagonists' league (and that's with them all having reached their mega form), and would have been completely impervious to their attacks if it wasn't for a weak point. And even then they can't actually kill it, but just revert it to a dormant state.
  • Manami, realizing that she is ZeedMillenniumon's weak point, tells the heroes this, knowingly sacrificing herself to defeat the world ending monster.

Episode 62

  • Espimon and Hiro sync up and Hiro's Digivice triggers, causing Espimon to digivolve into HoverEspimon. He proceeds to help the heroes defeat a Digimon two levels higher than him that also has a One-Hit Kill move.

Episode 63

  • Siriusmon and Amphimon managing to take down Quartzmon, another Final Boss level Digimon.
  • The heroes causually revealing they can save an entire horde of Baby Digimon from starving to death. Cue the same farming business Jellymon ran against Bastemon coming in handy during hard times.

Episode 64

  • When Dagomon tries to go for a second round against the protagonists, a Digital Gate shows up and expels him back to his world...and turns out it's the work of a group of very unlikely rescuers. Namely, the Cthyllamon and the group of Hangyomon in Episode 60 shows up with Black Tailmon Uver., who expelled the rampaging Eldritch Abomination. The Hangyomon also saved people like Kotaro, something that they wouldn't had been done in their debut.

Episode 66

  • He might have come out worse for it than his opponent, but massive props to BloomLordmon for being the only Digimon thus far to even slightly hurt GulusGammamon at any point in the series. And this is after the latter had evolved to Regulusmon.
  • Seemingly still in despair at Gammamon's loss, Hiro offers to sync with Regulusmon, asking only to for him to send everyone home in exchange. With everyone desperately trying to talk Hiro out of it, Regulusmon agrees. So Hiro activates his Digivice, makes the connection... and syncs with Gammamon instead. Regulusmon is furious at being denied his final evolution, but can't do anything as Canoweissmon pulls himself away from his evil counterpart. Turns out Gammamon was reaching out to Hiro and that's what he'd reached out to. Cue Trippy Finale Syndrome as the resulting clash pulls everyone into a new cosmic arena.
  • As twisted as he is, you got to give props to Regulusmon. Despite being only at Perfect level, he still manages to hold his own against four Ultimates. Not even BloomLordmon who easily wipes floor with the protagonists' Digimon and by his admission defeated numerous stronger-than-average corrupted Digimon himself, can withstand fighting him for an extended period of time, but he still has more than enough energy to fight all the protagonist's Digimon and wipe them out in one fell swoop. And then he reveals he was only pretending to be on the backfoot to lure them into a false sense of security! He catches Amphimon, throws her at Siriusmon as a distraction and blasts a hole in the latter's chest. If one ever doubted that Regulusmon's cunning made him far more terrifying than most apocalyptic threats, this episode has very likely erased those doubts — the only villain that comes close to this level of creative annihilation is Diablomon from Our War Game.

Episode 67

  • Gammamon subverting 'so last season' and using all of his digivolutions rapidfire to take down Regulusmon. Special mention goes to WezenGammamon, who manages to crack Regulusmon's shield despite Regulusmon being in the same realm of power as an Ultimate/Mega. Also notable is that the attack he uses - Albion, previously took at least half a minute to charge. In this instance, it fully charges in just a second.
  • Siriusmon literally punching out Regulusmon with his final attack, Planet Knuckle.
    • Keep in mind that Siriusmon used that move after his gunblades had been shattered in a clash with Regulusmon's Dead End Spike attack. Regulusmon taunts him about having no weapons, but as Dinobot would say, a warrior is still a warrior with or without weapons.
  • Gammamon finally defeating GulusGammamon for good. He does so by using the spirits of his digivolutions to literally eat Gulus and recapture him in his body. After touting his philosophy of "devour or be devoured" for so long, it's both ironic and cathartic to see GulusGammamon get a taste of his own medicine.
    • Of special mention is GulusGammamon giving his first and only Oh, Crap! face at seeing what's about to happen. For the first time, the Jet-Black Conqueror, the one who nearly brought about the total destruction of the Digital World, is genuinely, truly afraid. And the one who brought it about is his other self, whom he thought he killed off for good.
  • GulusGammamon arguably gets a moment of his own even in defeat. Rather than whine or moan about it, he accepts his loss rather well, sticking to his own social darwinist rules to the very end; Gammamon devoured him (literally to boot), so now he gets to decide how things will be from now on.
