This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Some changes needed for cleaning up I Got Better:
(Under WMG: Jesus Christ)
Delete the I Got Better entry (the rename, Unexplained Recovery, doesn't apply)
- Thanatos Gambit: He comes back.
(under WMG: Marry Magdaline
Remove the I Got Better pothole from the Demonic Possession entry.
delete the I Got Better entry (see above, for the Characters page)
(old text)
- It Got Worse: A large portion of the Books of Revelation and Job, but it gets better in both. The same can pretty much be said for the Bible in general.
(new text)
- It Got Worse: The bible in general relies on this a lot to ensure that the protagonist(s) of the stories earn their happy endings.
More IGB cleanup, on Headscratchers. The Dresden Files Archive.
Delete the I Got Better pothole (only one on the page, so just use the find function).

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Greetings, I come in peace. *waves* I'd like somebody to add https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanficRecs/Uncharted to the list under Video Games on the Fan Fic Recommendations page. Please?

For Let's Play: Yogscast now has the LetsPlay/ namespace.
For Nightmare Fuel: The TV Tropes section has been nixed, and everything up to the Live-Action TV section (alphabetized of course) now has been transplanted to the NightmareFuel/ namespace, continuing the transplant from HONF.
I now go by Graf von Tirol.Done and done.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.On Western Animation page, there is villain that is supposed to be added; she qualifies. The consensus agreed that she qualifies as a CompleteMonster. Can she be added??
Here is the description:
- The Changeling Queen, Chrysalis from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. She's the only antagonist who went so far as to try to kill other ponies. She disguises herself as Shining Armor's bride Cadence; just to harness his love for her as energy for her Changeling invasion of Canterlot; and imprisons the actual Cadence in the caves beneath Canterlot that most ponies had forgotten even exist. When Shining Armor's sister Twilight, having seen fake Cadence casting spells on Shining Armor, voices her own suspicions, fake Cadence plays innocent and makes it look like Twilight's only accusing her out of possessiveness of her brother. Fake Cadence then imprisons Twilight in the caves beneath Canterlot, away from the actual Cadence hoping neither will find the other. In her Villain Song's reprise, she observes her minions trashing Canterlot and hunting down all the ponies, and notes that this is sort of day which she has dreamed of since she was a child, bragging that she was an Enfante Terrible once upon a time.

After reading an earlier discussion from January, I moved medibot's page to the LetsPlay namespace, and would like to request that he be listed on the Let's Play page's index.

For Nightmare Fuel: All the subpages except for Other, Music Videos and Web Original have been transplanted to the Nightmare Fuel namespace
I now go by Graf von Tirol.Hello, the HighOctaneNightmareFuel. Are You Afraid Of The Dark page is all cleaned up and ready to be transferred to NightmareFuel. Are You Afraid Of The Dark. Could someone do that or release it for editing, please?
Done to here.
Requesting a edit for the Nightmare Fuel main page to add Professional Wrestling and the Play-by-Post Games subpages into the NF main page.
EDIT: Thanks!

I also released the lock on that page. No need for it to stay locked.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Markup for the medibot addition didn't work. It should probably be written as LetsPlay/{{medibot}}.

On Western Animation, there are also two examples that DO NOT qualify, and there has been a consensus about it long time ago , but nobody mentioned it here, until I did now.
Here a list:
- Cobra Commander in GI Joe Resolute. He uses a holographic projector to make a broadcast to the assembled UN representatives in which he demands that all nations on earth turn control of their resources over to the Cobra organization within 24 hours, or face indiscriminate attacks upon their capital cities. As a show of force, the cannon is fired at Moscow, Russia, wiping the city off the map and killing approximately ten million men, women, and children by disrupting their atomic and molecular structures.
- And while he doesn't have the same body-count (that we know of), the version of him in Renegades is well on his way to being a perfect example as well. It doesn't hurt that Charlie Adler is utterly terrifying in both versions.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 manages to make a few, but we're going to have to go for The Shredder, who's tried to murder the Turtles several times, but not just that, he's also done a plan where the deaths of millions or thousands would accomplish nothing for further goals, and is probably the most brutal fighter on the show, considering 4kids made this series, they would have tried to tone down this guy, but he wasn't toned down. The series has other monsters that may actually be worse than the Shredder.
- Turtles Forever had his adopted daughter warn him that killing the original turtles would result in the entire Turtles multiverse being erased (i.e, he would be destroyed along with everyone and everything else). He didn't care one bit.
Can they please be removed??
Done.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI found something in the YMMV page for The Inheritance Cycle that was not supposed to be there:
- Bittersweet Ending: Yeah, Galby is dead, but half the surviving Eldunarya are insane, Arya and Eragon and Firnen and Saphira have to be separated, Nasuada has a whole lot on her plate, and Murtagh and Thorn are outcast. Eragon has to leave Alagaesia for ever too.
This is not a YMMV trope. I can't put it in the main page, so if a mod could do it (or at least give me permission to do it myself), that would be great!
EDIT: And another, from the same page:
- Failure Is the Only Option: At the end of Inheritance. Eragon couldn't put the home of the Riders in any civilised nation, or it would look like he was showing favoritism. He couldn't put the Riders in Vroengard-it was a Ghost City, covered in radioactive fallout. And if he went to the east, he'd wreck his life forever.
I update once I find more, one bit at a time, because I can't do it any other way.

Moved to the main page. Can't take it off YMMV since you have it locked.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.More! Yaaaaaaaaay!
- Fictionary: A common criticism of the fictional languages Paolini uses. Expanded here.
EDIT: And I aplolgize, but what do you mean by "have it locked"? I can still put stuff in and take stuff out of the YMMV page (which I am doing the latter), though some other parts are locked, and it isn't locked from what I can see. Unless there is a glitch I am not aware of, in which case feel free to fix it.

And I've got even more from The Inheritance Cycle YMMV page. Is this becoming a Running Gag?
Belonging On the Main Page:
- Unusual Euphemism: Sloan's tirade about Eragon features a veritable barrage.
- Idiot Ball: Nearly everyone holds it.
- Saphira attacks Glaedr when her suit is turned down.
- Arguably, Glaedr turning Saphira down.
- Eragon walking the Empire to make sure Sloan, a Card-Carrying Villain by this time, gets to Ellesmera. Even from an elf, that's unnecessarily pampering a villain.
- Vermund trying to assassinate Eragon, a guest.
- Eragon [[spoilers: decides to leave Alagaesia forever without settling in the Hadarac]]
- Schmuck Bait: Umaroth gives Murtagh and Thorn a list of places to not go. Unfortunately, he described thes in such a way as to make them sound pretty awesome.
Belonging on the Trivia page:
- Fan Nickname: "Galby" for King Galbatorix, and "CP" for the author.
I'm sorry if I'm irritating you, but the page is locked, and the best I can do is make requests here.
edited 2nd May '12 11:09:12 AM by SamMax
That's an overly negative way to phrase it. The page was locked because of exactly that sort of bashing.

Rhymes with "Protracted."
, Done.
Sent in a holler, that's an Eddie-only change.
