This thread is for tropers who have trouble with English and would like some help with the crazy grammar of this crazy language.
Write down what you wish to edit on the wiki. If you have been suspended from editing, another troper might be kind enough to edit for you after your suggestions have been corrected.
The thread is for help and feedback on your own suggested edits.
If you want help correcting other people's edits (e.g., if you find a page which seems to have grammar problems but want a second opinion, or you don't feel able to fix it by yourself) then that's off-topic here, but we have a separate Grammar Police cleanup thread that can provide assistance.

Harukaze and Ciabella, I see no grammatical errors but I don't understand "The actress presenting her..." You mean representing? Does the character wear pink and is she a princess?
Harukaze:
- A God Am I: He doesn't try to become a God, but he wants to rewrite the whole universe upside down and declare himself as "evil".
- This example would not fit into the straight version of the trope. If his intention is to become the devil himself, it's Invoked. In which case:
- AGodAmI: He [[InvokedTrope invokes]] attaining godlike power as part of his plan to rewrite the world, after which he'd declare himself as the new world's "[[CardCarryingVillain evil]]".
The others:
- Chaos Is Evil:
It's obvious enough he wantsHis end goal is to use the power of theInverseSpirits' Inverse Forms to plunge the whole world into endless chaos and destruction. - Would Be Rudeto Say Genocide: He constantly uses the word "rewrite" as the pretense for "cataclysm".

"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainAdding some words for Wescott's Evil Laugh trope.
"Depending on your interpretation, it also serves as Laughing Mad, considering he doesn't care about his life, as long his plan comes into fruition."
edited 18th Nov '14 3:16:53 PM by Harukaze
That's just wishful thinking. There shouldn't be an alternate interpretation to what we're presented with when Westcott does his Evil Laugh. He's just glad his experiment on Inverse Forms worked.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainMaybe I should change the "Depending on your interpretation" to "It also doubles as".
- ''{{VideoGame/Tenchu}}: Wrath of Heaven'': The Decoy Whistle item can mimic the sounds made by cats, dogs and roosters. Using it while not visible causes the alertness of the enemies to go down a level, apparently convincing them that the {{Ninja}} that they spotted was a particularly frisky animal.
- ''Series/DoctorWho'': Seb says it in the "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS34E11DarkWater Dark Water]]" episode after Danny pulls back the curtains and gets a good look at the Nethersphere, a giant city built on the interior of a sphere. Danny gives him an incredulous look since he is still rather upset with [[spoiler: being told that he is dead.]]

- ''{{Series/Enlisted}}'': Derrick and Randy show Pete how to do this prank in the "Prank War" episode, calling it "fishing for rednecks".

- ''ComicBook/{{Hellblazer}}'': John is haunted by [[OurGhostsAreDifferent a ghost]] wearing full plague doctor garb in the two-part "Regeneration" storyline. [[spoiler: Turns out, the ghost wasn't a plague doctor when he was alive but really a father who took the clothes from a dead man in an attempt to get him and his family out of quarantine.]]

Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need Summary** Invoked by Tony in the same episode when he talks with Air Marshal Mike Beers and asks, after a tense introduction, should they grab "some [beers]." [[spoiler:The guy acts like it was the first time he heard it and raises Tony's concerns. Turns out he is an imposter who killed the real Mike Beers]].
I'm having trouble with making my editing examples look like examples, as well as the link thing.
To make links, say to With Great Power Comes Great Insanity, use square brackets like so: [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity Example]] and it will be viewed as Example
If you are lining a sub page, like a character's page, then you need that handle inside like this:
[[Characters/TheDresdenFilesTheChurch Example 2]]
Example 2
A quick one that usually puzzles me.
Do you say "a in-universe" OR "an in-universe"?
You use "an" in that situation. "A" precedes a consonant or a consonant sound. "An" precedes a vowel sound.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Thank you.
Adding Reused Character Design for each character folders.
Kurumi Tokisaki
- Reused Character Design: Her physical appearance based from Noire from Neptunia; both sport black pigtails and red eyes, with the former show this when using Astral Dress. In terms of personality, Kurumi taking many cues from Plutia/Iris Heart; both shares the similar personality: unpredictable and adopting nice girl personality while hiding their sadistic nature, only replacing the former's personality with Ax-Crazy.
Miku Izayoi
- Reused Character Design: Her appearance actually a redesign of Vert from Neptunia. Both of them are noticed for being the most curvy and busty of all female characters in their respective series.
Trope misuse. Don't shoehorn what I have deleted into another trope. First, it was Expy misuse (the description makes it clear you need authorial confirmation). Now, this.
And I am going to delete what you added in Evil Laugh because it's not contributing one iota to how the trope applies.

Proportionately Ponderous Parasites
- ''Series/DoctorWho'': The GiantSpiders in the "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS34E7KillTheMoon Kill The Moon]]" episode are MegaMicrobes that have infested the creature [[spoiler: inside the gigantic egg that makes up the core of UsefulNotes/TheMoon.]]
- The "Leap of Faith" episode of ''Series/BlueBloods'' has both the identity of the murderer and an important bit of evidence revealed through the daughter of the VictimOfTheWeek getting messages from God in an otherwise mundane CopShow.
- ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'' "[[Recap/SupernaturalS06E09ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve Clap Your Hands If You Believe...]]": Sam and Dean investigate a series of people disappearing in flashes of light and while examining a crop circle left at one of the abduction sites, Dean himself is taken. [[spoiler: TheFairFolk are behind the abductions and are encouraging the idea of aliens to divert suspicion from themselves.]]
- ''Series/HerculesTheLegendaryJourneys'': The "One Fowl Day" episode features Discord attacking in the form of a [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever gigantic chicken]] which prompts the exchange:
—>'''Barnabus''': Why did the chicken cross the road?
'''Autolycus''': To kill us all!
Hi, I'm not entirely sure if this counts or not. Some of my examples and descriptions feel long and possibly words and/or written bad. My grammar is okay, but I was hoping I could get some help maybe shortening some of the examples and making them clearer.
Now I understand very few of you have played this game, if you in fact have. So, I don't blame you if you misunderstand some of the descriptions right off the bat. I'd just really appreciate if you could take the time to look at it and tell me anything you notice wrong with it (like wordiness). I'd rather not point anything out right away, that way I can see whether it's a real issue or if I'm just being picky.
I wrote pretty much all of the examples, so have at it.

Well, "i" when referring to yourself needs to be capitalized.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDewster, I said to post edits that you would like to make on the wiki. You seem to be incapable of understanding this instruction. If you continue to display total incomprehension, you're going to get you ban elevated to permanent.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"- ''Series/SabrinaTheTeenageWitch'': At the start of the "Sabrina Through the Looking Glass" episode, Zelda leads the Spellman family in a some Yoga exercises. When they assume the lotus position and start meditating, Sabrina floats up and bonks her head on the ceiling.
- When she was alive, [[OurGhostsAreDifferent Bathsheba]] from ''Film/TheConjuring'' was a satanic witch descended from [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Eastey Mary Eastey]], one of the women hanged at the trials.
- ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'': Peter loses a hand in the "[[Recap/FamilyGuyS12E19MegStinks Meg Stinks!]]" episode and it grows into an EvilTwin who declares that his name is Retep.
- In the "[[http://notalwaysright.com/invisible-incentive/1726 Invisible Incentive]]" entry from ''Website/NotAlwaysRight'', a customer complains about not getting the "[[ComicallyMissingThePoint free air guitar]]" with the CD they bought.
under Comics Books:
- Mark Millar went on a record to say he hates Trouble and considers it's his worst work. Might apply to The Unfunnies too, since his official website doesn't seem to acknowledge it's existence.
Take That!, Comic Books section, Marvel, right under Uncanny Avengers and All-New X-Men examples:
- And to make it full circle, All-New X-Men received a diss in one of Hickman's series, New Avengers - during his What the Hell, Hero? rant, Beast from the past tells his older counterpart exactly how stupid and petty bringing past versions of Original Five X-Men to the present (in other words, the entire premise of All-New X-Men), just to spite Cyclops, was.
X-Force, under Fourth Seris, under Wham Episode:
- Issues #11-12: Fantomex seduced Meme, knowing very well she is Hope and is underage, in order to copy Murituri virus from her. He turns on the rest of the team and makes it very clear to Hope how much he manipulated her, just to hurt her more.
Same page, same section: Moral Event Horizon: Fantomex crossed it by either killing ForgetMeNot or manipulating Hope in order to get more powerfull and then gloating in her face about it.

- ''Series/ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia'' "Frank's Back in Business": After Frank gets his job back as an executive at Atwater Capital, he meets some potential Japanese investors over a nyotaimori meal.
—>'''Frank''': I want this sushi dinner to be the tits!
'''Charlie''': Okay, so you want it to be really expensive.
'''Frank''': No! No! I mean I want to eat it off some Jap broad's tits!
- ''WesternAnimation/TheBoondocks'': The password to unlock the building from the "It's Goin Down" episode is "eat my ass". When the guard that Uncle Ruckus is interrogating tells him, Ruckus thinks he is being insulted and continues to torture him for the password.
- Alex pays a scalper with a piggy bank containing his savings in the ''Series/TheWorstYearOfMyLifeAgain'' episode, "Concert Tickets". By the time he realises that he has been ripped off, the scalper has scarpered and the only thing left behind is the shattered fragments of the bank.
- ''Series/HumanGiant'' has a re-enactment of a [[GoingPostal workplace shooting rampage]] go wrong when one of the extras goes on a real shooting spree. Since the camera man dropped the camera while running away, the show makes a re-enactment of the re-enactment. The show ends with the host being shot by the camera man and a preview of next week's re-enactment of the host getting shot.
—>'''Wade''': When I heard that more people had died in the re-enactment of my killing spree than my actual killing spree, I was kinda mad... at first, then I thought it was pretty awesome.
Corrected. Anything else that needs changing?
