I just have to verify reading the rules, is the maximum limit of a character's power Abnormal Weight or Super Weight? The "power levels below" bit is unclear to me on whether someone who has Functional Magic would be a-okay as a Player Character.
edited 29th Jun '17 11:30:32 PM by JustaUsername
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree. It's super weight (weight 3). Functional magic is fine.
I've edited the rules to hopefully make this a little clearer.

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Source: Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Name: Fawful
Age: Between 23 and 47
Gender: Male
Species: Beanish
Appearance: Here.
Personality: Odd, to say the least. He's a genius, but not in language. He speaks Engrish exclusively, and makes LOTS of food-related metaphors. He has a tendency to call anyone he dislikes a "fink-rat". He's always Crazy-Prepared. He never says, "I am", instead he says, "I have". He treats those loyal to him well, even if they are only loyal because they were brainwashed. He has a strong hatred towards Mario and Luigi. He never stops holding a grudge. He will get his revenge, even if it takes 10 years of nothing but preparations. He's also evil. That's also important.
Backstory: He used to be Cackletta's Dragon, but then Cackletta was defeated by Mario and Luigi. He then sucked up Cackletta's soul using his headgear, and let her possess Bowser, creating Bowletta. After Mario and Luigi were nearly to Bowletta, Fawful fought Mario and Luigi, but lost, and fell out of the currently floating Bowser's castle. Some time later, Fawful used Blorb Mushrooms to "blorb" some of the Toads, then gave Bowser a Vaccuum Shroom, making him inhale Mario, Luigi, Peach, Starlow, some toads, and some other stuff. Eventually, Bowser made it to Peach's castle, where Fawful was, and defeated Midbus, who was Fawful's loyal toady. Immediately afterwards, the Dark Star awoke, and Fawful began sucking in it's power using his headgear. He started absorbing the Dark Star's power, but that was interrupted by him being punched away by Bowser.
Abilities: Flying using the flying saucer, flying using the headgear, ramming, swinging using the headgear, shooting electricity balls one at a time using the headgear, superheated gas from the dome, multiple electricity balls from the headgear at once, a circular stream of stars using the star gun, a ring of electricity spheres around the dome, electricity spheres through black portals, a ring of dark electricity spheres, sucking up things using the headgear, giving someone temporary ice powers using the star gun, and healing gas from the headgear.
Skills: He is extremely good with technology. For example, given the right materials, he can turn a castle into a robot in less that 6 hours. He is also an exceptionally good cook.
Items: Headgear (Allows Fawful to do many things, including fly, more on the other things in abilities.), cone-shaped flying saucer which is about as big as Bowser (Allows Fawful to fly without using the headgear.), a dome which is also the flying saucer, and about as big (A button on the dome changes it to the flying saucer, and vice versa.), and a star gun (Has two settings. The first setting is shooting a circular stream of stars. The second setting is giving someone temporary ice powers. Refer to Blizzard Midbus as an example of the second.).
Reason: He was punched to the Traveler's Hub by Bowser.
Other: Almost all of his abilities are entirely dependent on his items, and they occasionally need fixing. All of his attacks are dodgeable, as long as you know how to dodge them. Also, he is weak physically.
(I have no idea how to do bullet points. Sorry.)

"BY THE POWER OF SPARKLES AND MAGIC YOU SHALL NOW HAVE BABIES" - Starclan 5/21/17 "What is it, land on Luigi day?" - LuigiI'd love to join, I just need to narrow down my choices. Pretty sure I can't play the entirety of the Phantom Thieves both by the rules and my own ability, but I'm just not too sure which 3 would be best together.
What's the Hub look like, exactly? Or is that something that will be put in more detail later on?
@Fawful: Unfortunately, this sheet's unacceptable in its current form. Just to begin with, it's rather sloppily formatted; use of bullet points would make the sheet considerably easier for me to review. Secondly, this is not an RP that relies on character stats; all the references to in-game stats should be edited out. And finally, it seems a fair few of his items/abilities are really vaguely defined (how big is that flying saucer, for instance?).
I'll look the sheet over once you've dealt with these issues.
@Truth: I was going to post the locations once the Discussion thread went up, but if it'd help you or anyone else with their sheets, the list can be found here (feel free to ask for clarification if anything comes off as too vague).

The Prodigal Son returns.Edited. I have no idea how to do bullet points. Sorry.
"BY THE POWER OF SPARKLES AND MAGIC YOU SHALL NOW HAVE BABIES" - Starclan 5/21/17 "What is it, land on Luigi day?" - LuigiI'll keep an eye on this. Been meaning to use a OC character for a novel I'm trying to debut with.
- Source: Undertale
- Name: Papyrus
- Age, Gender and Species: Somewhere around late teens and early twenties, male, skeleton
- Appearance: NYEH HEH HEH!!!◊
- Personality: Papyrus is very much an oddball and seems to be on a different wavelenght from everyone. He has a love for puzzles (although he's not very good at them) and enjoys cooking, particularly pasta and especially spaghetti (and he's very bad at it). He also has a very high opinion of himself to the point of narcissism, however he also believes in the potential of other people and never puts them down, instead trying to motivate them to one day become as great as him (or, well, close to it) and never giving up on them. Underneath all that self-confidence, however, lies someone that just wants to make friends and who would do almost anything he could to please others into liking him. As such, Papyrus is a genuinely innocent and nice person, but also easily manipulated.
- Backstory: Not much is known about Papyrus, other than he and his brother Sans suddenly showed up in Snowdin and asserted themselves. He began trying to join the Royal Guard as a way of earning everyone's respect and admiration, ending up befriending the captain, Undyne, in the process. Undyne began giving him warrior training and tasked him with capturing any humans that show up... which he failed spectacularly and ended up becoming friends with them in the process. Luckily for him, everybody else ended up doing the same too.
- Abilities/Skills/Powers
- Bone Magic: Papyrus can summon bones that he can use in a variety in ways. Ranging from simply throwing them to making them sprout and travel along it. He's also capable of making them change in length along the way. He can also summon blue bones that only damage their target if they're moving at the moment of contact.
- Blue Magic: Papyrus can turn a target's soul blue and so increase the effect of gravity on them, making movement more difficult but not overwhelmingly so, as well as making harder for those who can fly to stay in the air. It can only be done to one target at a time and doesn't work on soulless beings.
- Items: A cellphone.
- Why is your character here?: Papyrus took a wrong turn somewhere.
@Thegeniusyoshi: Bullet points are done via asterisks (*). Just put one at the start of a line. Anyway, with the edits now I'm not seeing anything else really objectionable, so Fawful is accepted.
@MovieReference: Unfortunately, your sheet's unacceptable for the simple fact it's a solid block of text. Format it properly and I'll review it then.
@Full Moon: I'm not seeing anything objectionable here, so Papyrus is accepted.

"BY THE POWER OF SPARKLES AND MAGIC YOU SHALL NOW HAVE BABIES" - Starclan 5/21/17 "What is it, land on Luigi day?" - Luigi- Source: Rom
- Name: Rom
- Age, gender, species: 200 year old Elonian male
- '''Appearance: By the Solstar Order!◊
- Personality: Rom’s status as a “Knight” isn’t just a title – in many ways, he is the archetypical knight in shining armor. Just, pure of heart, and fantically devoted to his quest to fight evil across the galaxy, Rom exemplifies many of the best qualities of the Solstar Order. Like all Knights of the Order, Rom refuses to take the lives of any creature other than the Dire Wraiths, no matter the circumstances - and has even been known to extend mercy to creatures infected by Wraith genetics. But beneath his platitudes and battle cries lies a grim and exhausted warrior who has turned his weariness into a single-minded dedication to destroying the villainous Dire Wraiths once and for all. Rom protects the innocent and those uninvolved in his war, but those who knowingly aid the Wraiths will have justice delivered upon them.
- Backstory: Two hundred years ago, Rom was a young geologist living on the distant world of Elonia. When a meteor shower hit nearby, he investigated… only for the innocent meteors to explode, revealing that they were Dire Wraiths in disguise. Rom was forced to take up arms against the creatures that had once been his family, and in the aftermath joined the Solstar Order: the ancient, interstellar order of warriors dedicated to fighting the Wraith menace. Early into his training, Rom discovered a strange “ore” during a battle with the Dire Wraiths – a living metal that permanently bonded with his body to form a suit of powerful armor. Though the Solstar Order routed the Wraiths from Elonia, the planet was destroyed and rendered uninhabitable. Over the next two hundred years, Rom and his cohorts Livia and Fy-laa purused the Wraiths across the galaxy, hunting them across dozens of civilizations .In 2016, Rom arrived on Earth, where he discovered that the Dire Wraiths had used an extraterrestrial ore to empower themselves further. Realizing that the Wraiths had infiltrated Earth’s government, Rom put down the Wraith who had replaced Joe Colton, head of G.I. Joe; in turn, this saw him drawn into a larger battle involving the Cybertronians on Earth teaming up against an extradimensional threat. In the aftermath, Rom continues to safeguards the Earth from Dire Wraiths, knowing that he has allies he can call upon should the situation be too much to handle.
- Abilities/skills/powers: Rom’s metal suit possesses the ability to fly through space and provide indefinite life support in hostile conditions. Rom can also mentally morph this metal into Energy Analyzers; an onboard sensor suite designed to detect Dire Wraiths in the immediate vicinity. His outer wrist gauntlets house the Neutralizer, a powerful disintegrating blaster specifically designed to target Wraith genetics, conferring upon him strong resistance to magic, sorcery, and other arcane arts. Additionally, Rom's armor gives him phenomenal strength - strong enough to suplex Optimus Prime◊.
- Items: see above
- Why is your character here?: There are Dire Wraiths around! They could be hiding anywhere, as anyone… can Rom find them in time?

The Prodigal Son returns.@MovieReference: Just looking at this character is giving me massive Mary Sue, or at least "OC Edgelord" vibes. The name, the daemon nature, the fact his personality's unpleasant yet he somehow managed to be loved enough to earn a vacation.
This sadly isn't the sort of character most would enjoy reading about, much less interact with in an RP. So this signup is rejected.
@Locoman: How strong is the Neutralizer, exactly? And what's the upper limit on the amount of Energy Analyzers he can make?
Icon by Civvi the Civilian! It seems to be targeted specifically to Dire Wraiths, but at maximum capacity it can disintegrate flesh... that said, it does not seem to work as well against things that aren't at least part-Wraith, though it can knock people unconscious (plus Rom doesn't kill things that aren't Wraiths)
As for the Energy Analyzer... I worded that poorly, there's just one he can summon and dematerialize at will, it's more like an onboard sensor suite than anything else.
I hope this is good enough; I'm not too proud of the way I write my signups >>
Source: Monster Pulse
Name: Abel Elizondo (& Rixis)
Age, Gender, and Species: 13, male, human
Appearance: Here he is. I wish there was a better picture, but Monster Pulse is a pretty obscure comic. You can click to the next few pages to see his eyepatch. And here's Rixis.◊
Personality: At first glance, Abel is a very quiet and reserved character, usually preferring to be alone (which is probably unhealthy for someone his age). Thanks to his monster, he’s been forced into a life of hiding, and this makes him very distrustful of anyone, even other kids with monsters. He mostly tries to keep up a tough demeanor, probably to be intimidating, but the facade breaks rather easily. Deep down, he's just a kid, and he wants to enjoy kid things without the constant threat of SHELL breathing down his back.
Backstory: For much of Abel’s life, he lived with his mother and his sister Irene happily. Some time before the beginning of the story, Abel and Irene went into the woods to release a bat that Irene had found. However, while they were there, two “ghosts” manufactured by SHELL attacked the siblings. One attempted to enter Abel, but Irene jumped in and saved him. The ghost manifested as Irene’s lungs, and Abel, in a moment of panic, killed it with a stick, unknowingly killing his sister with it. The second ghost came in and manifested as Rixis, Abel’s new eye monster. Despite the circumstances, the two bonded rather quickly, but with SHELL on his tail, Abel was forced to flee and live the way he lives now.
Abilities/Skills/Powers: Rixis can shoot lasers using the light from the surrounding area, and if there isn't enough (like in a closed space) he can actually absorb the light, darkening the room and creating one big, more powerful laser. He can also save these lasers for a later time. Rixis can also construct decoys made of light, but he learns this much later in the story. And since Rixis is his eye, Abel can see anything that Rixis sees.
Items: A whistle he uses to give Rixis commands without actually having to say anything. Mostly for stealth.
Why is my character here?: Thanks to SHELL capturing kids with monsters, it's very dangerous for Abel in his world, so he wanted to take refuge in a place where no one would hunt him down.

The Prodigal Son returns.@Locoman: All right. Edit the clarifications in and Rom is accepted.
@ProTrash: Not seeing anything objectionable here, so Abel and Rixis are accepted. Presumably they'll be a little more social here than in COLC.

Name: Kyra Silverfin
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Species: Mermaid
Physical Description: Kyra has red hair and green eyes, standing about five foot seven and 160 lbs. Her mermaid form (which she can transition to at will) has a silver iridescent tail, like a rainbow trout.
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!Hmmm. Since you are aiming for more player driven plots, I suppose I should ask before I attempt to join, do I have to run my own plotline? I should probably give something like that a shot at some point, but I can't say G Ming or even psuedo G Ming, is anything I really have experience with.
Anyways, I'm planning on using the Doomslayer from the new Doom. I don't think there will be an issue with that.
Click Click Boom Boom@CyberController: This sheet's rather vague, particularly where the backstory and powers are concerned (the former comes off as a list of people she knows moreso than her history, and in the latter's case, you need to include EVERYTHING your character can do; saying "some" or "including" implies you're leaving things out).
It needs to be fleshed out a lot more in order to become acceptable.
@Kosjurake: No, you don't need to have a subplot of your own planned in order to join. If you'd rather just have your character interact with the others or join in on another player's subplot, that's perfectly fine.
As for the Doomslayer...in theory, there's no issue, but practice might be a different story.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!I know you said 3 characters, but would it be ok to sign up as a team of 4?
THIS RP HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED.
Somewhere in the vast reaches of the omniverse, there exists a place that many call the Traveler's Hub. No one knows where it came from, or who built it. What is known that it serves as a gateway between various different realities.
Many travelers pass through each day. Some come here willingly. Others get displaced from their home worlds and find themselves here by random chance. What do they make of this place, where they may see things that would be unthinkable in their home worlds and encounter situations they may have never dreamed of?
Well...that's for them to decide.
This massive multiplayer crossover is a little different from others. Here, there is no overarching plot seeking to answer why a bunch of characters from different universes are suddenly being brought together. Perhaps some characters were dragged here unwillingly by some outside force, but others came willingly, in pursuit of a personal goal.
In other words, this is a world where you, the players, can come up with your own stories.
The setting is centered around the Traveler's Hub, a sort of inter-dimensional train station. This place connects to a number of different worlds, each with their own locales to explore. There's plenty of stories able to be told here; all you have to do is pick your characters and go.
The list of locations can be found here, although this is not entirely final (the names in particular are placeholder, if that wasn't obvious). Feel free to comment if anything's too vague.
If you don't post in the RP for two weeks or so without supplying a reason, I'll remove you from this list. This does not mean you have been banned; you're welcome to return at any time with either the same characters or new ones. However, if you repeatedly drop out and want to rejoin, I may very well decide to refuse you entry at some point.
